Electrical switch that is moved into the switch-off position by a pressure medium, in particular with arc extinguishing by compressed gas. In the case of electrical switches that are moved into the switch-off position by a pressure medium, in particular with arc extinguishing by compressed gas, the switch-off is usually initiated by opening a valve that releases the supply of pressure medium, in particular compressed air, to the drive device, which is in - Is generally designed as a piston drive.
Under certain circumstances, it can now happen that the switch moves in the switch-off direction without the pressure medium being applied to the drive cylinder. This case occurs, for example, when the switch does not latch itself properly in the on position when it is switched on and now falls back into the off position under the influence of its weight or other forces.
Such a process is dangerous for the switch because the switch-off movement does not take place at the required speed and it is therefore to be feared that the contacts will scorch and weld together, or that after they have been separated, the interrupting arc will stop and the switch destroyed.
This risk is now with the switch according to the invention, which is moved by a pressure medium into the off position, prevented by additional organs influenced by the Schaltbewe conditions, which automatically cause the supply of the pressure medium to the drive device when the switch contacts are below due to the influence of other forces than that of the pressure medium in the disconnection direction. This makes it possible for the switch-off movement to take place at a sufficiently high switching speed in any case and also to be carried out into the end position, so that the above-mentioned disruption possibilities can be avoided.
The invention offers particular advantages in such switches in which the pressure medium is also used to extinguish the arc at the same time; because in this case a common valve for the application of the drive device and the contacts with the pressure medium is expediently provided and, as a result, the additional influence of the valve also achieves the advantageous effect that the supply of extinguishing agent to the contacts is guaranteed under all circumstances.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei game of the subject invention is shown schematically as a pressure gas switch.
The compressed gas stored in a container 1 is fed in a known manner via a valve 2 to the drive cylinder 3 and at the same time to the contact point 4. The valve 2 has in addition to the normal electro-magnetic release device 5, which is controlled by a manual switch or an overcurrent relay, yet another via a toggle lever arrangement 6 to attacking pneumatic. Release device 7, which is operated by a mechanically controlled valve 9 by means of the lever 8 who can.
The toggle lever arrangement 6 is used to make the valve control independent of the position of the piston 10 located in the cylinder 7 in normal triggers by means of the electromagnet 5 can. The closing of the valve 2 he follows independently of the opening pulses by means of known means, not shown.
The additional triggering device 7, 9 serves to open the valve 2 even when the switch moves with the closed valve in the switch-off direction. For this purpose, the switching rod 11 has a driver pin 12 which actuates a lever 13 provided with an elongated hole guide. The lever .13 sits loosely on a shaft 14 on which a ratchet wheel 15 and a cam 16 are keyed. The cam 16 actuates the lever 8, which is provided with a roller 17 and is rotatable about the bolt 18 and in turn controls the valve 9.
The lever 13 is coupled to the ratchet wheel 15 by a pawl 19 which is triggered in the off position of the switch by a stop 20, whereupon the camshaft 14 is returned to the rest position shown by a spring 21. The switch is held in the drawn a switching position by a latch, not shown, which is normally released pneumatically at the beginning of the switch-off process, for example through the pressure gas flowing to the switch-off cylinder 3. To switch on the drive cylinder 3 pressurized gas is fed through the pipe 22.
To explain the mode of operation, it is assumed that the switch when switched on has not latched properly in the on position and is now, for example under the influence of its weight, moves in the direction of arrow 23 into the off position without the valve 2 has been opened. In this case, it would take place too slowly, and as a result, the interruption arc arising at the contact point 4 would not be extinguished, especially since the contact point would not be blown with compressed gas.
Here, the additional triggering device for the valve 2 comes into effect in that the shift linkage 11 rotates the lever 13 counterclockwise by means of the driver 12, which in turn takes the ratchet wheel 15 with it via the pawl 19: As a result, the shaft 14 rotates offset, and the cam 16 rotates the lever 8 clockwise so that the water opens the valve 9.
As a result, pressurized gas flows from the container 1 via the pipe 24 and the valve 9 into the release valve 7, the piston of which moves to the right as soon as there is sufficient pressure in the cylinder 7. This causes the rod 6 the valve 2 is opened so that the drive cylinder 3 is pressurized with compressed gas, and the switching process is carried out at the prescribed switching speed while simultaneously blowing the contact point 4. The arrangement is such that the valve 2 is already opened before the contacts 4 have separated.
This prevents damage to the switch from being switched off too slowly or a lack of contact blowing.
As soon as the switch comes into the switch-off position, the pawl 19 pushes against the stop 20 and is thereby decoupled from the ratchet wheel 15, which by the spring 21 now returns to the rest position together with the shaft 14 and the cam 16, whereupon the lever 8 the valve 9 releases and it can return to its closed position.
In order to prevent the triggering device from responding during normal switching operations in which the switch-off movement is initiated by opening the valve 2 by means of the trigger 5, the cylinder chamber 7 is to be released in relation to the passage cross-section of the valve 9 by releasing the pawl 19 closed again before the triggering piston 10 responds. The delay can be made adjustable by Drosselvorrich lines in the supply line to the cylinder 7 or by controllable vent openings on this.
The setting is made so that the release piston 10 only acts to open the valve 2 when the switch-off movement of the switch lasts a longer time than is provided for the normal switch-off process. When the valve 2 is opened by means of the trigger 5, the toggle linkage 6 kinks, so that the valve movement occurs independently of the position of the triggering piston 10.
As a result of the ratchet 15, the device acts in such a way that the cam 16 is not influenced by the lever 1a during the switch-on movement, so that the valve 9 and thus also the valve 2 do not open.
Instead of a pneumatic trigger, you can also arrange an additional electrical Auslösevorriehtung, for example in the form of a contact device that is actuated by the switching linkage during its Ausaltbewe supply and controls a circuit for opening the shut-off valve 2. In this case, an electrical delay device (time relay) is expediently provided and the arrangement is made in such a way that the contact device is not actuated by the linkage during the switch-on movement.
The safety device according to the invention can also be used advantageously with other types of power switches, for example with liquid switches, provided that their drive device works with a pressure medium that moves the switch into the off position.
