Electric circuit breaker with fluid injection cut-off pot. The main patent relates to an electrical circuit breaker in which a liquid is injected into a blowing pot surrounding the arc. In this circuit breaker, the liquid is injected into the pot, preferably through a hollow movable contact and the end of this contact facing the solidified contact, placed outside the pot, advantageously forms a nozzle. narrow section injection. The purpose of the injection is to make it easier to cut weak currents.
In the arrangement described in the main patent, the injection pump provided inside the hollow movable contact comprises a central injection orifice placed at the lower end of the contact. This arrangement has the disadvantage that, in certain cases, the additional blowing by the pump does not reach the part of the arc which attaches to the edge of the movable contact, the orifice of the nozzle being placed at the end. same height as the attachment point of the bow and next to it. So,
the blowing fluid emanating from this nozzle does not penetrate inside the gas bubble developed by the upper part of the arc, which makes breaking more difficult.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback. It relates to an electrical circuit breaker in which a fluid is injected into a cut-off pot by turning the arc, this pot being provided with two or openings for the passage of the mobile contact and the fluid being injected through the immobile pot, in the direction of the solidified contact placed outside the pot, this circuit breaker being characterized by a nozzle comprising at least one blowing orifice located on the periphery of the hollow movable contact, such that it turns a projecting center of the movable contact, this center being placed in front of the nozzle, in. the direction of the injection.
The accompanying drawing shows partially and in section an exemplary embodiment of the object of the invention, h represents the lower end of the tube 6 of the main patent, forming a movable contact and ending in a nozzle 10. here comprising two orifices 12 and 13 placed at the periphery of the nozzle. Between these openings and in front of them extends a metal point 14, placed in the axis of the tube 6 and the nozzle 10.
When the contacts separate, one end of the breaking arc attaches to tip 14, so that this attachment point is always swept by at least one of the outgoing jets. of the orifices 12 and 13 of the nozzle. Furthermore, the construction of the circuit breaker may be similar to that shown in the main patent.
