Dr ehkolbenmaseliine.
Rotary piston machine. In rotary piston machines with sickle-shaped working space, the pistons are difficult to lubricate and seal at the points that slide on the cylindrical part of the machine housing, because there, due to the constantly changing angle between the piston and the cylindrical running surface, there is no surface contact, but rather only line contact can take place.
Where the distances between the piston trumpet and the housing cylinder are smallest and largest, the drum and cylinder surfaces are parallel to one another, while in compressors, for example, they diverge on the suction side, but converge on the pressure and discharge side, whereby both the Divergence, just like convergence, is constantly changing.
As a result, the piston heads sway back and forth during their sliding movement on the cylinder surface, so that the lines of contact come to rest on them more to the rear when they are sucked in and more to the front when they are compressed and pushed out. What is particularly unfavorable for lubrication and sealing is that the lines of contact shift when compressing and pushing out to the front.
The more this is dreadfully the case, the greater is the risk that the pistons will push the lubricant adhering to the running surface of the cylinder in front of them and thus prevent it from reaching the points of contact. However, it is precisely on the compression and extension side that good lubrication and sealing are most necessary because there the pressure loads between the piston heads and the cylinder wall reach their maximum values and there are considerable pressure differences between the vane spaces.
First, as a result of the piston being pushed into the drum, the resistance in the piston slots of the drum has to be overcome, which adds to the centrifugal force while it is subtracted from it on the suction side, and secondly, the pistons are during the compression period due to the pressure differences between the adjacent Xolbenkompartimenten thrown lateral pressure, by which the said resistance is increased.
The present invention aims to avoid the difficulty mentioned at the outset. The invention consists in that the surfaces of the pistons sliding on the cylindrical sliding surface of the machine housing are curved in such a way and so wide that they include narrowing wedge-shaped spaces in all piston positions together with the cylindrical sliding surface of the housing in the sense of sliding resistance through which the lubricant penetrates in the form of a uniform film between the sliding points.
An embodiment of the subject invention is on the drawing provides Darge.
1 shows a radial section through a rotary piston compressor; In Fig. 2 are in the points 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Figure 1 relative to the drum positions of the cylin drical sliding surface of the compressor housing and dec piston compared to each other on a larger scale; FIG. 3 is a section along the line III-III of FIG.
a is the compressor housing, b the eccentrically arranged drum and e are the rotating, approximately radially movable pistons of a rotary piston compressor rotating in the direction of the arrow, its left side the suction side and the right side of which is the pressure side and the discharge side. In FIG. 2, the relative positions of the cylindrical housing sliding surface with respect to the drum associated with points 1, 2, 3 and 4 of FIG. 1 are also designated by 1, 2, 3 and 4. This figure shows the limits within which these relative positions can be varied.
In point 1, where the distance between cylinder and drum is almost zero and the pistons are in their innermost position, and in point 3, where this distance is a maximum and the Xolben are in their outer most position, are drum and Cylindrical surfaces parallel to each other. In the points th 2 (middle suction side) and 4 (Titte pressure and discharge side), however, in which the pistons are in a 11littellage with respect to the drum, the mutual position of the surfaces mentioned, seen in the direction of rotation, is divergent or convergent.
As a result, the lines of contact between the piston and cylinder sliding surfaces move continuously back and forth on the piston heads in such a way that they have reached their foremost position in point 4 and their rearmost position in point 2.
In order to prevent this line of contact from moving as far as the front edge of the piston, which is a move in front of you. Would cause scraping away of the lubricant located on the sliding surface of the housing, the sliding surfaces of the pistons working together with the cylindrical sliding surface are curved in such a way and so wide that they also include wedge-shaped spaces g with the cylinder sliding surface in the most unfavorable position corresponding to point 4, which gradually narrow in the direction of the sliding resistance.
In this way, the lubricant is caught by the piston heads and evenly distributed over the entire width of the cylinder to the points of contact, even if the points of contact are in their foremost position on the piston heads. In addition to excellent lubrication, this also enables excellent sealing of the sliding points. The piston heads are designed in such a T-shape that the lines of contact are only on their rear part, i.e. H. between dots d and e, but do not move back and forth on their front part.
In itself, the eccentrically acting in this way on the piston pressure forces of the cylinder are unfavorable, but they are not to be feared for the reason because they are only on the suction side, d. H. when they are small, they act eccentrically, while on the pressure and discharge side, where they reach their maximum value, they are roughly centered.
The measure according to the present invention is of course not only for Kol ben with leading heads, as is the case in the embodiment; but also for radially arranged pistons and pistons provided with trailing heads. The piston heads can also be designed other than T-shaped.
It has been shown that in machines of this type, an ample supply of lubricant to the contact points between the piston and cylinder, especially during the compression and extension periods, is very valuable. The pistons are therefore also designed in such a way that they act as a lubricating pump when they are pushed into the drum during this period. For this purpose, they are provided with grooves f on the front, through which the lubricant displaced from the slots by the penetrating piston is passed directly to the piston heads and from there at the right time to the lubrication points.
The lubricant is introduced into the piston slots of the drum in some way, not shown further, from the space under delivery pressure.
However, these grooves also result in other advantages. Namely, if the Kol ben would fit sealingly into the slots, so that the entry and exit of the work or lubrication respectively. If the locking means were excluded, a vacuum could arise behind the piston when moving outwards and an overpressure when moving inwards. Both phenomena are unfavorable, because underpressure during the suction period can prevent the pistons from escaping freely and overpressure during the compression and extension period can significantly increase the pressure load, which is avoided by the grooves mentioned.
It has been shown that with a compressor according to the present invention, a considerably better degree of efficiency can be achieved than with the previous versions.
Of course, the present invention is not limited to compressors; but also on pumps and the like other machines working with rotating pistons can be used.
