Transmission facility. The task of transmission facilities is often to transmit signals simultaneously in two directions on the same traffic route. For this purpose, either two connection channels have been used so far, or the individual signals have been transmitted one after the other to one and the same channel, the transmission process being connected in the other direction only after completion of a complete transmission process in one direction. The first solution has the disadvantage that two connections are required for the provision of which, especially in the case of high-frequency transmission, considerable resources have to be expended.
The second solution cannot be used in many cases because the transmission takes place with too much inertia. The latter disadvantage therefore excludes the use of this system for high-speed transmissions, as is necessary, for example, for selective protection and telecontrol technology.
In the device according to the invention, this enables simultaneous traffic in both directions on one and the same connection channel that the current serving as the carrier of the signals, for example the message or the command, is sent intermittently in both directions rather than continuously where a pulse in one direction falls between two pulses in the other direction. For this purpose, the carrier current transmitters in both stations inevitably control each other mutually, for example in such a way that every pulse from one side triggers an impulse from the other side.
The pulses can be either direct current, alternating current or high frequency pulses that BEZW by using different pulse groups, different polarities or intensities. different modulation frequencies can be made into signal carriers. It is useful to ensure that a signal is only generated at the receiving location if its composition complies with a prescribed law.
The mutual rhythmic control of the signal transmitters can of course be carried out at a very high frequency. In the limiting case, it can be driven to such an extent that a high-frequency period of one transmitter triggers a corresponding high-frequency period of the other transmitter.
In the accompanying drawing, the invention is shown, for example, on a high-frequency selective protection device. The task here is to shut down a faulty line section from the network on both sides as quickly as possible after a fault occurs. The criterion for disconnection is the size and direction of the overcurrent. If the energy is directed towards the line to be protected at both ends of the line, the fault is within this line section.
It is therefore the task of the pinhole frequency selective protection device to report the overcurrent conditions from one end to the other, and to only allow the line to be switched off there if the energy directions at both ends of the line are opposite and into the line are directed into it.
In Fig. 1 the corresponding facilities of one station, and in Fig. 2 those of the other station is shown. In both stations there is a direction relay RR, which is fed via a voltage converter Sp and the current converters StR and StT. In addition, the overcurrent relays ÜR and ÜT are provided.
In the example given, it is assumed that the high-frequency transmission device is normally used for other purposes, for example remote switching or remote measurement, and is only switched to the selective protection device for the duration of this fault if a line fault occurs.
If the direction relay and one of the overcurrent relays respond in station A, contact rr and one of contacts üR and üT are closed. As a result, the changeover relay B, which has a dropout delay, is connected to voltage. The latter switches with its changeover contact b. the remote control transmitter ES and with its Wech selkontakt b2 the remote control receiver FE.
At the same time, the relay Z (winding 3 to 4) is energized via the working contact b4 and the brush <I> DA </I> of the selector <I> D, </I>, which should be in the zero position, which by means of its working contact z excites the drive magnet of the selector D, so that its cone arms <I> DA </I> and <I> DB </I> are controlled on the first step, the relay Z becomes de-energized again.
During this selector step, the armature contact da of selector D was temporarily closed, so that the pulse relay <I> 7 </I> was temporarily connected to voltage via the normally closed contact e 'of the high-frequency receiver relay E in the high-frequency receiver HFE. The latter controls the high-frequency transmitter HFS with its working contact il, so that a high-frequency pulse is sent to station B via the coupling capacitor K and the long-distance line <I> T </I>.
This high-frequency pulse can not be received in the high-frequency receiver of the station A, because the receiving relay E is disconnected for the duration of the pulse through the normally closed contact i2.
In station B, the transmitted high-frequency pulse is received by the high-frequency receiver HEE, with the receiving relay E responding and with its. Normally open contact e2 applies voltage to relay Z (winding 1-2) via b2 and b4.
