<tb> Each <SEP> two <SEP> on <SEP> opposite each other <SEP>
<tb> Frame sides <SEP> are arranged <SEP> terminals <SEP> g <SEP>
<tb> through <SEP> a <SEP> thread-like <SEP> body <SEP> i <SEP> and <SEP> each
<tb> two <SEP> on the <SEP> circumference <SEP> of the <SEP> inspection opening <SEP> one '<SEP> on the <SEP> opposite <SEP> terminals <SEP> <I> Ir, </I> < SEP> through
<tb> a <SEP> thread-like <SEP> body <SEP> A- <SEP> together
<tb> connected. <SEP> The <SEP> terminals <SEP> are <SEP> the <SEP> fastening elements <SEP> of the <SEP> bodies <SEP> i <SEP> and <SEP> k.
<SEP> The <SEP> bodies <I> i </I> and 7j are made of a very elastic material, for example rubber, so that when you move the clamps g resp. ) z. can expand or contract according to the changes in the mutual distance between the latter. The frame <I> a </I> has two slots <I> 1, </I> by means of which it can be hooked into the hooks of a (not shown) tripod. When aiming at a drawing object, the displayed instrument is set up perpendicular to the direction of view. It is usually held in the hand with an outstretched left arm or carried on a tripod.
Through the viewing opening b delimiting the field of view of the observer, the surroundings can be searched for the drawing object, for example for an architectural group or a scenic motif, and the object can be sighted using the threads i., K. For this purpose, the threads are moved by moving their clamps <I> g </I> respectively. 1z set parallel to the striking lines of the drawing object, while individual points to be recorded are fixed by thread crossings. In this way, an ideal line network of the drawing object is obtained, which can be transferred to the drawing sheet by drawing.
The instrument shown also serves as an aid and means of illustration for teaching free-hand drawing, especially in perspective drawing, by being able to use it with the naked eye without impairing natural vision. By fixing the distinctive lines and points, the observation is made clearer and, as a result, the clarity of the image impression is sharpened.
Furthermore, the instrument shown is suitable for geometric purposes, for example for the display of tangents, sectors, triangles and polygons, by shifting the threads i or 1c accordingly. It also makes it possible to measure the angle on a graphic figure brought under the viewing opening, for example on a triangle, one side of which is placed on the thread i going through the zero points of the scale d and one side of which is placed on the one formed by a crosshair Center of the viewing opening is brought.
A thread <I> 1c </I> running through the center in the direction of the adjacent side allows the size of the angle enclosed between the crossing threads i, k, to be read off on the scale d. For the purpose of determining the cross-sectional profile or the Profilabmessun conditions of a protruding through the viewing openings the body, the threads i. placed on the same and read the distances on the length scale c of the frame a. For the geographical direction determination according to a map, a right-angled crosshair is formed from two threads i, one thread of which goes through the zero points of the scale d. goes and intersects with the other thread in the center of the viewing opening.
The intersection of the two threads i. is now brought over the location from which the direction is to be determined on the map below the viewing opening b. The zero thread is set in the north direction and the direction from the location to the target is set with a thread k going through the center. The angle of direction can now be read from the scale, d and transferred to the bussole, taking into account the local and temporal declinations.
