Dadurch :
dehnt sich das Wärmespreu zo aus und hebt ,den Venti'1- kegel v rasch :soweit von seinem Sitz ab, dass ein genügender Durchgangsquerschnitt für das Zündgas frei wird und dieses ;
Device for gas appliances with a pilot flame for the main gas burner, to prevent the escape of non-ignited gas. The invention relates to a device for gas appliances with an ignition flame for the main gas burner; to prevent the escape of non-ignited gas.
Gas appliances are already known; in which the main valve is kept closed by the gas pressure in the ignition line, isolange the cock in the ignition line is closed. This device alone cannot prevent the leakage of unignited gas if the pilot flame goes out unnoticed for some reason and the pilot valve remains open.
The invention consists in that a valve which is thermostatically controlled by the ignition flame is arranged in an ignition line which forms the ventilation outlet on the control side of the main gas valve.
Devices are already known in which the extinguishing of the pilot flame causes a discharge valve to open; so that the pressure in the ignition line drops rapidly, which actuates a switchover valve that interrupts the connection between the ignition line and the burner and connects the ignition line with a control line that opens into the control chamber of the main valve, from where the gas is released escapes through a secondary outlet serving as a breathing opening.
The invention avoids the outflow of control gas in that the ignition valve just closes the outlet on the control side of the main valve.
An embodiment of the subject of the invention is illustrated in the drawing, namely: Fig. 1 .the overall arrangement of a gas-heated device on a smaller scale, Fig. 2 some items in section on a larger scale.
From a main valve B connected to a main gas line A (FIG. 1), a line C leads to a burner D of a hot water generator E. From the main valve B, however, a line F is also branched off to a valve G, which is only used for ignition. The housing a of the grass valve B (Fig. 2) is divided into two spaces c and d by a wall-b. Room c is connected to network A and line -C leads from room d to burner D of gas appliance E.
The two spaces c and -d are connected to one another by an opening -e. A valve disk f under the influence of a spring g seeks to close this opening b -. He is fastened to a bent skin h be - which - between Üäs housing a and a cover i of this - housing is clamped.
The cover i forms a space k h over the flexural skin, which is connected to space c through bores m, n, o and to valve G- through line f is:
A throttling nozzle r is located in the bore n. _ The valve G consists of a housing s with a stepped longitudinal bore t and a transverse bore u. The -bore t can be closed off by a valve cone v from the bore u. The valve cone v is with -the end of a arched-curved heat spread-zv-
(Bi-metal spring) ', the other end of which is fastened to .the housing s in such a way that one of the legs of the spreading is coated by a dam held in front of the hole.
_ The device works as follows: When the gas appliance is to be put into operation, hold a flame, for example a burning match, under Ida's heat spread in front of the hole c. Thereby :
the heat chaff expands and lifts the valve cone v rapidly: far enough from its seat that a sufficient passage cross-section for the ignition gas is free and this;
lit by the flame of the match. As gas flows out of the ignition line, the pressure in space k is reduced because of the throttle r, which means the in-:
The valve plate f hanging from the flexible skin is lifted off, so that space c is connected to space d via opening e. The gas appliance is connected to the power line without having to operate a hand tap.
If the pilot flame goes out for any reason or is too small, the weak heat spread iv that quickly gets cold pushes the valve cone v back onto its seat very quickly, because this only:
a little way too. - needs to make (fractions of a millimeter). Since there is no longer any gas flowing out of the ignition line F, the Qas pressure in space 1c above, the throttle r can equalize against the pressure in space c and the valve tellex f is simultaneously through the spring 9 pushed back on its seat.
The Brennerleitüng is complete and can only be opened again when the heat spread z. heated and with it. the ignition gas is also ignited.
