Pressure medium control device for switching at least one motor drive, for example for vehicles. The invention relates to a flow control device for switching at least one motor drive, for example for vehicles, from one or one of several driver's cabs, either one or the other of two motors or both motors at the same time can be controlled.
It is already known that a transmission of an engine can be switched from one of two driver's cabs by providing a special pressure cylinder and piston for each shift, each of these cylinders being connected to the driver's cabs by a line and through there a valve can be connected to the pressure medium source. It can be seen as obvious to connect the corresponding parts of two motors to each pressure cylinder so that the two motors can be controlled simultaneously from the driver's cabs.

A particularly simple design of the guide valve can be achieved in that two separate openings are provided on the circumference of a main slide, preferably opposite one another, to connect two corresponding lines belonging to different motors to the pressure medium supply. which can be made to coincide with the lines opening into the slide seat accordingly, and that one or the other of these two openings of the main slide can be shut off by an auxiliary slide against the pressure medium and preferably connected to the outside air.
Between the auxiliary slide and the main slide a coupling can be provided through which the auxiliary slide in the position in which it releases the two passage openings of the main slide and in the positions in which it closes off one of the two passage openings of the main slide with the Main slide can be coupled.
In the drawing, the subject invention is shown in one embodiment. Fig. 1 shows schematically the entire device for a railcar with two engines and with driver's cabs attached to the two vehicles generating; FIG. 2 shows an associated control element of a driver's cab in vertical section, and FIG. 3 shows parts of the same element in plan view; Figs. 4 to 9 show details of the control member. Compressed air is used as the pressure medium in the device shown.
In the schematic representation of FIG. 1, only one compressed air cylinder A1 and A2 for actuating one stage of a speed change gear is shown for each drive motor. The speed change transmission, the drive motors, and the actuators for Umsteue tion of the speed change transmission are not shown in the drawing and can have any known construction. Each compressed air cylinder A1, A2 is connected by a compressed air line I1 and 12 to the control organs B of the driver as seen at the two ends of the motor vehicle.
With each speed change transmission, as many compressed air cylinders are provided as the same speed has speed levels. A compressed air cylinder is used to switch a certain speed level on and off, with the switching on of this level by the pressure of the compressed air on the because of the moving piston 2 of the air cylinder concerned is brought about, while the switch off after the discharge of this piston by the Force of a spring 3 loading the piston 2 against the pressure of the compressed air takes place.
The control unit B for the individual driver's cabs presented in the drawing as an example is intended for the switching of three speed levels; Of course, the device could also be expanded to control a greater or lesser number of speed levels; As already mentioned, the number of printing cylinders A1, A2,. . ., And the number of pressure lines I1, I2, ..., which lead from the driver's cabs to the compressed air cylinders.
Each control member (Fig. 2 and 3) consists of a housing 20 which is ver through a line 21 with the compressed air source 41 connected. The bottom 22 of this housing forms the seat 23 of a rotary valve. The pipelines Ii, IIi, IIIl and 12, 112, 1112, 1112, 112, 112, 1112, coming from the individual compressed air cylinders open with openings 24, these lines being divided into two groups one group 1 the compressed air cylinders Ai, ...
of one motor and the other group 2 is assigned to the compressed air cylinders A2, ... of the other motor. The openings 24 of these lines in the slide seat are evenly distributed on a pitch circle in such a way that there is an intermediate space corresponding to two degrees of division between the end openings I1 to III2 and IM to I2 (FIG. 5). The mouths 24 are designed in such a way that there is enough space between them on the slide seat to completely close an opening of the same size of a rotary slide valve 25 working on the slide seat.
