Circulation cooling device for electrical machines. For the ventilation of electrical machines, the fans are often not built into the machine to be ventilated for structural reasons, but are set up separately, with the drive either directly from the main machine or by a special motor. With "closed circulation cooling11 with coolers switched on in the cooling circuit, uncomfortably large connecting lines are now necessary between the electrical machine, fan and cooler; the cooler and fan also take up a lot of space. It has therefore already been proposed, for example, to place the cooler directly in the To install the pressure chamber of the fan.
The present invention relates to such a combination of fan and cooler to form a "cooling group, which is characterized by particularly favorable use of space. It consists in that the cooling pipes, which is known per se in intercoolers of centrifugal compressors, in the axial direction around the impeller or impellers of the fan are arranged, but penetrate both the suction space and the pressure chamber of the Ventila sector. ' Figs. 1 and 2, and 3 and 4 show two example arrangements of the inven tion concept.
It means 1 the electrical machine to be cooled, 2 the exit of the cooling medium heated in it, 3 the entry of the cold coolant into the machine 1, 4 the housing of the cooling group, 5 the cooler, 6 fan wheels, 7 drive motors of the fans, 8 connecting lines between the cooling group and electrical machine and 9 a changeover flap.
Fig. 1 and 2 stand out due to the transverse position of the cooling groups in the opening between the foundation pillars of the electrical machine, while Figs. 3 and 4 show two longitudinally positioned cooling groups that the space below the electrical machine 1 for cleaning a longitudinally positioned capacitor 10 remains free.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 4, the warm air coming from 2 and 8 flows through the circularly arranged cooler 5 for the first time in the suction chamber of each fan 6 and for the second time in the pressure chamber of the same.
This arrangement has the advantage that the spaces required for the fan can be used to accommodate the cooler without any significant enlargement, with the axially directed cooling tubes having a desired length with regard to the lowest production costs and being accessible for cleaning. If, as shown in the examples, two cooling groups connected in parallel are provided (one group may be sufficient), the drive motor 7 can be a hindrance to cleaning the pipes, for example according to Figs. 1 and 2.
In this case, you will only partially fill the circular ring with cooling pipes, while the part behind the motor base remains free (see Fig. 2), or you will remove the motor from the cooling group to be cleaned, after which the changeover flap 9 has been switched accordingly is. This change is leading the. all air to the second cooling group, whereby the heat transfer coefficient is increased due to the increased air speed there, so that the cooling effect is only slightly reduced despite half the cooling surface.
This changeover option in conjunction with 2 cooling groups connected in parallel also increases the operational reliability of the cooling system.
