Automatische Rostfeuerung.
Automatic grate firing. The subject of the present invention is an automatic grate firing with traveling grate. In known grate firing systems of this type, the traveling grate is designed as an endless chain which is guided over two pairs of wheels and which promotes the fuel as its combustion progresses.
According to the invention, the grate is designed as a rotating drum grate, on the upper drum half of which the fuel, which is adjustable in its layer height, burns and moves in front of the Bmikerseite to the opposite side with respect to the drum grate, where the slag passes through a The device works together with the drum grate and is dammed up and crushed and then reaches the slag container, the whole being designed in such a way that the primary air flows through the lower,
The free drum grate half flows into the fuel layer and thereby cools the grate, while the hot secondary air flows into the furnace directly above the fuel layer at least approximately perpendicular to the fire gases rising from the fuel layer.
In the drawing, an execution example of the invention is shown.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section through the same on line A-B in Fig. 2; Fig. 2 is a horizontal section through the same along line C-D in Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a cross section through the grate bars.
For example, a daily supply is stored in the bunker 1 ; The upper half of the drum grate 4 adjoins the neck 2 of this bunker provided at the bottom and is set in slow rotation by the motor 14 via a reduction gear; a slide 3 regulates the height of the coal layer on the grate. This drum grate is mainly formed by grate bars 18 running parallel to the drum axis, the cross-section of which has a shape such that the gap 19, formed by two adjacent bars has parts that are at least approximately perpendicular to each other.
On the side opposite the bunker with respect to the drum grate axis, a roller 6 is arranged running parallel to the drum grate axis and provided with tooth-like projections. This roller is set in rotation by friction from the drum grate. An air duct extending over the entire length of the drum grate with nozzles 16 opening towards the combustion chamber 8 is designated by 12. The fan 13 driven by the motor 17 supplies the secondary air into this air duct 12 and the primary air into the chamber 11, from there through a slide 15 controlled nozzles in the lower part of the drum grate 4 flows.
The water heating surfaces which delimit the combustion spaces 8 and 9 are designated by 20. The slag container is designated with 7 .
The mode of operation is now as follows: since 9 fuel, which is deposited through the neck 2 of the bunker 1 on the upper half of the frost, is adjustable in its layer height by the slide 3 migrates from the side of the bunker 1 to the side of the roller 6 when the drum 4 is set in rotation in the sense of the arrow drawn in FIG. 1; The speed of rotation of the drum is adapted to the speed of combustion in such a way that the fuel is completely burned in the case of roller 6.
The slag that collects at the roller 6 is crushed between the drum 4 and this roller 6 and falls into the container 7. The primary air is passed through the fan 18 is pressed into the chamber 11 and flows from there through the nozzles controlled at the front 15 into the lower part of the drum grate, cooling it and penetrates the fuel layer 5 .
The secondary air, which is also supplied by the fan 13 , is heated in the air duct 12 and flows through the nozzles 16 over the fuel layer at least approximately at right angles to the fire gases rising vertically from the fuel pushes, which are mixed well with this bitter secondary air and burn up completely in rooms 8 and 9 . The heat generated in this way is given off to the surrounding meat surfaces 20 and the combustion gases leave the boiler as flue gases through the nozzle 10.
If a sufficient water temperature is reached, the electric motors are switched off in a known manner by a thermostat and the fire is maintained by natural draft until heat is required again. Instead of supplying the combustion air through a fan, the necessary combustion air can be sucked into the grate furnace through the natural chimney, whereby a main air flap is regulated by a thermostat. A safety switch can also be installed, which takes over the control of the furnace in periods of low heat demand and switches the motors on and off in order to maintain the furnace.
These control devices are not shown on the drawing.
