Description
Totmannvorrichtung an elektrisch betriebenen Fahrzeugen. Bei einmännig bedienten, elektrisch be triebenen Strassenbahnwagen, zum Beispiel mit Totmannvorrichtung, welche beispiels weise eine bei Loslassen der Fahrkurbel die Kontrollerwalze in eine Bremsstellung zurück drehende Rückstellvorrichtung aufweist, wird unter Umständen verlangt, dass der Wagen führer bei stillstehendem Wagen die Fahr kurbel loslassen darf, ohne dass dadurch die Totmannvorrichtung zur Auslösung kommt.
Jede direkte Verriegelungsmöglichkeit der Totmannvorrichtung muss aber verhindert werden, weil dadurch die Gefahr entsteht, dass der Wagenführer sich während des Fahrens dieser bedient, um sich zu entlasten, und dadurch die Sieherheit des Betriebes verringert. Erfindungsgemäss wird die Verriegelung der Totmannvorrichtung durch das Anziehen einer mechanischen Bremse des Fahrzeuges (Handbremse, Luftbremse und so weiter) be werkstelligt, so dass also bei angezogener, mechanischer Bremse die Totmannvorrichtung nicht zur Wirkung kommt.

Any possibility of direct locking of the dead man's device must be prevented, however, because this creates the risk that the driver will use it while driving in order to relieve himself and thereby reduce the safety of the operation. According to the invention, the dead man's device is locked by applying a mechanical brake on the vehicle (handbrake, air brake and so on) so that the dead man's device does not come into effect when the mechanical brake is applied.
