Process for the manufacture of brain capes. The present invention is a method for the production of umbrella caps, that is, caps with an umbrella at the front, in which felt stumps are rolled over a form in order to obtain a seamless product.
The invention also relates to the device for carrying out the above-mentioned method, which according to the invention has an end shape composed of cap piece and umbrella piece, in which the cap piece, which is formed from front and rear parts held in position by intermediate parts, has a groove for the tight binding of the felt stump when walking is provided with a piece of umbrella with a fitting pin.
Finally, a canopy created according to the method mentioned also forms the present invention.
From the exemplary execution of the method according to the invention, the Nenden device is in the drawing, an example of the final shape of the same Darge provides. 1 is a diagram of a felt stump, FIG. 2 is a diagram of a canopy made therefrom, FIG. 3 is a diagram of the end shape used to produce the canopy, FIG. I is a cross section through the end shape drawn apart along line IV -IV in Fig. 3,
Fig. 5 is a diagram of the front portion of the cap piece of the final shape, Fig. 6 is a top plan view of the screen piece of the final shape, and FIGS. 7 and 8 are illustrations to clarify the screen stiffener where in FIG. 8 shows the section along the line VII-VII in FIG.
The felt stump 1 shown in FIG. 1 forms the initial shape for the canopy to be provided without a seam according to FIG. 2.
To carry out the process, an end shape according to FIGS. 3 to 6 is used. A rear part 2 provided with a projection 2 'is combined by a three-part inter mediate part 3 with a front part 5 also having a discharge 4 to form a cap piece. The rear and front parts are connected to the intermediate part by .Nut and tongue and the front part has a protruding edge 6 on which the screen piece 7 of the mold belonging to the end shape is placed. The location of this piece on the front piece of the cap piece is set by hole 8 and pin 8 '.
The screen piece 7 has under the screen edge of the cap to be placed on a groove 9, wel surface is intended for inserting the cord when Festbin to the felt stump on the form during flexing.
The course of the process for the formation of umbrella caps from the felt stumps is roughly as follows: The felt stumps are first completely soaked through repeated immersion in water and kneading with water and are then steamed in a box, whereupon they are pulled over a fulling head and stretched and expanded . This is repeated until the Filzstum pen can be drawn to the final shape described above.
On this form, the stump is tied and milled after inserting binding cords into the flute 10 and the flute 9 of the umbrella piece formed by the umbrella and the bulge of the front part of the cap piece, in order to let the felt cling smoothly to the shape. By repeated steaming and tumbling of the loosely tied and tied again felt dull, this part, shown in dashed lines in FIG. In this state, the felt is dried and cut according to the dashed line, so that there is enough margin everywhere to put it around and form a hem.
The waste obtained from the felt cloth hanging down over the rear part of the final shape is shown in FIGS. 7 and 8. used as a lining to stiffen the screen, with a carton strip fen 11 is provided as an additional stiffening insert.
With the method described above it is possible to produce seamless and impregnable caps.
