A cable insertion device located on a cable inserted through a wall, in particular on an ignition lever. The invention relates to a cable entry device located on a cable inserted through a wall, in which the cable is held in place by means of a union nut pushed onto the cable. The invention consists in that at the end of the cable there is an insulating sleeve to which the cable is attached and which is held in place by the union nut.
The purpose is to be able to connect and disconnect the cable without losing the parts for securing the cable, for example the union nut or sealing rings and the like.
In the drawing, two execution examples of the subject invention are shown in section. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a is the wall of a blasting machine, for example. A metal bushing b is screwed into this wall and has a conical seat on the inside at the end c seated in the wall and a thread d on the outside at the other end. In the sleeve b sits a sleeve e made of insulating material, which protrudes over the end c of the sleeve. The bore of the sleeve is lined from the end protruding beyond the sleeve with a metal sleeve f, the bore of which is just wide enough for the bare core g of a cable h to be pulled through.
The ends of the individual wires of the cable core protrude slightly beyond the sleeve e and are folded over so that they rest against the face of the sleeve f. They are firmly pressed against the bushing f by a cap i which is screwed onto the end of the sleeve e. The end of the sleeve e lying in the sleeve b is countersunk conically. A soft rubber ring k with conical ends and a union nut in is pushed onto the cable. The nut can be screwed onto the sleeve b and presses the rubber ring against the sleeve e and the sleeve against the conical seat of the sleeve b.
When the cable is plugged in, the cap i presses against a spring n which is fastened to the wall a closed together with a connection eyelet 0 and is insulated. The rubber ring is used to seal the entry point of the cable against ingress of water.
In the second embodiment according to FIG. 2, the rubber sealing ring is missing. For this purpose, the sleeve e is preferred over the end of the sleeve b so that the union nut can be placed directly on the sleeve e. The insulating sleeve e could also be attached to the cable in that the cable core is soldered to the metal sleeve f.
