Movable device for the determination of insulation faults, preferably on railway lines. In order to find the location of an insulation fault on freely laid lines, preferably on railway lines, a device can be used in which an induction coil can be seen on a carriage that contains a display device for the fault location. is moved along the line.
The winding surfaces of the coil are perpendicular; for line alignment, so that only at the point of the fault does the fault current flowing through the suspension wire, which generates a high voltage source carried on the same carriage, have an inductive effect on the coil. This method does not work with all types of isolation filters slightly good.
It works best if there is a spark transition at the point of failure, but it does not work better if the insulation resistance is bridged by a conductor that allows continuous flow of electricity.
This is based on the fact that 'in the event of a spark transition, due to the discharge of the conductors, 1-, large amounts of electricity are moved apaziUt across the spark gap, while when bridging the fault location, for example, a constant current, but of much lower amplitude arises, which flows in the display device for the induction, for example a telephone, has little effect.
The present invention relates to a mobile device which uses the inductive effect that a fault current produced by a test voltage source exerts on an induction coil of a display device to find the location of an insulation fault.
According to the invention, the device is made sensitive to all types of insulation faults in that a spark gap is also inserted into the fault circuit, so that the fault current is an intermittent current in each case. Furthermore, a special capacitor can be provided which discharges when the additional spark gap is triggered and supplies the current strength required for a good display.
This capacitor is in series with the additional spark gap so that a short circuit of the additional capacitance due to a fault in the insulation is excluded.
Fig. 1 shows a schematic representation of the circuit of an embodiment of the invention. The line strings 11 to be examined and switched off on both sides have an insulation field at point 12, and the bridging of this insulation should act like an ohmic resistance. This is indicated by a connection 13 with the point on earth 14.
is labeled Der 15 Wagen. To start it off, it contains a section of AC voltage source 17 which feeds a high-voltage transformer 18 via a current crossing resistor 19 .
A capacitor 115 is connected to its high-voltage terminals 110 and 111 and a spark gap 116 separates the transformer terminal 111 from a sliding or roller contact 16 touching the contact wire 11 , while the transformer # rklemme- 110 with the saw body, that is, connected to the earth.
The capacitor 115 can discharge via the spark gap 116 as soon as the field circuit is closed by the occurrence of a connection between 12 and 14. It is not necessary for this connection to be made through an ohmic resistor, but rather. there can also be a funnel line for the connection 13 .
This spark gap is then connected in series with the additional spark gap 116 . In each case, there is an intermittent fault current, fed by the charge of the capacitor 115 , which is clearly displayed in 114.
Due to the necessary level of the test voltage, however, working with the device described is made more difficult, as in the induction coil 112, which is influenced by the lines of force of the fault current, is intended to excite the display device, for example a telephone, in addition to the magnetic field also always the ele # l #: tro, # "tatiselie field, the lines, the strength of which corresponds to the high surge voltages occurring during the test procedure, comes into effect.
This is disruptive for the measurement because the electrostatic field does not have a pronounced maximum effect at the point of failure like the electromagnetic field, but has its smallest influence around the point of failure. The covering of the two effects makes it difficult to find the fault location.
This disadvantage can be eliminated in that the induction coil is provided with a known protection device against static effects, in which it is provided with an insulated wire which grounded at one end, wrapped around it.
Fig. 2 shows, for example, the arrangement in a schematic representation. The induction coil 21, to Jer, preferably via an amplifier device 22 as a display device, a telephone 23 is wrapped with an insulated wire 24, which in the exemplary embodiment has one end at 25 </ B> is grounded.