Since it was assumed that the overcurrent in station B should also be directed into the line, the contact rr of the direction relay RB and the contact üR, respectively. üT the overcurrent relay Üa resp. ÜT closed, so that for the duration of the overcurrent, relay B, which also has a dropout delay, is connected to voltage.
The relay Z now controls the selector D with its working contact z, so that its contact arms are brought out of the zero position to the first step. In this position, the second winding of the relay iZ (3-4) is connected to voltage via contact 1 of the contact path <I> DA </I> of the selector <I> D </I>, so that there is over the normally open contact z the drive coil D receives a new pulse. 1-) The selector arms <I> DA </I> and DB now come to the second contact, with the pulse relay J being excited via the armature contact <I> da </I> and the now closed normally closed contact e1.
In the same way as in station <I> A </I>, the make contact i 'controls the high-frequency transmitter HFS so that a pulse is sent to station A. During this pulse, the receiving relay E of the high-frequency receiver HFE is in turn disconnected by the open normally closed contact i ', so that the pulse sent out is not effective in its own station.
As can be seen, the pulse relay 1 can only respond when the selector D makes a step on the basis of a transmitted pulse and not on the basis of a received pulse, since in the latter case the normally closed contact i 'is open.
The pulse sent back to station A causes there in the same way the excitation of the receiving relay E, which sets the control relay Z (winding 1-2) under current via e2, b = and b4. Through the working contact <I> z </I> the rotary magnet <I> D </I> in turn receives a current step, so that the voters poor <I> DA </I> and <I> DB </I> can also be controlled on the second contact. At this point, the contact arms of the voters in both stations are on the second step.
Since in station A the second winding of relay Z (3-4) is again connected to voltage via the second contact of the selector path <I> DA </I>, further control of selector D takes place via z, whereby The pulse relay J is excited via the armature contact <I> da </I> and another pulse is sent to the opposite station B. This brings the selector arms <I> DA </I> and <I> DB </I> to the third contact in the manner already described. In this position the relay Z (winding 3-4) responds again, controls the selector D to the fourth contact, whereby a pulse is also sent back to the station A so that now both selectors are on the fourth contact.
In these positions of the voters, relay C is energized in both stations via contact 4 of the selector path <I> DB </I>, which in turn triggers the oil switch (not shown) by switching on the tripping magnet I> AS </I> causes. Since the overcurrent disappears here, the contacts rr of the directional relay <I> RR </I> and the contacts of the overcurrent relay are opened, so that the relay B is de-energized and with a delay. fall off.
As a result, the selector magnets D receive intermittent power in both stations via the break contact b3 and the shaft contact wo, as well as the self-breaker contact <I> du </I>, so that they are transported to the zero position in which the shaft contacts where are open. At the same time, the remote control transmitter FS and the remote control receiver FE are switched on again through the contacts b 'and b2, so that the remote control system can be operated normally again.
Instead of the selector, other relays, for example tube relays, can be used that allow the pulse frequency to be increased significantly. This can practically be driven so far that a high-frequency surge (a decaying period) already triggers an equally large high-frequency surge from the opposite side, so that the pulse frequency on the line is itself a high frequency again.
The device can be designed in such a way that one of the two stations determines the clock for the oncoming traffic and that only one station can ever start the call in order to avoid pulses being sent from both stations at the same time.
The circuit is expediently designed so that the call pulse is repeated at any frequency until the opposite station answers, the frequency of the repetition of the start pulse being appropriately chosen lower than the frequency of the alternate transmission times. This prevents the two transmitters from being able to synchronize if the call pulse is suppressed due to external interference or if the other station is not yet ready to receive.
If a call impulse is answered by the other side, both transmitters automatically adjust to the frequency given by the constants of the receiving device used (mechanical relay or electron relay).
This method for simultaneous transmission in both directions on one and the same transmission channel can of course also be used for purposes other than selective protection. For example, it is possible to transmit remote measurement and remote control signals simultaneously on the same channel, the message itself being transmitted by appropriate modulation of the carrier pulses.
