Protective device on automobiles to prevent car theft. The present invention relates to a protective device on automobiles for the prevention of car theft, which is characterized in that a circuit breaker is built into the spark plug circuit, the latter controlling part of the optical and acoustic signaling devices in such a way that a single rotary movement of the circuit breaker by means of a key in the protective position, the direct connections between the controlled signaling devices and the actuating switches for the same are interrupted,
and the optical and acoustic signal devices are connected with wires that lead to a motor-driven contact roller, the contact pieces of which are connected to the winding of a switching magnet that is switched into the protective position in the spark plug circuit by the rotary movement of the protective switch and to which the, the electric motor driving the contact roller is also connected, the whole thing in such a way that when the circuit breaker is in the protective position,
In the event of unauthorized switching on of the spark plug circuit, the solenoid is energized and the electric motor driving the contact roller is driven and thereby the circuits of the optical and acoustic signaling devices are at least partially opened and closed with respect to each other, with the function of these signaling devices by actuating the associated Actuating switch cannot be influenced.
The subject matter of the invention is shown schematically in the accompanying drawing in an exemplary embodiment.
A circuit breaker is schematically illustrated by the line 1-1, which is installed between the dashboard 3 6, which has the switches 2 and 15-19, and the wires 3, 20-24 and 26. The whole is designed in such a way that ir. The one position, wel che in the following referred to as the normal position be, through the circuit breaker the wires 3 and 3 '; 20 and 20 '; 2,1 and 21 '; 2: 2 and 22 '; 23 and 2: 3 '; and 24 and 24 'are connected to one another, while in the other position of the circuit breaker, which is hereinafter referred to as protection position, the wires 26 and 26', 3s and 3 "; 20 and 20 '; 21 and 2-9; 22 and 30; 23 and 31; and 24 and 32 'are connected to one another.
From the wire 3 'in the spark plug circuit, a wire 4 leads over a switching magnet 5 and the wire 3 ″ to the wire 3 connected to the spark plug. When the switching magnet 5 is energized, the spring-acting armature 6 is attracted, the contact device .3, 3 are opened and the contact devices 7 and 34. When the magnet 5 is de-excited, the armature 6 returns to the rest position shown, in which the contact device 33 is closed and the contact devices 7 and 34 are open.
A wire 8 leads from the wire 3 ″ to the contact device 7, from which a wire 9 leads to a small electric motor 10. This actuates a contact roller 12 which carries contacts 14 by means of a gear 13. Furthermore, a wire 11 leads from the wire 9 to the contacts 14. Contact springs of the wires 28, 29, 30, 3l and 32 are on the contact roller 12, whereby the wires 20-21 of the optical and acoustic signals of the car according to the contact positions are alternately connected to the wire 11 when the The circuit breaker is in the protective position and the contact roller 12 rotates. The circuit breaker is actuated by means of an associated key.
The wires 3 ', 2,0'-24' leading over the dashboard are either directly connected to the corresponding wires 3, 20-24 via the circuit breaker, or the wires 20-2'4 are connected from the wire 3 ' Wire 4, magnet 5, wires 3 ″, 8, contact device 7, wires 9, 11, contacts 14, wires 28-32 supplied with current. Furthermore, the wire 4 is connected to a wire 25, which has a not shown Switch, which is connected to the contact device 35 so that it is closed when the contact device 35 is closed, is connected to the positive pole.
The towing safety contact device 35 is provided at any point in the car. The whole thing is designed in such a way that it is automatically closed when the car is moved. With the exception of the contact device 35, all organs of the protective device are installed in a box 27, from where the wires lead to the dashboard and to the optical and acoustic signals of the car.
The protective device described works as follows: By turning the circuit breaker with the associated key to the protective position, in order to protect the car from theft when leaving it, turn the connections between the wires 3 ', 20'-, 24 'and 3, 20 = 24 interrupted, so that the switches on the dashboard are disabled, with the exception of switch 2 and switch 16 for the parking lights (city and tail lights), which are in the following circuit:
Positive pole of battery 37, wire 38, switch 1! 6, wires 21 ', 29 ", contact device 33, wires 29', 29, 21, parking lights, ground which is connected by wire 39 to the negative pole of battery 37. To but the same are the wires 26 ', 3 ", 28', 2'9-32 connected to the associated wires 2, 6, 3, 20-24 so that the spark plugs and the contact device connected in parallel .35 in series with the winding of the electromagnet 5 are connected. All these switchovers take place simultaneously by turning the circuit breaker using the associated key.
An attempt is now made to set the car's explosion engine in motion in this protective position respectively. To close the spark plug circuit by actuating the switch 2, the electromagnet 5, which is in series with the spark plugs, is excited, where the contact device 33 opens and the contact devices 7 and 34 are closed, so that the electric motor 10 in Gear is set. The opening of the contact device 33 has the effect that any switched parking lights are immediately extinguished and their dashboard switch 16 is disabled. This means that the car's signaling devices are connected in series via contacts 14. the winding of the magnet 5.
The small electric motor 10 now rotates by means of the gear 13, the contact roller 12, which alternately closes the circuits of the various signals as a result of the associated con tacts 14, and are fed with electricity. This means that the optical and acoustic signals such as headlights, taillights, left and right indicators, horn etc. are actuated in relation to each other at separate intervals. The contact roller 12 is constructed, for example, in such a way that an actuation of signals lasting approximately 3 seconds is carried out by approximately one. 1 second of rest is interrupted, and that on the one hand the two direction indicators and on the other hand the headlights and taillights are switched on and off together.
By this senseless switching on and off of the signals, the unauthorized starting of the explosion engine and thus the car is immediately made impossible. If the spark plug is made visible. If the spark plug circuit is interrupted by actuating switch 2, the magnet de-energizes and the armature 6 returns to the rest position shown and the resulting interruption of the various circuits means that the car's signals (with the exception of any parking lights that are switched on) are switched off, and the electric motor 10 is also stopped.
At the same time, however, the connection 16-21 is also re-established by the contact device 33: Any parking lights that have been switched on are burning again and can be switched on and off as required by their dashboard switch 16.
If, however, an attempt should be made to continue with the car in spite of the inappropriate and continued activation of the signals, the towing safety contact device attached to any, but hidden place of the car is automatically closed. At this moment, the circuit: battery 37, not shown switch, wires 25, 4, "magnet 5, wires 3", 26 ', 26, Kontaktvorrich device 35, battery, the actuation of the protection device.
The towing safety contact device is always closed by the movement of the car. When the protective device is switched off, the specified circuit of the contact device 3'5 is interrupted by the protective switch. When the car is parked and the protective device is switched on, the connection of wire 2: 6 to ground is interrupted by the opened towing safety contact device 35. Since the contact device 35 is parallel to the spark plugs, they are short-circuited by closing the contact device 3, 5, so that no more ignition can take place despite the switch 2 being closed.
The towing safety contact device 3.5 also has the effect that when an attempt is made to tow a car with the protective device switched on without switching on the spark plug circuit, the above-mentioned circuit controlled by the contact device 35 is closed by the movement of the car energized and .the engine 10 is set in motion, in exactly the same way as by closing the ignition circuit, so that all signals work in the absurd manner described above.
