Dasselbe be sitzt ein mit einem schmiegsamen Befesti gungsband versehenes und auf den U-förmi- gen Teil der Umfangsfläche des Absatzes aufklemmbares Metallband, welches Greif organe besitzt, welche unter die Sohle des Absatzes zu liegen kommen. Das schmieg same Befestigungsband kann ein Gummiband sein, welches an den beiden Enden des Me tallbandes so befestigt ist, dass es über die vordere Stirnfläche des Absatzes greifen kann.
Das Gummiband kann aber auch so an den beiden Enden des Metallbandes befestigt sein, dass es über den Rist des Schuhes greifen kann.
In der Zeichnung ist der Gegenstand der Erfindung in zwei Beispielen dargestellt, und zwar in den Fig.1 und 3 in Seitenansichten, und in den Fig. 2 und 4 in Unteransichten. Bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 1 und 2 ist 1 ein dem U-förmigen Teil der Umfangsfläche eines Absatzes entsprechend gebogenes Metallband. Teile 3 desselben sind rechtwinklig abgebogen und zu stollenartigen Greiforganen ausgebildet. Die beiden U-Schen- kel des Metallbandes 1 federn etwas gegen einander. Sie haben eine Länge, dass sie etwa zwei Drittel der Absatzlänge umgreifen kön nen.
An den Enden des Metallbandes 1 sind rechtwinklig zu der Ober- bezw. Unterkante des Metallbandes Schlitze 4 angeordnet, durch welche als biegsames Befestigungsmittel ein Gummiband 2 greift.
Das Metallband 1 wird von hinten so auf den Absatz 7 des Schuhes 6 geschoben, dass die Greiforgane 3 unter die Sohle des Absatzes 7 zu liegen kommen, wobei sich das Metallband 1 am Absatz federnd fest klemmt. Das Gummiband 2 wird dann über die vordere flache Fläche des Absatzes 7 gezogen. Bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel nach Fig. 3 und 4 sind die Schlitze 4 schiefwinklig zu der Ober- bezw. Unterkante des Metall bundes 1 angeordnet, und ist durch sie als schmiegsames Befestigungsband ein längeres Gummiband 5 gezogen, welches über den Rist des Schuhes 6 greift.
Diese Greifeisen sind insbesondere für solche Personen wie zum Beispiel Polizei-, Post-, Eisenbahnbeamte und ,Arbeiter be stimmt, welche im Winter morgens im Dun keln ihre Arbeitsstelle aufsuchen müssen. Sie werden so nicht durch Glatteis verhin dert, rechtzeitig an derselben zu erscheinen. Infolge ihrer Bauart sind- diese Greifeisen einfach, leicht, können paarweise ineinander gesteckt in einem Behälter in der Tasche nachgetragen werden und sind billig herzu stellen. An Stelle des Gummibandes kann auch ein Schnallenriemen oder Gurt treten.
