Steering device for sleds. The present invention relates to a steering device for sleds which can be attached to any normal sled.
The steering device according to the invention has two control runners, each provided with a specific plate to place a foot on, which are rotatably mounted on a horizontal axis transverse to the direction of travel, and rotatable and easily from a strut bar of the runners of a slide on a wag right strut detachable from the closing guide plate; in front of which a fork is rotatably mounted about an axis perpendicular to it, in which the axis carrying the control runners is rotatably mounted by means of a bearing piece about an axis perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the fork. This steering device offers the advantage that the control runners can be loaded to a greater or lesser extent depending on the requirements.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the steering device according to the invention is shown. Fig. 1 is a side view of the steering device, and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same.
A guide plate 1, which is narrow at the front and increases in width towards the rear, has two bearings 3 on its rear side, provided with a section 2 in the middle. In two formed in the plate 1, run in the width direction of the slots 4 are by means of locking screws b with wing nuts b 'two serving as side stops. Bearing jaws 6 adjustable in width on the bearing jaws 3 attached. By means of these jaws 3, 6, the guide plate 1 is hinge-like connected to the strut rod 7 of the slide runners present on the front of each usual union slide (Davoser slide).
In the narrow front part of the guide plate 1, a bearing fork 8 is rotatably mounted on the underside by means of a pivot 9 about an axis perpendicular to the plate 1 and secured against falling out by a nut 10. In the fork 8, a bearing piece 11 is rotatably mounted about an axis perpendicular to the fork axis of rotation by means of the journal 12. In the bearing piece 1.1 an axis of rotation 12 perpendicular to the axis of rotation 13 is attached, at the ends of which a respective control runner 14 is rotatably arranged. The control runners 14 are provided with plates 15 for placing a certain foot, on which toe straps 16 are attached. The footplates are arranged in a forward sloping position.
The control runners 14 are rotatably mounted on the axis 13 by means of bearings 1.4 ', and can be pivoted together with the axis 13 about the axis 12 of the bearing piece and can be pivoted together with the fork S about its axis 9. Furthermore, the pair of control runners 14 with its guide plate 1 can be pivoted up and down around the strut rod 7 of the slide. This all-round rotatability and pivotability enables the control runners to be adapted to the floor surface, so that they always rest on the roadway with even pressure regardless of their surface formation.
To attach the steering device described on the carriage, the bearings are jaw 3, ö by loosening the wing nuts 5 'opened and placed around the strut 7. The bearing jaws 6 are pushed outward so far that they rest against the runners. By tightening the nuts 5 ', the bearing jaws 3, 6 are locked in the closed position and the steering device is ready to drive. The handlebar takes a seat on the slide and places his feet on the footplates 15 of the control runners 14. The toe strap 16 placed around the shoe caps prevents the feet from sliding off the footplates during steering.
Depending on the driving speed and procurement. That is, the curve of a roadway, the driver can control the skids 14 more or less with his feet. load so that failure of the steering device is excluded. In the case of sledges on which a bracing rod 7 is not present at the front ends of the slide runners, such a bracing rod must of course first be attached in order to attach the steering device. When not in use, the steering device can be removed at any time without the use of auxiliary tools.