A rotary slide valve 25 rests on the slide seat 23 (FIGS. 2, 6 and 7), in which eight openings of the same size are provided on the same pitch circle as on the slide seat 23. Of these openings, two opposite openings <I> m </I> and <I> n </I> each have a vertical channel that extends through the entire thickness of the slide and is delimited on all sides, while the remaining openings 10, 11, 12 and 13, 14, 15 are provided only in the lower side of the slide and open into an inner cavity 26 of the slide. From this cavity 26 leads a closed top central bore 27 of the rotary valve in an open Ausmün Dende central bore 28 of the bath 22 of the valve housing.
On half the circumference of the rotary slide valve 25, incisions 16 are provided, namely one incision in front of each opening 10, 11, 12 and n, as well as a further incision 17 by half a division further. A resilient snapper 18 provided in the slide valve housing 20 cooperates with these incisions and determines the exact position of the rotary slide valve on the slide valve seat. In the two end positions, further rotation of the rotary slide is prevented by stops 19, so that the rotary slide can only perform half a turn. To operate the rotary valve, a spindle 30 is used, which is connected to the slide 25 by a rib 31 and a groove 32 (FIG. 2) and seal 33 is sealed in the slide housing with the aid of a labyrinth.
The upper protruding end of the spindle 30 is prismatic and on the same a Actuate crank 34 is placed. Above the rotary valve 25 there is a second rotary valve 35 resting on it and rotatable on its hub 41 (FIGS. 2, 8 and 9), in which there are through cutouts 36 and 37 and two lower radial grooves 38, 39, the mutual position is such that in a certain position of the slide 35 the through openings <I> m, </I> n of the slide 25 are released through the openings 36 and 37 of the slide 35, while in a different position of the slide 35 the one opening m of the slide 25 is covered by the groove 38,
which groove connects the opening m with .seitlichen openings 40 of the hub 41, .the slide 25 and .due to the central bore 27 of this visual fiber; the openings 37 and n of the slide are in this position one above the other.
In a third position, the other opening n of the slide 25 with the central bore 27 of this slide is again through the groove 39 a related party, while the opening iiz through the cutout 36 of the slide 35 is released. To actuate the upper rotary slide valve 36, a sleeve 4? Serving as a bearing chuck for the spindle 30 is used. whose lower end with the help of an arm 43 with.
the rotary valve 35 is connected and the upper end of the valve protruding from the valve housing 2 () is firmly connected to a crank disk 44 at a crank 45.
In the disc 44 there are three openings 46, 47, 48 corresponding to the three mentioned positions of the upper slide 35, whereby the crank 34 of the lower slide 25 carries a snapper 49 which can be brought into engagement with Qiner from these openings , whereby the two slides 25 and 35 are coupled to one another so that they move together when the crank 34 is actuated.
This control device works as follows: The starting point is the position Z of the crank 34 according to FIG. 5, it being assumed that this crank is above the transverse opening in the slide 25. In the position Z of the crank 34 and therefore also of the slide 25, all the openings of the slide 25 are on full surfaces of the slide plate 23, so that all compressed air ducts for the compressed air cylinders A1 ... are closed. In this position, the spool 25 of the respective abandoned driver's cab must be provided.
For this purpose, the crank 34 is provided with a bordering under a flange 50 of the slide housing 20 Ha ken 51; the flange 50 only has a cutout 52 in position Z of the crank 34, which allows the crank 34 to be lifted and released from the prism of the slide spindle 30. In this position, the slide 25 of this driver's cab, which cannot be actuated further, is secured by snapping the catch 18 into the notch 17 (FIGS. 3 and 7). It is therefore possible for compressed air to escape from the lines I, II and III of both motors through the openings in the sliding mirror on the driver's cab that has been left.
At the other driver's cab, from which the two motors are now to be controlled, the crank 34 taken along by the abandoned driver's cab is also set in position Z (due to the attachment of the cutout 52 on the valve housing 20). When the crank 34 is rotated from position Z (FIG. 5) counterclockwise to position 0, the openings 10 to 15 of the slide 25 come to cover the openings 24 of the slide 23 so that through the openings the compressed air cylinders A1, A2 connected to lines I1, II1, III1 and I2, II2, III2. . . through the chamber 20 and the bores 27 and 28 of the slide 25 and the bottom 22 are brought into connection with the outside air.
