Device for displaying the position of a line switch. In many cases it is common not to operate the line switches, especially the oil switches, of a central or substation directly, but rather by remote control, be it that the operating officer should remain away from the high voltage in the network, be it that spatially distributed switching devices should be operated from a common command post. In order to enable reliable monitoring of the switching devices, display devices are usually provided which show the position of the various switches and the like at the command post.
It can happen that the command post closes the oil switch on a line in which there is a short circuit. Then the overcurrent relay or any other line protection relay provided for this purpose can respond and open the oil switch again before the display device has had time to display its final position in the commuting point. In such cases, nothing can be further recognized here than that the oil switch has not followed the switch-on command.
Repetitions of the command can lead to dangerous heating of the oil switch and other important parts. To remedy this, drop flaps can be arranged in the command center, which are triggered immediately by the line protection relay. In the case of larger systems, however, this means an accumulation of signal devices and signal lines, an inconvenience which the invention is intended to remedy.
The invention is based on the idea that the response of a line protection relay is a sure sign that the line switch, if not completely, was closed to such an extent that the faulty line in question received power.
For this reason, according to the invention, the display instrument of the device, which indicates the position of the line switch, in particular an oil switch that can be triggered by a line protection relay, can be operated not only by the line protection relay itself, but also by the line protection relay. Since it is achieved by -that the message from the switch-on process and the automatic switch-off can reach the command post without special display devices and signal lines being required to be provided.
The invention is particularly useful in remote control systems in which the oil switches are to be operated from a great distance by means of a limited number of command and feedback lines. For an embodiment of the inven tion, the drawing gives a circuit diagram. Switching devices which are arranged in an auxiliary unit N are to be operated from a main unit H. Both points are connected to one another by trunk lines 13 and 14. The long-distance line 13 connects the pivot points of two contact arms 15, 16. These run over contact discs 17 and 18 in such a way that they touch two contacts corresponding to one another at the same time each time.
For this purpose, some devices are provided that ensure the synchronization of the two arms, but need not be shown here. Of the switching devices present in the auxiliary station N, the control device for an oil switch is shown as an example, on the shaft 1 of which the armature lever 2 is keyed. If the 01 sclialter is to be actuated, a command switch 1.9 is applied to one of its two contacts 2E1 and 21 in the main unit 11.
The command switch 19 is connected to the contact 23 of the disk 17 by a line 22. The corresponding contact on the disc 18 is marked with 24 be. If, for example, the oil switch is to be switched on, the control lever 19 is placed on the contact 20. Then a current flows from the positive pole of the power source 25 via the lines 26 and 27, the contact 20, command switch 19, Lei device 22, contact 23, contact arm 15, long-distance line 13, contact arm 16, contact 24 over the winding 29 of a polarized Relay and lines 30 and 14 back to the zero point of power source 25.
The winding 29 of the polarized relay receives a positive current surge; As a result, the contact tongue 8 of this relay is placed on its contact 31. The contact tongue 8 is connected to the neutral conductor 10 of a battery 9 via various windings, which are described further below. As soon as it touches the contact 31, an elec tromagnet 3 receives a current surge from the positive line 11 of the battery and pulls the armature lever 2 against the course of the Fe of 4 in the position shown.
At the kerhebel 2 is keyed on the shaft 1 of the oil switch to be controlled. As soon as the contact arms 15 and 16 have left the contacts 23 and 24, the contact tongue 8 returns to its neutral position and the electromagnet 3 becomes de-energized again. The armature lever 2, however, remains in its position because its nose 6 rests against a locking lever 5. If the oil switch is to be switched off again, the command switch 19 is turned against its second contact 21, which is connected to the negative pole of the power source 25 through the lines 28 and 33.
Then when the contact arms 15 and 16 touch their con tacts 23 and 24 again, the winding 29 of the polarized relay receives a nega tive current surge. The contact tongue 8 is consequently placed on the contact 32, from which a line 34 leads to the electromag designated 7. This is excited and pulls the pawl 5 back from its locking position so that the spring 1 pulls the armature lever 2 back into the disengaged position.
A switch 35 is connected to the armature lever 2 by a connecting rod 63. When the armature lever 2 is in the on position, the lever 35 is on its contact 3, 6, in the off position on a 7, wide contact 37. In the on position shown, the positive pole of the power source 9 is via the lines 11 and 38, the contact 36, the switch 35 and the line 39 are connected to a contact 41 of the contact disk 18. This contact corresponds to the contact 40 on the contact disk 17.
As soon as the two con tact arms have reached these contacts, a connection is established via the two contact arms and the trunk line 13 to a polarized relay 42 which controls a display instrument 43. This shows the operator whether the oil switch in the auxiliary unit is in the on or off position. The current flowing through the polarized relay 42 is closed via the line 64 and the long-distance line 14.
