Relais.
Relay. Known relays, the iron circle of which consists of a stamped piece, have the part after that the coil must be pushed onto the core with a press fit. If the press tolerances are too small, it is very common for the turns of the coil to tear. A strengthening of the support body can fix this after, but reduces the available winding space, so that larger relay dimensions must be selected to achieve the same performance.
The invention avoids the disadvantages of the known relays and achieves an extremely simple assembly, manufacture and storage of the relays with ver relatively small dimensions. These advantages are achieved in the relay, the iron circle of which is formed from stamped pieces, in that, according to the invention, the core consists of two parts bent at right angles, one of which is inserted into the finished coil while the bends are made opposite end faces of the winding coil.
The coil opening and the core do not have to be dimensionally accurate, since the coil is always held on your core joined together by the bent legs of the core parts.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the invention is shown in different views: Fig. 1 shows a section through the relay, Fig. 2 is a plan view, Fig. 3 is a view from below, Fig. 4 is a front view, with one half of the armature is omitted, Fig. 5 is a perspective view of a mounting rail for several relays, which is stamped from one piece and then bent.
One core part 2 of the relay is expediently bent in a U-shape in such a way that it also forms the yoke 1. The contact springs can then be mounted on this core part before assembly and then adjusted so that the storage is limited to yoke pieces with contact springs, second core pieces and winding coils, which are plugged together as required.
In order to keep the saturation of the iron circle equally high at all points, it is advisable to avoid changes in cross-section as possible. At the transition point from the yoke to the core, the second core part is pushed so far over the transition point that cross-sectional reductions are definitely avoided. Yoke 1 and core 2, 3 have practically the same cross section. At this point, the second core part is also connected to the yoke 1 by a screw 4.
The coil 5, which is designed as a unit in a known manner, is pushed onto the core part 2, which is firmly connected to the yoke 1, until it strikes the yoke. Then the second at right angles bent core part 3 is inserted ben in the same direction. A movement of the coil in the opposite direction is effectively prevented by stops 7 on this core part. A possibility of movement of the coil 5 with larger tolerances in the clear opening of the coil is expediently avoided by a resilient deflection of the second core part 3, so that the coil sits permanently on the core, the bends of the core parts being on opposite end faces of the coil .
In the case of cutting armature relays, the stop in the second core part 3 is expediently designed in such a way that the front end 7 is bent downward. At the same time as this bending, the center of the pole shoe is placed below the coil axis, so that by extending the effective lever arm to actuate the spring sets 21, a lower force than usual is required, so the coil can be made relatively small.
It goes without saying that with cutting armature relays the free ends of the legs must lie in one plane, which can be achieved in special cases by regrinding or the like.
Exact holding forces are advantageously achieved when the glue stick or the adhesive sheet 10 strikes as deep as possible below the center of the pole shoe on the bent end 7 of the second core part 3, so that accordingly thicker adhesive sheets BEZW. larger tolerances can be selected. In addition, the sheet metal arranged in this way is subject to less pressure on impact than one arranged in front of or more above the center of the pole piece.
In this way, compression can be avoided and the holding forces of the relay remain constant for a long time. A reduction in the assembly costs when bringing the adhesive sheet on the anchor is achieved in that the anchor 9 is laterally incised, over which the sheet is placed in the manner of brackets.
In order to arrange several such relays on a common mounting rail, the mounting rail is punched in one piece with the yokes 3.2 and a part 33 of the core pieces of the individual relays and then bent. The carrier rail with a U-shaped cross-section has the advantage that bending or twisting of the carrier rail under the load of the magnet coils and the relay armature is reliably avoided.
Compared to the known attachment of individual ready-mounted relays on a common rail, the arrangement shows the advantage of saving special fasteners, since the mounting rail, which also forms the yokes and part of the core pieces of the relay, itself is the carrier of the relay. A support rail designed in this way can therefore be used successfully as a component for relays or voter racks.
In Figure 5, the support rail 31 is shown with a U-shaped profile. The yoke pieces and the core part of the individual relays form extensions of the legs of the U-shaped mounting rail. At the end the mounting rail has suitable devices for attachment to racks, for example holes 34 through which a vertical axis is carried out for the purpose of being able to pivot the mounting rail from a frame not provided. The assembly of the relay is done in the same way as described above, in that the coil 3.5 is pushed onto the core 33 and then the second core part 36 is inserted and fastened.
After the angle armature and the spring sets have been attached, the relays are individually ready for operation after the electrical leads have been connected.
