Die winkelförmig gebogenen Schaltröhren 25, 26 weisen je eine mittlere Elektrode 33 bezw. 34 und an jedem Ende zwei Elektro den 35, 36 und 37, 38 bezw. 39, 40 und 41, 42 auf. Wie Fig. 4 erkennen läf.;
Device for automatic periodic switching of electric drive motors. For automatic periodic switching of electric drive motors, e.g. B. those of washing machines, vibrating drums, machine tools, signaling devices, Fern- steuei'apparaten, etc., devices are known that work with the blaschine or device so that they mechanically a switch located on the same for changing the direction of rotation of the drive motor actuate. The present device can be mechanically inde pendent of the machine and only electrically connected to the drive motor.
According to the invention, this device has two shafts that are functionally connected to each other by cams, one of which is driven by an auxiliary motor and, by means of further control cams, actuates the switching elements of electromagnets, which cause the other shaft, which is provided with the switching cartacts, to alternate in one or the other swivel position is adjusted.
The accompanying drawing relates to an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 is a longitudinal view of the switching device, FIG. 2 is a plan view, and FIG. 3 is a side view of the same, FIG. 4 shows a detail in cross section; 5-7 show schematically the elec trical circuit of the device and its installation in the circuit of various drive motors.
The device shown in Figs. 1-3 Before direction has a base plate 1, on the underside of which a small electric motor, for. B. a Ferrari motor or a synchronous motor is installed in a housing 2. This motor drives a shaft 3 via a change gearbox, which has a constant number of revolutions. On this shaft 3 sit adjustable two control cams 4, 5. The control cam 4 works with two spring arms 6, 7, each with a contact spring pair $, 9 and respectively. 10, 11 are attached to a bracket 12 attached to the base plate 1. Below and opposite the bracket 12, the spring arms 6, 7 and the contact springs 8-11 are separated by intermediate layers 13, 14, 15, 16 insulating.
The springs 6, 7 carry insulating bodies 17, 18, which respectively on the springs 9. 11 are present.
The control cam 5 works together with two cams 19, 20 of the shaft 21. This shaft rests in bearings 22, 23 and carries a balance beam 24 and two mercury switching tubes 25, 26. The plunger cores 27, 28 of two electric magnets 29, 30 hang on the balance beam 24. At the front end of the plate 1 is a terminal strip 31 with connection terminals 32 attached.
The angularly bent interrupter tubes 25, 26 each have a central electrode 33 respectively. 34 and at each end two electrons 35, 36 and 37, 38 respectively. 39, 40 and 41, 42 on. As can be seen in FIG. 4;
t. the two electrodes at the ends of the tubes are separated from each other by a partition T in such a way that after switching (tilting) the tubes, the mercury drops that remain cannot establish a conductive connection between the two electrodes The electrodes, the small motor and the springs of the Contact spring pairs 8, 9 respectively. 10, 11 and the magnet windings 29 and 30 are permanently connected to the terminals 32. Depending on the type of current and the type of motor to be controlled, the lines coming from the supply network and from the motor are connected to corresponding terminals on the clamping plate 31.
The operation of the device is described below with reference to the circuit Fig. 5 for a three-phase motor MI to be controlled.
When the small motor 43 is switched on by means of the manual switch 44, it begins to rotate and also sets the shaft 3 in slow rotation. The performance of the synchronous motor does not need to be greater than about 20 watts, which gives the advantage of using a small switch. The rest position of the beam 24 is always the same horizontal position. After a partial rotation of the shaft 3, the control cam 4 closes the contacts between the contact springs 8, 9, so that the magnet 30 receives current and attracts its armature 28. This attraction causes an adjustment of the ball 24 and thus a tilting of the interrupter to the left.
In this position, all three phases of the three-phase power supply are connected to the motor, so that the motor begins to rotate in a certain direction of rotation. In the meantime, the shaft 3 has continued to rotate and the contact between the springs 8, 9 has been interrupted again. The control cam 5 now reaches the control cam 20 on the shaft 21 and brings the same back into the central position, thereby switching off the engine. As soon as the cam 4 brings the contact springs 10, 11 into contact, the electric magnet 29 is excited and the tubes tilt to the right.
In this position, the connection of two phases of the network to the first circuit on the motor 1V11 is swapped, whereupon the latter runs in the opposite direction. After some time, due to the rotation of the shaft 3 of the cam 4 slipped from the contact springs 10, 11, the electric magnet 29 is de-energized and the shaft 21 is cams 5, 19 returned to its original position by the cooperation of the control. The arrangement of the control cams ensures that the motor can coast down each time between the change in direction of rotation.
In order to prevent hitting the shaft 21 and tilting the same over the central position, the same can, for. B. be braked by means of a spring resting against it. To dampen the beating of the cores penetrating the coils there is a layer of felt F. In single-phase asynchronous motors with main and auxiliary phases 45 respectively. 46 the change in direction of rotation is achieved by reversing the polarity of the auxiliary phase 46.
According to FIG. 6, the connection of the main and auxiliary phases to the feed network is effected via the switching tubes 25, 26. The tubes are tilted in the above-mentioned manner after the manual switch 47 has been inserted. In order to interrupt the auxiliary phase 46 of the motor A711 after it has started, it is guided via the contact springs 8, 9 and 10, 11 . In this way it is also possible to switch on the auxiliary phase before the main phase.
This series connection of Kippröhreir with the contacts between the springs B. 9 and 10, 11 is not necessary as soon as the motor to be controlled has an automatic interrupter for the auxiliary phase 46. The corresponding circuit is shown in Fig. 7 represents. The automatic interrupter 48 built into the motor 1611II interrupts the current of the auxiliary phase 46 as soon as the rotor of the motor has reached a certain speed.
Otherwise, the mode of operation of the device is exactly the same in this case as in the case of the three-phase motor. Instead of interchanging two phases, the polarity of the auxiliary winding is reversed by the mercury tubes and switched on with the main phase when the tubes are tilted. Switching off takes place again through the cooperation of the control cam 5 with the control cams 19 and 20.
The device can be housed in a lockable housing. A signaling device can be provided to check that the tilting tubes are in the central position when the supply current is interrupted. It advantageously consists of a glow lamp that lights up as long as the device is energized.
