21 in Berührung kommt.
Method for regulating the frequency of alternating current generators. The invention relates to a method for regulating the frequency of alternating current generators in such a way that on the one hand the frequency is as constant as possible, and on the other hand the. Sums of the periods <B> at least </B> at least over a certain period of time are as equal as possible to a prescribed value. The last requirement is particularly important when synchronous clocks are connected to the power distribution network.
If one were to try to carry out the regulation alone by comparing the setpoint value of the period sum with the actual value of the period sum, it would result that under certain circumstances very large differences in the frequency could occur. This would be the case, for example, if a sudden heavy load on the network, during which the frequency falls below the normal value, is quickly relieved and the machines are able to move at a speed that is significantly higher than the normal speed run, because the controller would try to achieve a balance between the actual value and the setpoint of the period sum as quickly as possible.
In order to avoid such fluctuations in the number of periods as far as possible, according to the invention the frequency that the controller seeks to set is automatically influenced as a function of the period sum of the frequency to be controlled, which is at least over a certain period of time. in such a way that the period sum seeks to match a setpoint.
The controller can be influenced in a particularly expedient manner if a controller is used to keep the frequency constant, in which two rotating organs are present, one of which is dependent on the frequency actually prevailing, the other depending on the frequency is influenced by the setpoint of the frequency. Such regulators have already been proposed in the most varied of forms.
In order to additionally influence such a controller, which aims to keep the frequency as constant as possible, depending on the period sum, it is expedient to proceed in such a way that one of the rotating elements is given an additional speed as soon as the actual value is reached the period total deviates from the setpoint. The size of the additional speed can depend on the size of the deviation between the setpoint and the actual value of the period sum.
In Fig. 1, a Ausführungsbei is game of the invention, in which one of the rotating members an additional speed can be granted with the help of a differential gear, shown.
With 1 the one revolving member is characterized, which is driven via the magnetic coupling 2 of the synchronous motor 3 connected to the network. The speed of rotation of this element is therefore proportional to the prevailing network frequency. The member 1 is equipped with two opposing contacts 4 and 5, between which the other rotating member 6 can move. The link 6 is driven by the indexing mechanism 7.
When the wheel 9 of the differential gear 8 is fixed, the order speed of the member 6 corresponds exactly to the Coll frequency. If there are frequency deviations in the network, the element 6 comes into contact with the contacts 5 or 4 and thereby closes a circuit which acts on the controller. So that the control arrangement does not respond to minor frequency deviations and thereby constant control movements are triggered, the magnetic clutch 2 is periodically opened in a known manner.
The controller only responds when the briefly counted period sum, that is, the period sum in the time during which clutch 2 is closed, exceeds the setpoint corresponding to the normal frequency by a certain amount. The periodic decoupling ensures that the controller essentially responds to the mean value of the frequency within the time between two successive decouplings. Since the time intervals are, for example, of the order of a few seconds,
so this is practically equivalent to a regulation on the instantaneous value of the frequency. The device described so far thus compares the actual value of the frequency with the target value. In general, after the controller has been influenced by the link 6 coming into contact with the contacts 1 or 5, the magnetic coupling 2 is opened so that the link 1 is under the influence of the spring 10 in relation to the link 6 occupies its central position. How the control process actually takes place and how the engine is influenced,
is of no particular importance for the nature of the present invention.
In order to change the frequency that the controller seeks to set in the event of a deviation: the actual value of the continuously counted period sum from the setpoint, the gear wheel 9 of the differential gear is particularly driven. For this purpose, you can use a clockwork or other power source that is influenced, for example. if there is a difference between the target and the actual value of the continuously counted period total.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the gear wheel 8 is driven with the aid of the direct current meter 11. In order to set the armature .dieses direct current meter in the correct way in revolutions, there is provided comparison gear 12, which allows a control of the actual value of the period sum in comparison to the target value. The wheel 13 of the transmission is driven by the Syn chronmotor 14, which is connected to the Züi monitoring network. The total number of revolutions of this wheel is then proportional to the actual value of the period total. The gear 24 is driven in this way. that its sum of revolutions corresponds exactly to the nominal value of the period sum.
