Device for engaging and disengaging the clutch of graftfalirzeugen with a pneumatically operated servo motor for the vehicle clutch. The invention relates to a device for engaging and disengaging the clutch of motor vehicles with a pneumatically operated servomotor for the vehicle clutch. In the known Einrich lines of this type, the servomotor is controlled by a control element which, when opening and closing the throttle valve in the intake pipe of the motor, the input and / or. The clutch is disengaged via the servomotor.
According to the present invention, the mechanism which actuates the control member depending on the position of the throttle valve is designed so that the switching of the servomotor dominate the control member takes place when the throttle valve in the intake manifold of the engine or respectively. . is completely or almost completely closed again.
In the drawing, some Ausfüh approximately examples of the proposed invention are shown schematically; It shows: FIG. 1 a device in which the control element of the servo motor is actuated by the gas pedal, FIG. 2 an embodiment in which the control element is actuated by a special pedal which is arranged at the gas pedal.
Fig. 3 shows an implementation corresponding to Fig. 2 with a different arrangement of the special pedal, Fig. 4 shows a device corresponding to Fig. 1, in which an additional pedal is provided for switching off the servo motor, Fig. 5 shows a device in which the Control member is actuated by an electromagnet be whose switching device is arranged on the accelerator pedal, Fig. 6 shows a device in which switching devices are provided for both the accelerator pedal and the gearshift lever for the magnet actuating the control member.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the accelerator pedal 1 is connected via the linkage 2, 3, 4, 5 to the throttle valve 6 in the intake pipe 7, which leads to the carburetor 8. The throttle valve is bridged by the relatively narrow bypass 9 so that even with the throttle valve 6 closed, a small amount of fuel is fed to the engine (not shown) via the carburetor 8, which is dimensioned so that the engine can be started, but is not able to accelerate the associated car.
The fuel line 7 is immediately behind the throttle valve 6 via the elastic line 10 with the valve housing 11 in connection. In this housing two ball valves 12 and 13 serving as control elements are arranged, the seats 14 of which are fastened in the housing 11 made of rubber or other flexible material. The Ven valve 12 is attached to the cross arm 16 by means of the tension spring 15 and the spring 15 tends to keep the valves constantly in the position is provided. Both valves 12 and 13 are coupled to one another and therefore always follow either the force of the spring 15 or the movement of the cable 17 at the same time.
The cable 17 is attached to the pivotably mounted arm 18 which is pivoted upon actuation of the accelerator pedal 1 under Ver mediation of the spring 19 and the pierced ball 20 up to the stop 2.1.
As the drawing shows, the push rod 2 of the accelerator linkage is divided. Both pieces are guided in the sleeve 22, which can be firmly attached to one of the pieces. From the valve housing 11, between the valve seats 14, an elastic cal line 23 is branched off, which mün det in the working chamber 24 of the servo motor 25. The chamber 24 is separated from the chamber 2 9 6 by a winged piston 2: 7, which is provided with a leather sleeve 28 for better sealing.
The chamber 2; 6, like the right part of the valve chamber 11, has an open connection with the outside air. The vane piston 2'.7 is rotatable about the shaft 29, which carries a pulley 30 on the outside. The cable or chain hoist 31, which engages the clutch pedal 32, is attached to this disc. The clutch pedal and also the accelerator pedal 1 are held in the upright position shown by compression springs 33 and 3, 4.
The mode of operation of the device described is briefly as follows: When the engine is started, only a little fuel is fed to the cylinders through the narrow bypass 9, while the throttle valve @ 6 is closed. The negative pressure resulting from the intake of the engine is propagated through the line 10 into the valve housing 11 and from here through the line 2.3 into the chamber 24. As a result, the wing piston 27 is pivoted clockwise.
The pulley 30 takes part in this movement, so that the rope 31 is wound up and the clutch pedal is pulled down against the pressure of the spring 33. The clutch is now disengaged.
If the accelerator pedal 1 is now depressed. so the two pieces of the push rod 2 will soon touch and the linkage 3. -1 -, 5 will open the throttle valve 6. At the same time, the spring 19 takes the arm 18 along with the intermediary of the ball 20, which is displaceable on the push rod 2, so that the valve balls 12 :, 13 are moved to the right. When the valve 12 rests on its seat. the further movement of the arm 18 is interrupted by the stop 2.1, while the accelerator pedal 1 can, however, be pivoted further.
The device is made such that the valve 12 is closed and the valve 13 is opened at the same instant in which the throttle valve begins to open. The valve 13 thus releases the path to the chamber 24 for the outside air, so that the clutch pedal 32 is pressed upwards by the spring 33 and the clutch is engaged.
