Wird nun diircli Loslassen der Zugleine der Kontakt Z, ge öffnet, so fällt das Relais _I, ab. Zugleich aber zieht das Relais Cl an, da vorher der Kontakt b,2 iin Stromkreis des Relais C, ge schlossen wurde und durch das Abfallen des Relais A, der Stromkreis für das Relais C, mittelst des Kontaktes a,_ geschlossen -üd. Da damit, der Selbsthaltekontakt C;

Optical-acoustic signaling device on trams and the like. The subject or invention is an optical-acoustic signaling device on trams and the like with several signaling devices arranged at the driver's cab for the delivery of various signals, for example travel, stop, emergency signals that are manually operated at the conductors' seats in the individual Car-mounted signal contacts can be switched on depending on the frequency of actuation of these contacts.
It is known to use the signal contacts housed in the individual wagons, which are preferably connected to the pull cord provided for the mechanical signaling, to control step-by-step switches, which in turn have various circuits attached to the driver's cab Control signal devices such as signal lamps and signal bells.
In signaling devices of this type, the travel signal is usually triggered by giving a single gontakt in the individual car, twice making contact to trigger the stop signal and by making contact with the emergency signal four times. The contacts controlled by the step switchgear and located in the electrical circuits of the signal devices are connected to one another in such a way that the journey time only then appears.
if all. Signal contacts assigned to the individual wagons are set to travel, while the stop signal as well as the emergency signal from each individual gnaw can be given on its own.
This known arrangement has the disadvantage that the step switches used are quite sensitive and therefore easily give rise to incorrect switching, while, on the other hand, their production infol; -e rler Sonderau @führung is relatively @ ostsni @ - lig.
According to the invention, reliable signaling is achieved in that a group of interdependent relays is assigned to each gnaw, which can be switched on by means of the signal contacts and their contacts in this way in the circuits of the -e-. Signal devices are arranged that the desired signal in the working position of the signal contacts is prepared by excitation of a certain group of relays and in the rest position of the signal contacts is turned on by a certain other group of relays excited.
This achieves the part before that you can use the normal relay that is otherwise used in telecommunications technology for the signaling device.
An expedient embodiment of the subject matter of the invention results from the fact that the contacts which are located in the circuits of the Signalvor device and are used to switch them on and off are dependent on the relays controlling them in such a way that, in the working position of the signal contacts, simultaneously with the preparation of the signal Deletion of a best loyalty takes place.
While in the previously known signaling devices the deletion of an existing signal only occurs at the same time as the new signal is switched on, this results in the arrangement mentioned, for example; in which the existing signal is deleted when the new signal is being prepared, i.e. when the pulling line controlling the signal contact is pulled, the advantage that the resulting pause can serve as a preparatory sign for the new signal for the driver .
To reset the signals, in particular the travel signal, a reverse sIeljrelais, preferably provided with three windings and acting on the signal circuits, can be arranged, one winding of which is connected to a contact of the travel switch, so that the travel signal is activated when the vehicle is started is automatically deleted. This circuit offers the advantage that, in contrast to the known arrangements, a special version or a conversion of the drive switch, in particular an attachment of coke ken or slip rings, is not required.
The one winding of the zweclzinä.ssi,., @ Provided with three windings reset relay can be viewed on the drive switch l-ontakt in order to cause the release of the F-.lirtsigna.ls when starting. The second winding can be short-circuited and thereby cause the briefly attracted armature to drop out again in a manner known per se, so that the contact that was turned over to cancel the travel signal is returned to its rest position to enable it to be signaled again.
Finally, the third winding can be arranged in the circuit of a switch to be operated by the driver, preferably a push-button switch, in order to enable the emergency signal and possibly incorrectly given signals to be deleted.
The signaling device can also be supplemented in an expedient manner by arranging a separating capacitor in the circuit of the stop signal, which is dependent on a relay that responds when the emergency signal is switched on, preferably with three windings, so that when the emergency signal is switched on, a previously existing stop signal is deleted. Here:
The relay used to switch off the stop signal is expediently designed as a holding relay, in such a way that after the emergency signal has been switched on once, it remains fully attracted to the contacts causing the switch-on, and continues in the circuit of the emergency signal controlled by signal relays,
disconnecting contacts are arranged independently of the above-mentioned holding relay, which enable the emergency signal to be repeated any number of times by pressing the signal contact arranged in the carriage once.
