Mechanically driven high-voltage rectifier for multi-phase, especially three-phase current. The invention relates to a mechanically driven high-voltage rectifier for llehrpha @ sen-, in particular three-phase current for electricity consumers with low energy requirements, for example electrostatic precipitators or X-ray systems, in which the individual phases are switched synchronously on a two-wire rice, as is well known.
The invention aims to design a rectifier of this type so that the high voltage coming from the multiphase power source (transformer) is multiplied, so that a corresponding multiple of the chained Effelztivspa.nnung supplied by the power generator can be taken as direct voltage. For this purpose, the rectifier is connected to capacitors that are connected in series and that are charged in one direction one after the other in a cyclical sequence with the help of the contacts that convey the DC voltage.
A multiplication of voltages by capacitors is already known, for example for single-phase alternating current in the form of the so-called Delon circuit. In the invention, a similar Prin zip for Mehrphasenetrom, in particular three-phase current in the type described in more detail below, is applied to a mechanically driven high-voltage rectifier.
In the mechanical high-voltage rectifier for multi-phase, in particular three-phase, current according to German Patent No. 406663 , the two circumferential segments bi and b2 according to Fig. 1 carry the increasing DC voltage. Each of these contacts is permanently connected to one and the same terminal, for example bi with the positive and b2 with the negative.
The stationary poles ei, e2 and es are connected to the multiphase high voltage. If one now brings one of three capacitors connected in series with one of the three poles ei, c2 and es in connection, namely @so, .that the positive coating of the first capacitor just .then with it the segment bi is connected when this is opposite the pole ei , likewise .the negative coating of this capacitor is connected to the segment bz at this moment, while the other two capacitors have no connection with the surrounding segments ,
so at this point in time the first capacitor is charged. The same thing happens one after the other for the other two capacitors. In this way, it is possible to continuously charge three capacitors connected in series in a cyclical sequence, so that three times the maximum value of the linked effective voltage supplied by the power generator (transformer) must be taken as DC voltage at the terminals of this capacitor series.
Fig. 2 shows the circuit of a Ausfüh approximately example of the invention. Here again ei, c2 and ca are the poles of the three-phase transformer and bi and b2 are circumferential contact elements, each consisting of two electrically interconnected contacts.
The three capacitors ki, k2, ka are connected in series, and the line connecting k 2 and Ici is also connected to the fixed contact di, as is the line connecting k2 and k3 to the fixed contact d2.
In contrast, the ends gi and g2 of the capacitor row are each connected to a fixed pole ei and e2, of which e2 is expediently grounded.
These poles ei and e2 are shown schematically next to each other in Fig. 2, in reality the arrangement is such that @ bi only comes to ei when it rotates and b2 only comes to e2, where ei and e2 are spatially separated from each other (their. Voltage difference according to) are separated.
This can be achieved, for example, in that bi and b2 are each arranged in a parallel plane with the same axis of rotation, the poles ei, 0z, c3 and di, d2 being provided for each plane, while the pole ei is only for one and the other Pole e2 is only intended for the other level of the surrounding contacts (see Fig. 3). For example, when bi and b2 circulate, bi always remains positive, b2 always negative.
The capacitor ki is therefore charged positively on its left assignment and negatively charged on its right assignment. The two capacitors k 2 and ks are insulated from the poles ei, c2 and es on at least one of their assignments. It is easy to see that with synchronous clockwise rotation, the capacitors 1c2 and k3 are also charged under the same conditions as just shown for ki, each time the left assignments are positive and the right ones are negative.
Three times the voltage can therefore be removed between the poles ei and e2.
Bi and b2 can also be designed as needles in a manner known per se, with a corresponding geometric expansion of the stationary contacts, which benefits the lighter design of the rectifier.
The two rotating contact elements can be arranged on both sides of the .Synchronous motor ill drawn in Fig. 3 and 4 in a manner known from mechanical rectifiers; the poles ei, e2 and it can be arranged by means of bushing insulators .I on a ring K attached to the motor between the two segment or needle planes. The acceptance poles ei and e2 are attached to the same wreath K with the help of opposing supporting insulators Si, &.
In order to avoid that the poles ei, c2, c3 of the power generator, which usually have to be isolated from earth (housing and primary winding of the transformer), are several times the potential value. Earth and an appropriate insulation for this high voltage must be selected, the power consumer according to Fig. 5 can be connected between one end of the capacitor bank and one of the two surrounding contacts.
The arrangement is easiest if this circumferential contact (needle or the like) is earthed. In this way, one of the two poles fi, f 2 connected to the electricity consumer is always earthed, and therefore no potential can arise at the other pole that is higher than the simple voltage of the electricity generator compared to the earth potential .
As Fig. 5 shows, this arrangement no longer results in a constant voltage between the poles f i and f2, but a stepped increasing voltage curve, the maximum value of which is the more respectively corresponds to three times the voltage.
In the position shown, fi is on g2, f2 on g1. So there is three times the voltage between f i and f 2 , @ since ki, k2 and k3 are charged by the preceding process. In the next position (see arrow direction) fi is again at g2, but f2 is between k2 and k3, so that only the simple voltage coming to capacitor k3 is between fi and f2.
In the third position, fi is again at y2, f2 but between ki and k2, so that the two capacitors 1c2 and k3 come into effect and double the voltage lies between fi and f2. The tension is thus increased cyclically, namely from the single to the double, to the triple, to the single, to the double, to the triple, etc.