When the accelerator pedal 1 is released, the return spring 35 first closes the throttle valve 6 and then switches the double valve 12, 13, whereupon the negative pressure triggers the clutch again in the manner described.
In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the valves 12, 13 are actuated by a special pedal 36. The pedal 36 and the accelerator pedal 1 are pivotably arranged close to one another on a shaft 37 such that the head of the pedal 3.6 according to. a brief pivoting movement on the head of the .Pedals 1 and the further pivoting movement of both pedals -36 and 1 ge is carried out together. In order not to let the valves 12, 13 take part in the entire stroke of the pedal 36, a spring 38 is provided on the cable 17, which expands after the valves are switched and thereby takes up the further stroke of the pedal 36.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 corresponds essentially to the embodiment according to FIG. 2: it differs from the same only in the arrangement of the pedal 3'6. The latter is pivotally mounted on the accelerator pedal 1 according to Fig. 3, in such a way that it protrudes a certain distance over the accelerator pedal, so that before the throttle valve is influenced by the pedal 1, the Pedal 3.6 must have covered a certain stroke, which the Stroke of the valves 12, 13 corresponds.
The embodiment according to FIG. -4 ent- z; i) rectifies essentially that according to FIG. 1. Deviating from the embodiment according to FIG. 1, a further pedal 42 is arranged here, the lever arm 43 of which is connected to the stop plate 45 via the cable 44. The cable train 17, which engages the valves, is passed through an opening in the arm 18 and also attached to the stop plate 45.
The valve 12 can therefore be closed for the purpose of actuating the servo motor both when the accelerator pedal 1 is actuated and when the pedal 42 is actuated.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 5 and ss, the mechanical actuation of the valves 12, 13 is replaced by an electrical actuation Be.
As FIG. 5 shows, the winding 47 of the electromagnet 48 is connected via the line 49 behind the main switch 50 to the feed cable 51 of the battery 52, the negative pole of which is connected to ground at 53. From the winding 47, the line 5-1 leads via the switch 55 to the contact 56 which is attached to the accelerator pedal 1 and is applied in the position is provided on the fixed contact pole connected to ground.
In the example according to FIG. 6, the line 54 forks into two lines 65 and 58. The line 65 leads via the switch 66 and line 67 to the contact 56 connected to the accelerator pedal 1. The line 58 is connected to the contact 59, which is pivotably mounted on the head of the gearshift lever 39, specifically opposite the fixed contact 62 connected to the '11ass @.
The mode of operation of the devices according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is briefly as follows: In the position of the valves shown: the chamber 24 of the servo motor is connected to the atmosphere, so that the same pressure prevails in the chambers 24 and 26 and the clutch pedal 32 by his pen;:; is held in the coupling position.
If, on the other hand, the valve 13 is closed and the valve 1.2 is opened by the excitation of the magnet 48, the chamber 24 is under the effect of the motor vacuum transmitted through the line 1.0, so that the piston 27 swings out to the right, thereby pulling the cable or chain , 31 and pulls the clutch pedal 32 down into the disengaging position. The last-mentioned position of the valves is brought about by the electromagnet 1-S, namely by the movement of the armature 6.8 in the direction of the arrow 69 shown.
In Fig. 5, when the switches 50 and 55 are inserted, the current flowing through the solenoid -1-7 is short-circuited as long as the accelerator pedal 1 is not actuated. As a result, the clutch is disengaged when the machine is started. If the accelerator pedal is actuated, the contacts 5, 6 and 57 are disconnected, that is, the coil 47 is interrupted by flowing current, so that the clutch is engaged again. In order to avoid useless power consumption during longer idle times, the switch 5: 5 is provided, which also enables normal operation of the clutch and accelerator pedals at the same time.
In the example according to FIG. 6, the circuit of the coil 47 is closed by the contact 56,57 when the motor is idling. When the accelerator pedal 1 is pressed, the circuit is opened and the clutch is engaged. If the gear ratio of the transmission is changed with the aid of the lever 39, the driver forcibly presses the contact 59 against the contact 62, whereby the current circuit of the coil 47 is closed and the clutch is disengaged. This gives a high level of security because a Ge gear shift is completely impossible when the clutch is engaged.
In all examples, the control organ depending on the position of the throttle valve actuating mechanism is designed so that the switching of the Steuer.- oiganes takes place when the throttle valve is still BEZW. again completely or almost completely -; i is permanently closed.