If the oil switch is not in the switched-on position, as shown, but in the switched-off position, the switch 35 is in the dotted position on a contact 37, which is connected to the negative pole of the power source 9 via a switch 44 and a contact 45 is connected. The polarized relay 42 thus receives a negative current surge and converts the display instrument 43 to the position that indicates the off switching position.
If the contact arms 15 and 16 do not rotate too slowly, the currents that are sent via the individual contacts of this contact disk are surges. relatively short. However, it is desirable to have a somewhat longer time available for larger movements, such as switching on an oil switch. For this reason, the polarized relay 29 has a holding winding 46. As soon as the contact tongue 8 is applied to the contact 31 or the con tact 32, the zero point of the power source 9 is connected to the holding winding 46 via the lines 10 and 30. From here the connection continues via the heating coil 47 of a bimetallic spring 48 and a circuit breaker 49 to the contact tongue B.
The holding winding 46 thus receives current, namely from the positive pole of the power source when the contact tongue 8 is on contact 31, and from the negative pole of the power source when it is on contact 32. The holding winding holds the contact tongue in one position or the other until the bimetallic spring is heated so much by the heating effect of the winding 47 that it bends and the switch 49 opens. Only then does the contact tongue 8 go back to the zero position and the magnet 3 respectively. the release magnet 7 is de-energized.
The power line is indicated by one of its phases 50. From the Stromwand ler 51, the overcurrent relay 52 is fed. As soon as overcurrent occurs in the line, for example as a result of a short circuit, the overcurrent relay 52 attracts its armature 53 and closes a contact 54 which is electrically connected to a magnet winding 55 a related party. From this the line 56 leads to the tripping magnet 7. This is consequently excited and opens the oil switch.
At the same time, the magnet winding 55 is excited. Its purpose is to indicate to the main station when the oil switch has been switched to a short circuit, even if it is thrown out again by the overcurrent relay so quickly that the switch 35 either does not reach contact 36 or moves away from it again before the both contact arms, the associated con tacts 40 and 41 have reached. The device then works as follows: The armature lever 2 is not in the ge position, but in the off position and the lever 35 is in the punk-oriented position on contact 37. The display instrument 43 at the main unit shows the off position.
By flipping the command lever 19, the switch-on electromagnet receives 3 as soon as the contact arms have reached the contacts 23 and 24, current and pulls the: armature lever 2 into the position shown. At the same moment, however, the overcurrent relay 52 responds as a result of the short circuit in the line 50 and actuates the locking lever 5 so that the armature mist 2 immediately returns to the switch-off position as soon as the magnet 3 is de-energized again. When the contact arms 15 and 16 reach the display contacts 40 and 41, the lever 35 is already on contact 37 again.
This contact is now not, as usual, on the negative pole of the current source 9, but on the positive pole. Because through the con tact 54 of the overcurrent magnet 52, the magnet winding 55 has received electricity and the switch 44 is placed on the contact 57, which is connected to the positive pole. With the fulcrum of the switch 44 a holding winding 58 is also verbun, from which a line leads to the switch 59 and via the heating winding 60 of a bimetal spring 61 to the negative pole of the power source 9. The holding coil 58 holds the switch 44 in place until the arms 15 and 16 have reached the indicator contacts 40 and 41.
At this moment, the display instrument 43 receives a positive current impulse via the contact 57 of the switch 44, that is, the current direction that shifts the display instrument into the position corresponding to the switch closed position. From this, the main body recognizes with certainty that the oil switch had switched on line 50. But as soon as the bimetal rod has warmed up and has curved so far that it opens the switch 59, the holding winding 58 is de-energized and the switch 44 returns to its rest position on the contact 45.
During the next rotation of the contact arms 15 and 16, the display instrument 43 receives the negative current surge again via the contact 45, so that the main body can see that the oil switch has been triggered again immediately. So that the holding coil 46 cannot hold the armature lever 2 too long by the electromagnet 3, it can be advantageous to lead its holding circuit via a contact that is on the contact lever 53 of the overcurrent magnet 52 and opens the holding circuit immediately in the event of overcurrent . This circuit is not shown in the drawing in order not to make the circuit diagram too confusing.
In the cited embodiment, the switch 44 is held by a holding winding 58 for a certain time in the switching position. This time must be dimensioned so long that it is sufficient to operate the display instrument 43 reliably. Instead of using a delay device that works for a certain period of time independently of the other processes, the switch 44 can also be left in the switchover position until the contact arms have reached the display contacts 40 and 41.
For example, the switch 44 can be brought back into the rest position shown by the display current that has arisen or also mechanically by the contact arm 16.
