Switching device for relays in order to keep away the higher harmonics of the network sizes in the latter. In the case of relays that are used to protect high-voltage appliances, lines and apparatus, incorrect displays often occur due to the higher harmonics of the network sizes. One has therefore used relatively insensitive relays, but they have the disadvantage that 'the machines, Ap parate and lines are only insufficiently protected.
In order to be able to use very sensitive relays without fear of false displays, one or more blocking chains for the higher harmonics of the network variables are connected upstream of the relays according to the invention. This switching device is particularly suitable for AC relays that respond to the neutral point potential shift or to the total current.
In order to maintain a constant transformation ratio between the mains current and the relay current in the event of fluctuations in the basic frequency, it is advisable to choose the wave resistance of the: blocking chain equal to the resistance of the relay being fed.
In order to be able to economically dimension the choke coils and capacitors of the blocking chain as well as to fulfill the above condition, it is expedient to switch intermediate transformers with such selected ones at the input or at the output or also at both points of the blocking chain Translation ratios,
that the tension on the chain is increased and the current is decreased. If, for example, the tension on the locking chain is brought to ten times the part and the current to the tenth part, the wave resistance for the.
building the chain is a hundred times larger than before, which now requires much smaller, more economical capacitors. The tensions aas. the capacitors are usually so "small that they can be easily controlled.
The throttling effect of these locking chains in the throttle area can be increased by providing an additional inductance in the relay circuit connected to the last locking chain link, which can only be contained in the relay itself, and that this additional inductance is provided by an upstream compensating capacitance is compensated at the effective frequency.
With this arrangement, the frequency independence is somewhat disturbed in the Durohlässigkeitsbereich, but the blocking effect in the throttle area is significantly increased. As a result, Maat saves on chain links with the same locking effect. Care must be taken that for the frequency at which the relay is to be effective, the resonance system that loads the chain represents a pure ohmic resistance, that is to say. just tuned to resonance.
It is advisable to combine the additional inductance with the last inductive locking chain link to form a single circuit element, which is formed, for example, by the relay's trip coil. The inductance of this circuit element must then be compensated for by an upstream compensating capacitance at the effective frequency, except for the inductance required for the last inductive blocking chain link that is otherwise present.
Fig. 1 shows an embodiment of the invention in a device for recording he deg Gestel1 @ ichlus, ses, clbs means in a device that switches off the generator or gives a signal if any point in the winding of the generator with the housing comes in contact.
The voltage coil of the frame circuit relay is connected between the star point of the generator and earth, and the current coil of the frame circuit relay is influenced by the total current of the star-connected generator winding. The star point of generator 1 is located. via the primary side of voltage transformer 2 to earth,
the secondary side of which feeds the voltage coil of the frame closing relay 3 via the locking chain 4. The current coil of the frame closing relay is via the intermediate transformer 8, the blocking chain 5 and the intermediate transformer 6 on the three parallelges.cha.lteten secondary sides of the current transformer 7, whose primary sides are traversed by the individual phase currents of the generator.
The use of the blocking chain prevents the frame closing relay from responding when higher harmonics occur without a neutral point potential shift or a total current of the fundamental wave having occurred. With precise coordination of the locking chain, one would be able to get along with just a single locking chain, which, for example, then only had to be connected in front of the current coil of the wattmetric relay.
Fig. 2 shows another embodiment example of the invention: Before the relay 11, the locking chain 12, which consists of the inductive members 13, 14, 15 and the capacitive members 17, 18 and 19 is connected. The inductance 13 is half as large as the inductance 14, respectively. the inductance 15. The capacitances 17, 18 and 19 are pale in size.
The last inductive link in the chain, which is also known to be half the size of the inductors 14 and / or. 15 is in the. Relay inductance 16 included. The relay inductance 16 is partially compensated by the compensating capacitance 10; It should be noted that the last link in the chain, which is included in the relay inductance 16, must not be compensated.
If the individual inductances and capacitances are designated with the indices corresponding to the drawing, the following formula applies:
EMI0002.0093
where L, o the relay inductance, Clo the equalizing capacitance and L,. $ the inductance of the first inductive chain link,
which, as is well known, must be exactly as large as the inductance of the last inductive chain link still contained in the relay inductance. co is the angular frequency of the fundamental wave at which the relay should respond.
