Device for the production of electric oscillating eyes which correspond to musical tones. The present invention allows, inter alia, to create a musical instrument zii, which has a pale strength and tone color in the various tones, with low manufacturing costs, low weight and small space requirements.
The object of the invention is a device that consists of a series of oscillating bodies that are tuned to acoustic frequencies, that is, mechanically oscillating structures.
such as strings, springs or the like, in the vicinity of which in the following referred to as electrodes, electrically conductive bodies are attached, which form capacitors of fluctuating capacitance with the oscillating bodies,
namely, in the present I # 'inrichtunb the electrical relationships of the overall hit of the oscillating body to the electrodes are chosen to be uneven. For example, the shape and size of the electrodes of a device or their distance from the oscillating bodies or from various

In addition to the secondary side of the transformer, the potentiometer 9 is switched on. The llew egliclie contact 10 of the same is connected to an actuating pedal 13. so that when the pedal is pressed down, the voltage amplitudes between contacts 5 and 6, which can be connected to an amplifier, are reduced.
As is apparent from Fig. 3, for example, the electrode 2b extends over a different percentage length of the different strings. This allows the overtones to be emphasized in strings that are relatively low in overtones or are attenuated in strings with high overtones. In FIG. 3, the electrode 2b extends over 29% of the length of the shortest strings, but only 2.4, δ of the longest strings.
In Fig. D it is indicated how the distance between the string and the electrode can be different for the same string. The distance is small and large at the top. This allows you to set the relative strength when the various electrode sections are switched on, or the relative strength for a certain overtone or overtones in relation to the fundamental. From Fig. 5 it can be seen how the stand between strings and electrode can be different for different strings.
The electrode loves the shortest and longest strings more closely than the middle one. In this way, the strength of the extracted voltages can be adapted to the vibration capacity of the strings concerned and, in addition, a correction of the frequency characteristics of the amplifier and the loudspeaker can be obtained.
The lektroclen are, as indicated in Fig. 4, by plates 2a and 2b, preferably made of non-conductive, mechanical vibration-damping material, whose trembling surfaces facing the strings, which are approximately flat, are covered with an electrically conductive material.
These made of sheet metal. Wire meshes, metal powder in binding agent or the like existing Bele-Uncen form the electrodes. This can avoid it. that the electrode has mechanical natural vibrations within the acoustic frequency band, respectively. dampen their properties so strongly. that it is aperiodic.
Regarding the embodiment described, it should be said that the transformer 8 must have a high primary inductance and a low winding capacitance so that the most possible tone strength is obtained. Furthermore, the instrument can of course be implemented with a single electrode and with a constant distance between the strings and the electrode.
The intensity regulation can then be achieved by different widths of the electrode in relation to the different strings, but at the same time this results in an adjustment of the timbres which may be undesirable.
If only the electrode? 1i is used, the result of the described embodiment of the @ 7orteil that the hammer <B> 1 :), </B> hits the string at a part .. over which the effective Electrode does not extend.
The scheme. in Fig. 6 shows an arrangement with an electrode 16. 17 on each side of the oscillating body 1. Of these, 17 has a higher and 16 a lower: # .. potential than the Scliwiilghörpei @ 1.
The lucid potential lower ... elii (#de are most useful; slightly large, which is achieved by connecting the impedance element 18 to the middle point of the current source <B> 2 </B> 1. and the electrodes; in (The final impression was the same.

<tb> Grid <SEP> of the <SEP> amplifier tube <SEP> 38 <SEP> is <SEP> shielded. The embodiment in Fig. 9 and 10 shows a cast iron frame 39, on wel chen a set of strings 40 is stretched. The frame is thus in electrical contact with the strings. At a short distance from the strings two electrode plates 41 respectively. 42 attached.
As indicated in FIG. 10, the electrode 41 consists of a metallic coating 43 on a thicker plate 44 made of insulating material. The frame 39 is expanded to form a plate 45, which completely covers the electrode and on which the Electrode is adjustable by means of the adjusting screws 46 and 47. The electrostatic shielding is thus achieved here by the set of strings 40, the frame 39 and the plate 45 together.
The attachment of the electrode to that part of the frame that shields it is of particular practical importance, since the distance between the string and the electrode can be precisely adjusted and maintained, regardless of temperature and humidity fluctuations.
In all embodiments, the impedance of the resistance element can be changed. by connecting a variable capacitor in parallel to it, by means of which the volume can be changed comfortably and continuously.
The invention is of course not limited to the embodiments described, but on the contrary can be applied in various ways. Different electrodes and different vibrating bodies can thus be divided into different potentials, if this is necessary to compensate for different vibrational capacities in different vibrating bodies. Furthermore, the electrodes can also consist of systems tuned to acoustic frequencies, whereby new and original sound effects can be achieved.
It can also be thought. -to attach the electrodes so that they are movable in relation to the -moving bodies, so that the timbre and the relative; Strength when using the instrument can vary.
It is also conceivable to attach the electrodes in front of the ends of the vibrating body, so that the length changes of a string are used to absorb the vibrations. can be.
