Description
Frame with glass fitting for windows. The common types of putty, which are used for cementing the glass in window frames made of wood or metal, such as "iron, bronze, light metal alloys, stainless steel, etc., have too little adhesion to these building materials. As a result, it often does not come off hardened putty, especially in the case of metal frames, from the top and side putty rebates of the frame and oozes out of the putty rebates.
The present invention is a frame with a glass frame for windows, for example shop windows, in which the putty fold is provided with grooves on the side walls to avoid this inconvenience, in which the putty engages securely so that the putty does not swell. The putty fold can have a rectangular or dovetail cross-section; in the latter case, the hold of the putty in the putty fold is increased.
In the accompanying drawing, exemplary embodiments of the frame with the glass socket are shown. Fig. 1 shows a frame in front view and Fig. 2 shows the cross-section through the frame along line a-a of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 to 5 show examples of the design of the glass version.
In Fig. 1 and 2, 1 denotes the frame, 2 denotes the cover strip, 3 denotes the glass pane, 4 denotes the putty in the putty fold.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the frame 9 carries a front bar 10 and a rear bar 11. These two bars are provided with grooves on the mutually facing sides. They form the putty fold 13 in which the glass pane 12 is sealed by means of the putty. The grooves in which the putty engages securely prevents the putty from swelling.
While in the embodiments according to FIGS. 3 and 4 the putty fold has a rectangular cross-section, in the frame according to FIG. 5, the legs 14 and the cover strip 15 are provided on the inside with a suit and with grooves, so that these parts have a cross-section Form dovetail shaped putty fold 17, the sides of which are grooved walls. 16 represents the glass pane.
