Furnace for the production of gas and coal with a device for supplying steam to the degassing rooms. When operating ovens for the production of gas and coke, it is customary to introduce steam into the degassing chambers during c-iiier more or less long duration of degassing in order to generate water gas on the glowing coke by generating the water vapor.
So far, the water vapor has always been supplied from below or above, be it in horizontal, inclined or vertical degassing rooms. In this way, it is difficult to match the steam supply to the respective operating requirements; in particular, considerable parts of the charge cannot be supplied with steam.
A further disadvantage of the previous devices for supplying steam is that it is difficult to direct the steam into the coked parts of the load in which only the, Um - LI t 'settlement can take place,
while penetration of the steam into the not yet coked inner parts of the coating 2D tD is unwelcome. The overheating of the Wasserdampfe.s, which is always advantageous, he always requires special devices in the previous CD facilities.
The invention now relates to a furnace for generating gas and coke with a device for steam supply into the degassing spaces, which is characterized in that it has steam outlet openings distributed over the heated side walls of the degassing spaces through which the steam enters the degassing rooms is introduced.
The whole thing can be designed in such a way that it is possible to bring the steam into all parts of the load, specifically to where it is needed, and that # the disadvantages listed above are avoided, so that it is possible to to introduce the steam in such a way that it always strikes coked parts of the charge in which the water-gas reaction can actually take place, since
yes, the parts of the items to be covered near the heated side walls can be converted into coke the fastest. It is expedient to provide steam supply lines C tD n, which are advantageously laid in intermediate walls which are located between the heating flues and which connect two side walls. In this way, effective superheating of the steam is achieved, the steam being able to be brought approximately to the temperature of the material being charged, so that no cooling occurs due to the introduction of the steam.
The intermediate walls between the heating flues can be made of hollow bricks, the cavities of which form the lines for the steam, or particularly refractory lines can be arranged in these cavities. The furnace can be provided with sloping, sloping or vertical degassing spaces; Furthermore, horizontal, inclined or vertical partitions with steam supply lines can be provided.
<B> en </B> Depending on the length of the partition walls used for the steam supply, each steam supply line can be connected to one or more steam outlet openings opening into the interior of the degassing space.
The outlet openings are expediently arranged obliquely in such a way that charging material cannot penetrate into the openings.
The steam outlet openings are expediently distributed over the side walls of the degassing spaces in relation to the gas discharge lines, so that the steam has to travel as long as possible through the charging unit in order to reach the gas discharge point reach,
respectively that .the steam touches all parts of the load if possible. As a result, good utilization and implementation of the water vapor is achieved. In order to be able to regulate the distribution of the steam within the degassing space as much as possible, each steam supply line is expediently provided with a control valve.
For the purpose of purging the degassing spaces, the steam supply lines can also be used to introduce a <B> purging </B> gas, whereby it is also particularly advantageous if
that the rinsing oil enters the skin at approximately the same temperature as the skin.
23 The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention of the type of a horizontal chamber furnace, namely FIG. 1 shows a vertical longitudinal section along the line AB in FIG <B>'</B><U>g.</U> <B> 2, </B> which represents a horizontal section along the line CD in FIG. <B> 1 </B>.
The degassing chambers <B> 1 </B> are delimited by the heated side walls 2, two of which are connected to one another by the vertical partition walls 4 located between the heating flues 3 are.
Vertical steam supply lines <B> 5 </B> are arranged within part of the partition walls 4, into which several outlet channels D 6 each open, which flow after the degassing chambers 1 </B> and through their steam outlet openings <B> 6 '</B> steam flows into the degassing chambers, these openings <B> 6' </B> partly at different heights are located.
The arrangement of the outlet channel 6 in the illustrated embodiment is such that in the case of the successive intermediate walls the outlet channels are directed alternately towards one chamber and towards the other.
At the branch points <B> 7 </B> of the steam supply lines <B> 5 </B> from the main line <B> 8 </B> there are no control valves shown, which allow precise regulation of the amount of steam with regard to time, Enable place and amount.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the number of steam outlet openings <B> 6 '</B> is decreasing from left to right and the lower ones are increasing in number in their holly position in order to, with regard to gas discharge, # s1-eitung <B> 9 </B> the most even possible distribution of steam over the entire load cross-section or uni <B>C> </B> CD it is possible to achieve long steam paths through the loading C, should be soaked through,