The drive for (las wheel 24 is therefore expediently controlled by a clock that runs as precisely as possible, which can be adjusted from time to time. The wheel 24 can of course also be driven directly by such a clock. If at any moment the actual value of the period sum, calculated from the start-up, matches your setpoint value, then the planet gear 15 is in its rest position and the contact arm 16 coupled to this wheel is on the idle contact 17. If there is a difference between the actual and setpoint value of the period sum, so the planet wheel moves and with it the contact arm 16 and comes with one of the contacts 18, 19 or 20, r 21 in contact.
As a result, the armature of the DC meter 11 receives power in one or another sense and sets the gear 9 in motion, which gives the arm 6 running around an additional speed. If the actual value of the period sum is smaller than the setpoint, the speed of rotation of the arm 6 is increased, so that the setpoint value of the frequency is somewhat falsified.
This falsification lasts until the actual value of the period sum matches the target value. Since these processes take place relatively slowly and the additional speed given to member 6 is limited, an impermissible change in frequency can be avoided.
In order to achieve a somewhat faster elimination of the difference in the case of larger deviations of the period sum from the setpoint, the size of the additional speed can be made dependent on the difference between the actual value and the setpoint of the period sum that in the case of large differences the additional speed is greater than with smaller differences between the actual and setpoint. In the exemplary embodiment described, the additional speed is made dependent in this way.
In the sem that the contacts 18 to 21 are arranged in the path of the arm 16. Resistor 22 is connected between contacts 18 and 20 and resistor 23 is connected between contact contacts 19 and 21. The circuit is now made in such a way that the counter only runs relatively slowly when the arm 16 and contact 18 respectively. 19 comes into contact, and that the additional speed is greater when this arm, however, with the contacts 20 respectively. 21 comes into contact.
In the same way you can also proceed if different types of drive devices are provided to generate the additional speed, for example by changing the translation of a gear and the like. It should be obvious that the additional speed can also be given to the revolving link 1. In this case, however, the influence must be reversed to that of the rotating link 6.
Another possible embodiment of the method according to the invention is that the position of a frequency pointer with respect to the control contacts that work together with this pointer is additionally influenced by the period sum. It is useful to periodically check the position of the counterpart, for example in such a way that the counterpart is returned to the zero position at certain time intervals and from this depending on the prevailing difference between the actual value and the setpoint the period sum moved out.
An embodiment of this kind is shown in FIG. A frequency pointer is denoted by 31, which is adjusted by a device which is known per se and is therefore not shown in the figure according to the actual value of the frequency. The frequency pointer 31 works with the designated 32 and as a contact track ausgebil Deten counterpart, which is rotatably mounted with the help of the shaft 33.
34 is a drop bracket which can be pressed against the pointer 31 with the help of the electromagnet 35, which is brought into contact with the contact path in this way. The con tact track 32 is finite the contacts 36, 37, 38 on the left half and the contacts 39, 310, 311 on the right side. Between the contacts 36 and 39 there is a space which is dimensioned such that the pointer 31 can rest at this point without coming into contact with one of the two contacts.
The resistors 312 are connected between the contacts 36, 37 and 38, as well as 39, 310 and 311. 313 is a motor for adjusting an organ acting on the frequency, for example for adjusting the steam valve 314. The motor 313 is equipped with two field windings 315 and 316, one of which is connected to the contact 38, the other is connected to contact 311. 317 is a battery whose one pole is connected to the pointer 31 and the other pole to the motor 313 a related party. If the pointer 31 comes into contact with one of the contacts 36 to 311, the motor begins to run, and its direction of rotation and its rotational speed depend on the position of the pointer in relation to the contact track 32.
The running time of the engine depends on how long the drop bracket 34 is pulled down. The hanger magnet 35 is fed from the power source 318, in .whose circuit is the, for example, driven by a clockwork contact disc 319, with the help of which the electromagnet 35 is alternately energized and de-energized.
