Device for damping the cable vibrations of overhead lines. To reduce the mechanical rope vibrations occurring in overhead lines, it has been proposed to hang up mechanically vibratory structures on the line. These structures are also excited to vibrate by the rope vibrations. They are set up so that they detune the vibrations of the line or have a dampening effect on them.
According to one of the present proposals, an annular pale surrounding the conduit is to be connected to it by springs. This device produces almost no attenuation; it is only suitable for an extremely narrow frequency range and also makes it difficult to attach to the line.
Another suggestion is to attach a short piece of the line rope in its middle to the line so that the two ends of the rope piece can swing freely conditions. The ends are provided with heavy weights. This device also works only with a relatively small frequency range; In addition, the attenuation is only slight and often different and indeterminate in the various devices, despite the same length of the rope used.
With the invention, the devices for damping the rope vibrations are improved with the aid of an oscillatable structure attached to the line.
According to the invention, the device contains a container suspended from the line and a piston movable with respect to the container and generates a damping air friction when both parts move against each other.
In the drawing, two execution examples of the invention are shown in section. In Fig. 1, 1 is the overhead line, 2 is the air tank suspended from it and 3 is the piston moving in the container. The piston is mounted on a guide rod 4 and connected to the housing by a helical spring. You can also arrange a spring on each side of the piston. The guide rod 4 is in the bottom of the container 2 and in the sealed lid 6 BEFE Stigt. Its upper end is suspended from the overhead line 1 by a cardan joint 7 or the like and a clamp 8. The inside of the container is sealed off from the outside and does not contain any moving parts that penetrate the outside.
The disc-shaped piston 3 forms the heavy mass which, in conjunction with the spring 5, represents a vibratory structure. The piston. 3 is mounted with play in the lightest possible housing 2 or provided with holes so that when the piston is moved, the air can step on the other side of the piston and dampen the movements.
The device is suspended on the line a few meters away from the support clamp. If rope vibrations occur, the damper also vibrates. Due to its inertia, the heavy mass 3 tends to lag behind the vibrations of the pot 2. This causes it to vibrate. Suspension, mass and air friction are dimensioned in such a way that the vibrations of the device counteract and dampen the rope vibrations. Part of the vibration energy is converted into heat by air friction and destroyed.
As a result of the use of air, the damping can be set up without difficulty in such a way that the vibrations at the suspension point are not so strongly damped that a reflection point arises here which could lead to overstressing.
It has been shown that for the effect of the device mainly the mass connected to the line by a suspension, but less the remaining mass attached to the line is decisive. In order to keep the less effective or even disruptive mass of the device as small as possible, the housing 2 can be designed as a heavy mass as shown in FIG. In this case the piston 3 consists of a thin disk. It is firmly connected to the line by the rod 4 and is supported by a spring 5 against the housing according to Fig. T. If vibrations occur, the piston 3 retains its position in the vertical direction with respect to the line 1, while the housing 2 vibrates with respect to line 1.
The ineffective weight, which consists only of the rod 4 and the thin piston 3, is much smaller in this arrangement than in the one shown in Fig. 1.
The determination of the size of the masses, springs and damping can be carried out by calculation or empirical means. The calculation can be based on the vibration equation and the known range of the resulting vibrations, as well as the known constants of the overhead line assume that only a certain maximum Ausschlagwirikel BEZW at the tension points of the rope. a certain maximum amplitude at the hanging point of the device should be allowed. The other necessary values result from this. But you can also determine the appropriate devices through experiments.
For this purpose, for example, a device can be designed so that the tension of the spring used can be adjusted or the air friction can be changed by a valve in the housing or an additional load on the oscillating mass is possible. The favorable Vorrich device determined through experiments can then serve as an output for the manufacture of other devices that now do not need to be equipped with valves and the tools necessary for the experiments.