The compressed air supply openings m and n of the slide 25 are, however, still on full surfaces of the slide plate 23, so that no compressed air enters the lines I1, I2. . . can succeed. If the crank 34 is now turned further beyond the connection of the compressed air line I1, the openings m and n of the slide 25 pass through the mouths 24 of the pipes I1 and I2, so that the compressed air from the reservoir 4 via the slide housing into the lines h and I2 and can pass through these into the compressed air cylinders A1 and A2. The other Lei lines II1, III1 and II2, IIIz remain in connection with the outside air via the openings 10, 11 and 13, 14. The first stage of the speed of the two vehicle engines is switched on by the compressed air cylinders A1 and A2.
When further Dre hen the crank 34 BEZW in the same sense via line II1. II2, the lines IIi and 112 are now fed with compressed air through the openings in and 7a, while the lines 1i, 1111, 12- and III :, through the openings 10 and 15, and 12 and 13 with are in contact with the outside air. This switches on the second speed level. A similar process takes place when the third speed level is switched on. Any position of the slide ;; 25 is fixed by the resilient snapper 18.
When the third speed level is switched on, a further rotation of the crank 34 is prevented by the stop 19 'of the slide 25 at the last notch 16.
Sometimes it happens, especially with motor vehicles, that one or the other engine resp. his speed change gearbox must be switched off, be it to save power when driving on level ground or because an engine or gearbox has been damaged. The second slide 35 arranged above the control slide 25 is used for this purpose.
If, for example, the motor and the associated pressure / air cylinder of the group designated with the index 1 are to be put out of action, the upper slide 35 is rotated by the crank 45 after the catch 49 has been released so that a lower radial groove 38 Ge reached through the opening in the slide 25 and this opening closes on the one hand against the supply of compressed air, on the other hand through the openings 40 of the hub 41 of the lower slide 25 via the central bore 27 with the outside air. In this position, the bolt 49 of the crank snaps into the first hole 46 of the crank disk 41 of the upper slide 35.
When turning the actuating crank 34, no compressed air can get into the lines I1, II1 and III1, so that the relevant pressure air cylinders are not actuated. The other opening n of the slide 25 is kept open by the cutout 37 of the upper slide 35 so that the lines I2, II2 and III2 are sent with compressed air.
If, on the other hand, both cylinders are to work with their gears, the crank 45 is adjusted so that the bolt 49 of the crank 34 snaps into the central hole 47, in which position see the lower grooves 38, 39 of the upper slide 35 outside the area of the openings m and n are located, which openings are exposed by the cutouts 36 and 37 of the slide 35.
Finally, if the cylinders and the speed change gears of the group designated with the index 2 are to be switched off, the crank 45 is rotated so that the catch 49 of the crank 34 snaps into the third hole 48, in which position the lower groove 39 the opening n of the slide lever 35 connects to the outside air, while the opening m through the cutout 36 of the slide 35 remains exposed.
The arrangement could also be made so that in the slide 35 the grooves 38, 39 are omitted and the openings 36 and 37 of the slide are combined into one large opening, because it is sufficient, if necessary, to m only one of the openings and <I> n </I> of the slide 25 to cover and to leave the other opening open. This simplified arrangement is possible in particular in vehicles because the shutdown of a motor BEZW. of its transmission always only takes place in the 0 position of the crank 34, namely when the speeds are switched off and therefore when the compressed air cylinders are vented. The relative position of the slide 35 to the slide 25 on the driver's cab that is not in use has no influence on the correct control, because the slide 25 on this driver's cab is in the Z position anyway.
The connection of the on the car body, on which the driver's cabs are located, permanently laid compressed air pipes with the working cylinders can be done in a simple manner by hoses if the organs to be switched are not box in the car but are stored in the bogie.
