Description
Process for the production of seamless blanks from plastic materials. The present invention relates to a method to produce seamless hollow bodies from plastic materials, such as acetyl cellulose, by applying a solution to a shaped body, drying the solution adhering to the shaped body and removing the skin from the shaped body resulting from evaporation of the solution.
So far, such hollow bodies have been produced on rrichr or less rigid forms. Such processes have the disadvantage that only certain simple shapes can be produced. The greatest deficiency of these processes is the difficulty of removing the hollow body formed from the molded body when a hollow body with a narrow neck and a small opening is to be produced.
These disadvantages should be remedied by the procedural Ren according to the present invention in that a flexible shell to form the molded body is filled with a substance that is drained from the shell after the formation of the hollow body, before the latter slackens and separated from the hollow body in a slack state becomes.
As a result, you can now not only produce the previously representable hollow bodies, but also those with a narrow neck or. with constrictions.
A solution, for example acet3ll cellulose solution, can be applied to the molded body by dipping it in the solution or by pouring or spraying it with the solution.
The shaped body consists of a flexible, fillable shell and a filler, namely the shell is filled with liquid, for example, or inflated with a gas to apply the solution. After the solidification of the skin formed on the Formkör by evaporation of the solvent, the filler can be drained from the flexible casing, whereupon the latter becomes limp and in this state can be removed from the hollow body without difficulty.
During the immersion and drying process, the buoyancy of the solution, the weight of the immersion material or occur as a result of shrinkage of the material, deformation or overturning of the shaped body, which can be avoided by an auxiliary frame that can be inserted and executed in the shell, for example in the form of a collapsible framework. This auxiliary frame, which is only used in certain cases, does not form part of the molded body, but only serves to secure the shape of the molded body during the manufacture of the hollow body.
The method described offers the advantage that seamless, even narrow-necked hollow bodies can be produced easily and easily.
