Man neutralisiert dann genau, indem man 275 Teile Ätznatron in Lösung (40'B6) zugibt.
Process for the preparation of 3 ', 5'-diamino-V-hydroay-ortho-benzoyl-benzoic acid. The invention relates to a process for the production of 3 ', 5'-diamino-4'-liydroxy-ortho-benzoyl-benzoic acid. According to this process, this acid is obtained by reduction from 3 '; 5'-dinitro-4'-hydroxy-ortlio-benzoyl-benzoic acid by reduction.
The reduction is based on the following criteria:
EMI0001.0008
The reduction process can be carried out with iron and dilute acid as with other dinitro bodies, but it should be expressly pointed out here that the dinitro body can also be carried out by other processes, for example electrolytically or by hydrogen and a catalyst, by tin and hydrochloric acid, by sulfides and the same can be reduced.
The 3 ', 5'-diamino-4'-hydroxy-ortho-benzoyl-benzoic acid is a light yellow-brown, crystalline powder in its pure state: which, without melting, at a temperature of over <B> 250' </ B> gradually decomposes. It is easily soluble in alcohol and other organic solvents, as well as in dilute sodium hydroxide solution and in ammonia. It is practically insoluble in water, but soluble in dilute mineral acids. It absorbs nitrous acid in a dilute mineral acid solution up to about 95% of the theoretical amount for the two amino groups. The alkaline solution in water is deeply dark in color.
The following is an example of the preferred reduction process: 450 parts by weight of iron powder and 60 parts by weight of glacial acetic acid are added to 3000 parts by weight of water. This mixture is heated to 90 to 9.5 C, and while the temperature of 90 to 95 o C is maintained, this mixture becomes a paste consisting of 332 parts by weight of 3 ', 5' in a period of three hours. -Dinitro-4'-hydroxyd-.ortho-benzoyl-benzoic acid and 1500 parts of hot water to be set. The temperature of the reducing mass is then kept at 95 ° for a further hour.
Then the mass is neutralized by adding a solution of 122 parts of calcined iSoda in 500 parts of water. A solution of 105 parts of sodium sulfide (100%) in 500 parts of water is then added to this neutralized reducing mass. The temperature from 96 to 98 0 is maintained for a further half an hour.
The iron is then filtered off and the latter is washed thoroughly with 1000 parts of hot water. 910 parts of hydrochloric acid (20 o B6) are then added to the sworn filtrate. The mass is then boiled for two hours, cooled to 25 o and filtered. It is then precisely neutralized by adding 275 parts of caustic soda in solution (40'B6).
The mixture is left to stir overnight and the end product, namely 3 ', 5'-diamino-4'-hydroxy-ortho-benzoylbenzoic acid, is filtered off and washed on the filter with about 1000 parts of cold water. After drying at <B> 100 '</B> C, a yield of 244 parts is obtained, which corresponds to 90% of the theoretical yield.
The 3 ', 5'-diamino-4'-hydroxy-ortho-benzoyl-benzoic acid obtained in this way is a valuable intermediate for the production of anthraquinones and in particular for the production of 1,3-diamino-2-hydroxy-anthraquinone .