This arrangement has the advantage over the known designs, in which the acoustic signal only sounds a single 142a1 when an emergency signal is given, that the driver can repeat the signal from the conductor once more or as often as he likes given emergency signal can become attentive, which can be of decisive importance, for example, when the driver is distracted by the optical signaling in busy traffic and that once when the emergency signal is switched on has overheard the given acoustic signal.
The drawing shows a circuit diagram of the signaling device according to the invention, for example. It has been assumed that the tram or. Railway train consists of a motor vehicle and two sseiw a.gen. In the individual \ Vagen pull contacts Z ,, Z = and Z "are arranged in a known manner, which are preferably designed as closing contacts. The lines in which these pull contacts are located are led through to the motor vehicle and connected to the relays arranged there . In the circuit of contacts Z ,.
Z. ,, Z., relays A ,, A =, A, '. , each of which has a relay group B, C, D, </ I> E is dependent. These relay groups act depending on the type of signal emitted on the circuits of the signal lamps F, II TT. which show the type of signal emitted by their different colors. The three signal lamps are jointly assigned a striking bell G, which is activated each time a signal is emitted and acoustically alerts the driver to the optical signal.
In order in the event that the motor vehicle alone or. drives with only one sidecar to enable a convenient switching of the signaling device, a rotary switch S is provided, which partially bridges the contacts dependent on the relay groups depending on its position.
The input relay A is switched on by the pull switch contact Z. This also closes contact a "of relay B,. Since contact d" is at rest, it responds shortly after relay l1, (read relay B. This closes the self-holding contact b "in the circuit of relay B ,, and since the changeover contact d, _ ini the circuit of relay B, is at rest, b: i 1 t the relay B1 itself.
If contact Z, ge opens by letting go of the pull cord, relay _I, drops out. At the same time, however, the relay Cl picks up, since previously the contact b, 2 iin the circuit of the relay C, was closed, and by the dropping out of the relay A, the circuit for the relay C, by means of the contact a, _ closed -üd. Since with it, the self-holding contact C;
, ge is closed and the changeover contact c ,, in the circuit of this relay is at rest, the relay C keeps itself excited.
If the second pulling of the rin dc-i pull cord causes the contact Z to be closed again, relay _4 responds for the second time.
Since the contact r, "is closed in the current signal of relay D, when relay _1 responds, contact a,. Of relay D, is closed and this is made to respond. At the same time, however, relay B, must de-energize because the Eiontaki d "is opened @vird and the changeover contact cl goes into the working position.
The contact @ "is connected in series with the latter, but is still open at this time. The relay D, is also held, now via a self-holding contact d, 3 and via the R.uli (@ -contact b" itself excited.
If contact Z, is opened again by releasing the pull cord, relay A, drops out. and relay E, responds, because I1cn- tact d, 4 was previously closed and when relay A, drops, contact a "returns to the rest position. The relay too E, now holds itself through self-holding.ekou- tact e ". At the same time, however, relay C, must drop out,
because the "# Ä, I Wechselkonta.kt e, 3 goes into working position and the working contact b ', connected in series with it, is open.
After the first pull on the cable, the relays B, and C, are energized, after the second pull, the relays D, and E ,. If the pull line is now pulled a third time, relay A responds again and thus again excites itelais B "via the working contact ei and the working contact a". Relay B, hold itself via the working contact d, 2, the contact e, 2 and the self-holding contact b, 1. At the same time, however, the relay D,
drop because the changeover contact b ,,, goes into the working position and the contact cl. Connected in series with it is open. 'UIf the pull cord is released for the third time, speaks again via the normally closed contact a,:>. and the contact b "the relay C, and holds itself via the normally open contact of the changeover contact e13, the contact b". "and the self-holding contact cl ,.
After the third pull on the pull line, the relays B ,, Cl and El are attracted.
If relay A is excited for the fourth time by pulling the pulling line for the fourth time, relay D responds again via contact a, 3 and contact e, 2 and holds itself via make contact b ", the make contact c, 3 and the self-holding contact d, 3. This time, however, the response of the relay D, the relay BI is not switched off, since the changeover contact d, 2 goes into the working position and the relay B, via the contact e, 2 and the self-holding contact b "is held.
If the relay A, drops again when the pull cord is released, all four relays B ,, C, remain. D, and E, switched on via their self-holding contacts, so that after the fourth pull all four relays are live (, '..
