Description

Container closure device, especially for bottles and boeaug. The object of the present invention is a container closure device. especially for bottles and jars. This device is characterized by a cap intended to cover the neck of the container and having, on its edge, on the one hand, at least one retracting projection, intended to engage under the outer wad of the neck and, d 'on the other hand, a lever, one end of which forms an operating member and the other of which has an eccentric which can be engaged under said bolt.

Said appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device forming the subject of the present invention.

The fi-. 1 is a plan view and the fi--. '\ 22 an elevational view: FIG. 3 is a vertical section taken on line III-III of fi * 1 and shows the device in place on a bottle neck.

The embodiment shown com takes a metal cap 1 intended for. coif iron the neck -1 of a bottle. On its turn, this cap has two reinforcing projections 2 and, between them, a loop 3 directed downwards, in which a spring 4 passes in an arc of a circle, extending over more than 180 and enclosing the neck. Some embodiments may have only one re-entrant projection instead of two.

On the edge of the cap 1, opposite the protrusions 2, are made two carriages 5, in which turn the journals 6 of a lever 7, one end 8 of which serves as an operating member, while the other end is terminated by an eccentric 9; 10 is a plastic gasket which provides the seal; the axis of rotation of this lever is horizontal and tangent to the edge of the cap.

Fig. 3 shows the device in the closed position. The two projections 2 are then engaged under the bead B of the neck A; the same applies to the eccentric 9, the lever 7 being in the vertical position. To open, it is brought to a horizontal position, the eccentric first slides on the ramp B, from the neck, slightly lifting the cap 1, which allows it to take off if necessary, then the eccentric is completely released. tally from under the bead; we can then fold the cap around the spring 4 to which it remains attached by the loop 3.
