Dental aid. The subject of the present invention is a dental aid which facilitates the treatment of carious or fractured roots. According to the invention, the dental aid consists of one. As a .root pin serving tube made of non-corrosive material, which is intended to form the continuation of a root canal when inserted. The outer and inner walls of the tube can be smooth, or one or both of them can be threaded.
An embodiment of the subject invention is provided in two applications in Figs. 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings represents.
Fig. 1 shows a molar 1 with inserted into its root canal 2, provided with an external thread tube d, the bore of the sen forms the continuation of the root canal to the occlusal surface. During dental treatment, the lower end of the tube is screwed into the root canal 2 and then the abutment 4 is produced. The tube prevents any foreign substance, such as saliva, etc. from entering the root canal 2 during the build-up. The other root canals, such as the canal 5 that are open, are temporarily closed by pins 6.
Since the inserted tube ss first goes through to the chewing surface, the dentist has the opportunity to have the access to the root canals open through the artificial structure of the tooth root or the crown part and to have the latter open without the risk of reinfection through saliva Kind of sterilize and fill.
Once the root canal treatment has been carried out and the root filling has been placed, the closure can be applied to protect the root filling against the chewing pressure with amalgam or cement by placing a Recess with conically undercut surfaces is provided, into which the sealing compound is then introduced.
After removing the sealing compound, the root filling can be easily checked by using the tube if, for example, root irritation should occur.
In Fig. 2, the application of such a tube 3 is provided with a cutting tooth 7 is.
The tube can also serve as a pin for attaching Richmond crowns and can also be internally threaded. The tubes are also of great advantage for so-called jacket crowns, such as those used as a porcelain coating on dead teeth, as they give these teeth the necessary strength and prevent fractures along the course of the dentinal tubules.
The tube can be made of any non-corrosive material such as a noble metal, stainless steel, etc.
