Ausschaltvorrichtung an Brennstoffeinspritzpumpen Fon Verbrennungskraftmaschinen.
Shut-off device on fuel injection pumps for internal combustion engines. The invention relates to a device on multi-cylinder fuel injection pumps of internal combustion engines, in which the injection pressure is generated by a liquid spring formed by the fuel itself, which enables some of the cylinders of the fuel pump to be switched off. Such devices are used in fuel injection pumps for internal combustion engines of vehicles with vacuum brakes.
If the fuel supply to individual working cylinders of the machine is interrupted in such vehicles and at the same time the intake pipes of these cylinders are connected to the vacuum cylinder of the vacuum brake, a vacuum is then generated by these cylinders of the internal combustion engine.
According to the present invention, the interruption of the fuel supply is achieved in that, by means of a switch-off device, closing organs of the liquid springs of the fuel pump cylinder to be switched off are opened and kept open. In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is Darge provides.
Fig.1 shows a longitudinal section through the upper part of a 4-cylinder fuel pump.
Fig. 2 is a cross-section on line a-b of Fig. 1; 3 is a cross section along line c-d of FIG. 1.
In the figures, ei, e2, es, e4 mean the spaces of the liquid springs of the injection pump. f is the housing of the injection pump. The shutoff valves gi, g2, g3, 94 of the fluid spring chambers are kept closed by the springs hi, h2, h3, h4. A shaft i rotatable by means of the lever k and on which cams are provided is arranged above these shut-off valves gi, g2, g3, g4.
The cams are formed from a ring 1, the inner diameter of which is greater than the diameter of the shaft i. This ring l is placed over the shaft i and is pressed against the shaft by the ball m; the ball itself lies on the one hand against the inner surface of this ring ges l and on the other hand is under the pressure of a spring n, which is located in a hole in the camshaft i perpendicular to the camshaft axis.
When the shaft i rotates, these cams open all the shut-off valves g1 g? gs g4, then two of them, then the other two and in a fourth position of the shaft i all shut-off valves remain closed.
During the compression stroke of the injection pump, the bypass piston is pressed into the fluid spring space and generates the injection pressure in this space, which is so high that valves gi, y2, g3, g4 are not opened without lever transmission can.
If a cam hits the valve when the shaft i is rotating, while its fluid spring chamber is currently under the high injection pressure, the ring l compresses the spring n and the valve remains closed until the pressure in the fluid spring chamber has dropped again; then the valve g1 is opened under the influence of the spring n.
