Description

Fig. 1 beiliegender Zeichnung zeigt im Schnitt eia Beispiel hierfür.

Electric machine with slot insulation support. When winding the grooves of electrical machines, the protruding part of the slot insulation shell over the laminated core is mostly exposed to bending stresses in both tangential and radial directions. These stresses result in damage at the point where the slot insulation emerges from the laminated core. The resulting cracks and deformations. weaken the insulation and often lead to electrical breakdown.

In order to reduce the bending stress on the insulation sheath during winding, one is forced to choose the protruding part of the same as short as possible in order to keep the bending moment of the slot insulation when winding (inserting the coils) stressing force small by reducing the attack lever. While this results in sufficiently long creepage distances over the protruding groove insulation to the laminated core in low-voltage machines, the distances at higher voltages are insufficient to prevent flashovers. To remedy this inconvenience, it is known to be runners grooved insulating washers 1, which rest directly on the laminated core 2, to use the. Fig. 1 of the accompanying drawing shows an example of this in section.

By choosing the thickness of these disks accordingly, it is possible to attach a slot insulation sleeve 3 which protrudes beyond the active iron and which withstands the stresses of winding. However, this design has the disadvantage that it almost completely makes it impossible to cool the laminated core on the end faces and partially eliminates one of the winding elements protruding over the iron, which can act similar to the circumference of the fan blade.

It is now possible to prevent damaging bending stress even where the protruding insulation sleeve end has to be long, and still achieve effective cooling of the end faces of the laminated core and of the winding elements protruding from the slots if, according to the invention, the slot insulation is achieved by Grooved insulating body, for example washers or rings, is supported in such a way that the cooling of the machine is not hindered by spacing these insulating bodies from the laminated core.

The invention is applicable to both stator and rotor windings, as can be seen from an embodiment example of the subject invention in section showing FIG. The cooling air paths are indicated there by dashed lines.
