<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr.<B>163280.</B> Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Küpenfarbstoifes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Küpenfarbstoff erhält, wenn man das 2-(p- Dimethylamino-)anil des 4.7-Dimetbyl-3-oxy- thionaphthens mit 2 .1-Naphththioindoxyl kondensiert.

stellt ein rötlichbraunes Pulver dar, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit blauer Farbe löst und Baumwolle aus rotorange gefärbter Küpe in schönen, gelbstichig rot braunen Tönen von sehr guter Chlor-, Wasch-, Beuch- und Lichtechtheit färbt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 310 Teile 2-(p-Dimethylamino-)ariil des 4. 7-Dimethyl-3-oxythionaphthens, das durch Einwirkung von p-Nitrosodimethylanilin auf 4.7-Dimethyl-3-oxythionaplithen erhalten wird und einen Schmelzpunkt von 208 zeigt, werden mit 200 Teilen 2 . 1-Naphththioindo- xyl in 5000 Teilen Alkohol bis zu beendeter Kondensation gekocht. Dann wird filtriert, mit Alkohol gewaschen und der Farbstoff getrocknet.
