Connection of hoof pipes with a box-like sealing body. The invention relates to a connection of socket pipes with sleeve-like sealing body. Its purpose is to create an elastically sealed insulating sleeve connection that is simple, reliable and easy to lay.
According to the invention, the bushing sealing body is designed in such a way that an annular section of the bushing is elastic and of such an enlarged cross-section that the pipes are completely sealed against one another Operating pressure is caused at this point,
and that solely as a result of the elastic deformation of the sealing section when the tubes are joined, and that a .sich to the sealing section of the sealing body subsequent approach made of leather-like, solid material the ringför-shaped section, with which it is connected to a unified whole , holds in its sealing position.
According to the invention, the sealing body consists of an elastic, sealing effecting part and of a leather-like, solid part that holds the ring against displacement.
This seal body is conveniently made of two different types of rubber. The useful one of the two pipes to be connected to each other hook-shaped encompassing part of the Dichtungskör pers consists of the harder, leather-like, solid type of rubber to which the sealing effecting, a enlarged cross-section having soft rubber part connects.
The sealing soft rubber bead is expediently arranged approximately in the middle of the composite ring.
It is essential that the seal is only achieved on a narrow ring surface in the socket jacket. If the entire sealing sleeve or sleeve were to have a cross-section corresponding to the bead height with the aim of sealing over the entire surface, then such a sleeve would not even be inserted into the space remaining free between the spigot end and sleeve.
In the, for example, hook-shaped, leather-like solid part of the sealing body, metal or other inserts can be embedded in such a way that they are encased on all sides by the possibly electrically insulating sealing material, so that the formation of galvanic elements, which corrosion favor., is excluded.
In the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of socket connections designed according to the invention are illustrated in partial cross-sections.
A first exemplary embodiment is shown in section in FIGS. 1 and 2, namely: FIG. 1 shows the parts before the sleeve is pushed over the sealing body on the spigot, and FIG. 2 shows the finished connection; Fig. 3 and 4 show in section a second embodiment, namely shows:
3 again shows a cross section through the connection before the introduction of the spigot end, and FIG. 4 shows the finished connection; A third modified embodiment example illustrate FIGS. 5 and 6; Fig. 5 shows a cross section through the connection immediately before. Inserting the spigot; Fig. 6 is a cross section through the fer term compound.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the sealing body is pushed onto the spigot end 1 of the pipe to be inserted into the socket 2, the rear part 3 of which is made of soft rubber with the annular recess 4, while the front part 5 adjoining it , which grips around the spigot by means of the projection 6 in a hook shape, consists of leather-like, solid rubber. The outer surface of the spigot end and the inner surface of the socket are smooth,
only at the entrance does the socket have a rounding 7 which makes it easier to insert.
The front part 5 and the rear part 3 form on both sides of the sealing section 4 from an at least partially closed jacket and thus cover the protruding into the sleeve 2 spigot 1 at least partially. This also protects the sealing section 4; In addition, the spigot end and the sleeve are electrically isolated from one another.
Instead of on the outside of the sealing ring with a smooth inside, the annular section 4 can also be provided on the inside with a smooth outside, but it can also be distributed on both sides.
From Fig. 2 it can be seen how the leather-like, fixed part of the sealing ring holds the sealing part in the correct position and at the same time isolates the pipes to be connected from each other.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, a more gradual transition is provided between the sealing section 4 and the front part 3 of the sealing body than after the rear part. The dimension from the front edge of the sealing body to the middle of the sealing section is shortened to such an extent that a free annular space remains in the socket entrance when the connection is completed.
Because the sealing body is the front one. Leaving part of the sleeve free, there is great mobility of the connection in all directions. reached. Deviations from the straight line, which amount to 11, can be achieved without difficulty and without changing the tightness of the connection.
In addition, as a result of the shortening of the front part of the sealing body compared to the embodiment according to FIG. 1 and 21 saved considerable amounts of rubber. This connection is therefore vorzugs Lich for all purposes where the special electrical insulation of the pipes from each other is not crucial.
The particular gradual transition between. the sealing bead and the other parts of the sealing body is provided in the Ausfüh approximately form with a shortened front part in particular special because otherwise, there would be a risk of the sealing cuff turning when it is pressed into the sleeve.
In order to emphasize the difference with respect to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 ', the' shape of the seal body according to the first embodiment is shown in dashed lines in FIG.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and I, the sealing ring-shaped section 4 falls more slowly towards the front part 3 of the sealing body than towards the rear part 5, to which the retaining lug 6 adjoins. This engages behind the spigot 1 of the pipe to be inserted into the socket 2.
From Fig. 4 it can be seen that the sleeves. entrance remains free.
While in the embodiments described so far, the sealing body engages hall-like behind the spigot end of the pipe to be inserted into the socket, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6, the sealing section 4 is provided at the inner end of the socket facing the socket base, during the this casing part engages in a hook-shaped manner in front of the socket. When making this connection, the sealing ring is first placed in the socket, and then the spigot is inserted.
In contrast, as with. the other two embodiments of the sealing body as a result of its hook-shaped design retaining part made of leather-like solid material, for. B. hard "ummi similar composition, while rend the sealing effecting bead made of highly elastic material, such. B. soft rubber.
So that in this modified version the sealing body cannot be pushed out of the socket under the effect of the pressure present in the line, an attachment is provided at the socket entrance in a depth corresponding to the ring width, behind which the sealing bead is placed.
At the same time, an annular groove 8 is provided in one of the widths of the sealing body corresponding to the abatand of the socket inlet, into which the bulge, which is bulged only on the outside of the ring, is inserted.
5 and 6 show the approach in the entrance of the sleeve 2, and the soft rubber section 4 of the sealing body, which engages with the best of leather-like solid material existing part 6, hook-shaped in front of the sleeve. Since the sealing body, the casing part of which is denoted here by 5, is smooth on the inside and the annular section 4 is bulged only on the outside, the spigot end 1 can be inserted without difficulty. The sealing section 4 is there deformed in the manner shown in FIG.