The same circuit is repeated for the five relays A2, B2, C2, D2 and E2 of the second car and the relays A3, B3. C3. D3 and E3 of the third car.
If you now put in the circuit of the driving lamp F always in series a normally open contact of relay C and a normally closed contact of relay D (c,., And d ,, of relay C, respectively. Dl, c2., And that of C2 respectively. D2 etc.), the driving lamp can only light up if all relays C are activated and all relays D are idle. However, this is only the case if the pull line of each wagon is pulled once or three times.
In a known manner, the driving contacts of the second and third car can be bridged by the rotary switch 8 (in position 1) when the railcar is traveling alone, the driving contacts of the third car alone in a corresponding manner by flipping the switch 8 </ B > (in position if only one sidecar is attached.
A branch line a.n, which leads to one winding of the relay Q, is connected to a terminal of the drive switch or controller K, which is under voltage during all of the controller's driving positions. If now the driving signal F lights up, it is like switching off. can be seen, a circuit for the relay Q is also established at the same time.
If the wagon train starts by turning the controller to the first travel contact, the relay receives voltage, picks up and opens through the normally closed contact q on the common negative line of all wager relays. As a result, everyone must now. Relays B and C drop out and the green lamp F goes out. At the same time, delayed by a drop-out delay winding, the relay is idle again.
This circuit means that there is no need to install contacts in the controller.
As a rule, the white or blue stop lamp H is switched on by two contacts b "and e" in series. These are connected in parallel with contacts h25 and e2 "and contacts 7.25 and ess. Is in If any car is pulled twice on the leash, the corresponding relays n and E are switched on in the manner described, whereby the stop lamp irl lights up. The meaning of the contact r; in the circuit of the stop lamp H is explained below.
The ITaltesianal is automatically converted back into a travel signal if the departure signal is given by pulling the pull cord once more in the car in which the stop signal was given, as this causes the relays of this car to be set in the manner described above so that the contacts for the driving lamp are closed. Of course, this again only lights up when the exit sign has been given in all of the cars and the corresponding relays are set so that all of the series-connected contacts of the driving lamp F are closed.
The emergency lamp N (usually a red lamp) lights up when the contacts b ", d16 and al, are closed. With these, in turn, corresponding contacts of the second and third relay sets are connected in parallel. The contacts b" and d16 in the lamp circuit of the Emergency lamps N are only closed if relay A1 has been energized four times, so that the emergency signal is given by pulling four times.
The negative pole of all three signal lamps leads together via an impact alarm clock G to negative. The alarm clock goes off every time a signal lamp lights up.
The normally closed contacts a16, a26 and aa ..-, im, circuit of the emergency lamp N ensure that the bell strikes again every time the leash is pulled in the car after the fourth time, so that the driver is particularly alert (read the emergency signal Between the contacts d and a in the emergency lamp circuit, three lines are branched off, which lead to three separate windings of relay B, the ends of which are connected to minus is laid.
If the emergency signal is given by any car, the relay R must respond via the corresponding break contact r2 at the moment when the pull cord is pulled for the fourth time. As a result, relay B switches itself to positive via self-holding contact r1, so that relay R now holds itself permanently. At the same time, contact r3 in the circuit of the stop lamp is opened, thereby canceling any stop signal. The anchor of the impact alarm clock G drops and can with the.

<tb> B, <SEP> on, <SEP> and <SEP> at the same time <SEP> <SEP> the <SEP> relay <SEP> 1,1 drops out, but this causes the stop lamp H goes out,
because the normally closed contact b1G is opened in the circuit of the stop lamp. This also releases the anchor of the alarm clock G. If the conductor lets go of the pull cord, the relay C is energized by means of the rest contact alz, whereby the contact ei in the circuit of the driving lamp h 'is closed. Only now does it light up and bell G strikes.
The time of making contact by means of the pull cord is used to first loosen the clapper of the bell G and then, when you let go, to bring it back to the n stop. The process is similar in the case when the stop signal is given from one car and the emergency signal is then given from another car.
Here, when the leash is pulled for the fourth time, the contacts bi, and dl, in the circuit of the emergency lamp are closed, which means that the relay R responds and thus through the contact 7z, the Stop lamp H goes out. The anchor of bell G also falls off. Only when the pull line is released, the contact a ″ in the circuit of the emergency lamp is closed and this causes the same to light up, so that the anchor of the bell G can now attract another blow.
