Description

  

  Instrument pour le traitement des gencives et des parties connexes.    L'objet de l'invention est un instrument  pour 1e traitement des gencives et des parties  connexes.  



  Il est caractérisé par le fait qu'il com  porte un manche, qui doit être tenu à la  main et portant au moins une cupule devant  être mise en contact avec la gencive, dis  posée pour recevoir un produit servant au  traitement médicamenteux de cette gencive  et des parties connexes, et faite en une ma  tière présentant de l'élasticité, le tout de  manière qu'en faisant aller et venir l'instru  ment par le manche on produise à la fois  un traitement mécanique et un traitement  médicamenteux de ladite gencive et des par  ties connexes.  



  Le dessin annexé représente, à titre  d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de l'instru  ment suivant l'invention.  



  Les     fig.    1 et 2 en sont deux vues, prises  à<B>900</B> l'une de l'autre; la première montre  certaines parties en coupe.  



  Le manche     w,    par exemple en     celluloid,     présente près de l'une de ses extrémités deux    boutons b, c venus de fabrication avec lui;  sur chacun des boutons b, c est enfilée une  cupule d, e ayant à peu près la forme d'une  cloche renversée, présentant à sa base une  ouverture f, par laquelle elle passe sur le  bouton, et .faite en une matière présentant  de l'élasticité, en caoutchouc par exemple.  



  On se sert par exemple comme suit de  cette forme d'exécution pour le traitement de  la pyorrhée alvéolaire:  On place dans chacune des cupules d, e  un produit contenant de     l'arséno-benzène,     puis on introduit     l'instrument    dans la bouche  de manière que l'ouverture de ces cupules  soit en contact avec la gencive; enfin on le  fait aller et venir sur celle-ci en déplaçait  le manche à la main de la façon voulue.

   On  réalise de la sorte le double traitement dé  siré: le traitement mécanique, parce que les  cupules, en allant et venant sur la gencive  tout en appuyant avec une certaine pression  sur elle, produisent un massage qui améliore  ou favorise la circulation du sang dans la  gencive et les parties connexes; le massage      obtenu est doux et intense à la fois, grâce  à l'élasticité des cupules, qui s'appliquent  bien sur la surface de la gencive, quelles que  soient les inégalités de celle-ci; le traitement  médicamenteux, dû à     l'arsério-benzène    du pro  duit     qui    est placé     dans    les cupules et qui  agit, lui aussi, sur la gencive et les parties  connexes.  



  L'instrument selon l'invention peut servir  au traitement des gencives et des parties  connexes dans d'autres cas que celui d'une  pyorrhée alvéolaire, par exemple dans le cas  d'une     gengivite;    le produit utilisé pour le  traitement médicamenteux varie suivant les  cas.  



  Le nombre des cupules peut différer de  deux.

  It is characterized by the fact that it comprises a handle, which must be held in the hand and carrying at least one cup which must be brought into contact with the gum, arranged to receive a product used for the medicinal treatment of this gum and related parts, and made of a material exhibiting elasticity, the whole in such a way that by moving the instrument back and forth through the handle one produces both a mechanical treatment and a medicinal treatment of said gum and related parts.



  The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the instrument according to the invention.



  Figs. 1 and 2 are two views, taken <B> 900 </B> apart; the first shows some parts in section.



  The handle w, for example made of celluloid, has near one of its ends two buttons b, c which have been produced with it; on each of the buttons b, c is threaded a cup d, e having approximately the shape of an inverted bell, having at its base an opening f, through which it passes over the button, and made of a material having elasticity, eg rubber.



  This embodiment is used, for example, as follows for the treatment of alveolar pyorrhea: A product containing arsenobenzene is placed in each of the wells, then the instrument is introduced into the mouth of so that the opening of these cups is in contact with the gum; finally we make it come and go on it by moving the handle by hand in the desired way.

   This achieves the desired double treatment: mechanical treatment, because the cups, going back and forth on the gum while pressing with a certain pressure on it, produce a massage which improves or promotes the circulation of blood in the gum. gingiva and related parts; the massage obtained is gentle and intense at the same time, thanks to the elasticity of the cups, which apply well to the surface of the gum, regardless of the unevenness of the latter; drug treatment, due to the arterio-benzene of the product which is placed in the cups and which also acts on the gum and related parts.



  The instrument according to the invention can be used for the treatment of the gums and related parts in cases other than that of alveolar pyorrhea, for example in the case of gingivitis; the product used for drug treatment varies from case to case.



  The number of wells may differ from two.

Claims

CLAIM Instrument for the treatment of genes and related parts; characterized by the fact that it comprises a handle which must be held in the hand and carrying at least one cup which must be brought into contact with the gum, arranged to receive a product used for the medicinal treatment of this gum and related parts, and made of a material exhibiting elasticity, the whole in such a way that by bringing the instrument back and forth through the handle one produces both Lu) mechanical treatment and drug treatment of said gingiva and related parts. SUB-CLAIMS 1 Instrument according to claim, charac terized in that the cup or cups are removably attached to the handle.

2 Instrument according to claim and sub- claim 1, characterized in that the cup or cups have at their base an opening through which they are threaded, thanks to their elasticity, on a button integral with the handle. 3 Instrument according to claim, charac terized in that the cup or cups are made of rubber.