So that the contact track 32 can be adjusted as a function of the difference between the target value and the actual value of the period sum, it is movably mounted with the help of the shaft 33. The springs 320 and 321 seek to keep the contact path in its zero position. 322 is a magnetic clutch, with the help of which the shaft 33 can be coupled to the adjusting device 323. The motors 324 and 3124 serve to rotate the shaft in one sense or the other and are connected to the lower part of the magnetic coupling 322 by a differential gear. The adjustment of the contact path is initiated by relays \ 325 and 326.
These relays are checked at certain time intervals, for example in 4 to 5 minutes. If there is a difference between the actual value and the nominal value of the period sum, which is determined, for example, by comparing an astronomical clock with a synchronous clock, the relay 325 or 326 is energized depending on whether there is a positive or negative time difference, namely, the excited relay remains attracted during one of the clock difference proportional to the time.
In the device shown in the figure, the relays 325 and 326 are controlled by the contact disc 327 and 328 ge. The contact disc 327 carries the contact segments 329, 330, of which the contact segment 329 is connected to the relay 326 and the contact segment 330 is connected to the relay 325. The free ends of the windings of these relays are connected to a battery #, the other pole of which is connected to the contact segment 331 of the contact disk 328 via a slip ring. 332 is a brush that rubs on the contact discs 327, 328.
The gap between the contacts 329, 330 is so large that the brush 332 cannot establish a conductive connection between the contact 331 and the contacts 329, 330 if the contact 331 is in the middle position between the two contacts 329, 330 is located. However, if the position of the contact 331 deviates from the central position, the circuit of the relay 325 or 326 is closed, depending on whether the contact 331 is leading or lagging. As is easy to see, the time of the current connection is dependent on the angular deviation between the panes 327, 328.
The disk 327 is driven, for example, by the astronomical clock 333, the disk 328 by the synchronous clock 334, in such a way that the disks rotate once in approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Of course, other devices for controlling relays 325 and 326 can be used. The contacts 335 and 336 of the relays 325 and 326 are in the circuit of the drop bracket magnet 35. The contacts 337, 333 of these relays are parallel to each other in the circuit of the delay relay 339, which is fed by the battery 3140. The contacts 340 and 341 of the relays 325, 326 are connected in series and are in the circuit of the magnetic coupling 322 and the battery 342.
The contact 343 of the delay relay 339 is connected between the supply lines to the contacts 340 and 341. The contact 344 of the delay relay 339 is. in a circuit through which the motors 324 and 3124 are supplied with current, namely the lead to the motor 3124 via the contact 345 of the relay 325 and the lead to the motor 324 via the contact 346 of the relay 326.
The device works in the following way: It is assumed that the synchronous clock 334 leads somewhat and therefore the Bontakte 330 and 331 are linked with one another at certain intervals. As a result, the relay 325 is energized and interrupts the contact 335 in the circuit of the drop arm magnet 35, so that the drop arm cannot be activated during the control period. The contact 337 is closed and thus the delay relay 339 is energized. The contact 340 is opened and thereby the circuit of the magnetic coupling 322 is interrupted. The contact track 32 then returns to the zero position under the influence of the springs 320 and 321.
Contact 345 is closed and prepares the circuit for drive motor 3124. The delay relay 339 attracts its armature after a certain time. As a result, the magnetic coupling 322 is switched on and thus the shaft 3 is coupled to the drive device 323. At the same time, contact 344 is also closed, so that there is now a connection between drive motor 3124 and the mains. The motor now rotates the contact track 32 in the sense of lowering the frequency. After a certain time has elapsed, which corresponds to the respective prevailing difference in the period sum, the armature of the relay 325 drops out, and the initial state is thus restored.
If relay 326 responds instead of relay 3 - 5, the process described is repeated in an analogous manner. The contact track is moved, however, in this case by the drive motor 324 in the sense of an increase in frequency.
To influence the position of the frequency pointer relative to the comparison element, instead of adjusting the counter element, an additional force can act on the frequency pointer, which rotates the fixed system of the device adjusting the frequency pointer in the same or a similar way as in the embodiment described be the contact path.
