Description
Klettereisen.
Climbing trips. The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in two views.
The climbing iron shown consists mainly of a rail a, for example from 30 X 6 mm flat iron. This is bent at the bottom to a stirrup. At the top and bottom it has loops b for leather straps c and d. with which the crampon is attached above the ankle and directly below the knee. In order to prevent the upper strap d and the end piece of the iron from rubbing against the leg, a thick felt tape fi sewn onto the strap loops is placed underneath.
The; Crampons are attached to the leg in such a way that the two fork-shaped double tips g are directed inwards, that is to say in the position of use against the tree, etc. These tips are expediently made of steel and welded onto the flat iron at a precisely tried angle. The upper tips are advantageously 5 cm long, the lower 4 cm long. When climbing a building with two such climbing irons, the double peaks penetrate the tree under the effect of the body weight and thus guarantee the body a safe support.
