Alternating current generator machine. The present invention relates to a self-exciting alternating current generator machine, in which the gendré current is rectified by a collector, with a view to supplying the coils creating the inductive field.
The machine according to the invention is characterized in that the winding of the armature protrusions comprises only one pole out of two coil, in order to reduce the peripheral bulk as much as possible, while having a sufficient number of poles. to obtain a certain frequency without having to drive the machine at an excessive speed.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the machine.
Fig. i. is a top view, schematic. FIG. 2 is a side view, in partial vertical section. Figs. 3, 4; 6 and 6 show vertically, in section and in side view, the parts constituting the collector of this generator.
Said generator comprises a coating a in which the winding is carried out on the pole protrusions a 'two by two. This makes it possible, as will be understood, to bring these polar projections together as closely as possible as much as those of the inductor and to increase their number, for a given diameter. It is thus possible to obtain a relatively high frequency without having to drive the inductor at an excessive speed.
The inductor has two groups of polar projections formed by re-curved teeth b ', b2 cut from soft iron flanges or discs which are fitted onto the motor shaft d, the central part of which constitutes the core of the closing inductor. the magnetic circuit. The teeth b ', b2 are beaten in the opposite direction and form the polar sail lies of the inductor. Between these two groups of teeth b1, b2 and the shaft d is placed an exciting coil ë.
Against one of the flasks on the side opposite to the neck of the tree is reported a collector. The latter is formed by a plate p having two groups of teeth p1, p2 each belonging to a distinct circuit suitably isolated, by bakelite for example. Said collector serves to rectify the alternating current generated by the fixed armature and to supply, by means of two brushes f and g, the excitation coil e in the rotating inductor.
Automatic adjustment of the voltage can be obtained by deriving across the leads, in order to then rectify it by means of the collector, a part of the operating current, the voltage of which is regulated by the resistance of the lamps or of the lamps. headlights in the lighting circuit.
The collector may preferably be constituted, as will be explained with reference to FIGS. 3; 4, 5 and 6, by a first toothed disc p and a second o carrying lateral projections pl, p 'counter-bent coming to be inserted into each other, the whole being immersed in a insulator, Baké lite for example, so as to form two very distinct circuits. In this way, the size of the machine is reduced in the axial direction.
The brushes f and g which bear on the drive neck are carried by a cover q in aluminum or any suitable metal which covers the carcass s in soft iron of the armature, which carcass comprises a housing for two ball bearings t, which serve to ensure that the shaft d carrying the armature is held in cantilever manner.
