Fig. 1 zeigt das Sägerohr, teilweise im Schnitt eines ersten Ausführungsbeispiels mit einer innerhalb desselben geführten Harpune; Fig. 2 ist eine Ansicht des Sägerohr-Vor- derendes und der Harpune in grösserem Mass stabe desselben Ausführungsbeispiels; Fig. 3 zeigt das Vorderende einer durch eine Bohrerspindel gebildete Einzelheit eines zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels, die in manchen Fällen statt der Harpune anwendbar ist; Fig. 4 ist ein Aufriss einer dritten Aus führungsform, in deren Sägerohr eine mit einem Messer versehene Spindel gelagert ist;
Veterinary device for embryotomy. The present invention is a veterinary device for embryotomy. The same is used for destroying and removing the fetus in difficult births in order to preserve the mother.
In order to do the preparatory work for such removal of the fetus, a kind of center bolir with a leading drill point has been used, with which one aimed in particular at crushing and dismembering the spine and surrounding it, in accordance with the progress of the drill in the spinal lianal, and with arduous, time-consuming work.
The extraction respectively. Cutting out larger coherent body masses from the fetus in order to reduce its size is not possible with such drill-like tools. A saw pipe, that is to say a pipe whose front edge is provided with saw teeth, has therefore been used for this purpose.
The present veterinary instrument now has a sawing tube which is toothed on the front face and which has handles on the rear end for rotating the same and is intended to receive the cylindrically sawn material.
In the drawing several Ausfüh approximately examples of the subject invention are shown, and a detail of such.
Fig. 1 shows the saw pipe, partially in section, of a first embodiment with a harpoon guided inside the same; Fig. 2 is a view of the saw pipe front end and the harpoon on a larger scale rod of the same embodiment; Fig. 3 shows the front end of a detail formed by a drill spindle of a second embodiment which in some cases can be used instead of the harpoon; Fig. 4 is an elevation of a third imple mentation form in whose saw tube a spindle provided with a knife is mounted;
FIG. 5 shows, on a larger scale, the saw pipe front end and the spindle tip with the knife of the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4 opened on it, and FIG. 6 is a plan view of FIG.
In the example of FIGS. 1 and 2 be characterized a. a wide, approximately cylindrical, elongated saw tube, open on both sides, with saw teeth a1 mounted on one end face, for the purpose of making a circular saw cut, with the sawed body mass being absorbed by the saw tube. The pipe is slightly tapered towards the front end (Fug. 2) in order to move forward more easily when propelling. The saw pipe a. has two handles at the rear end for rotation b.
To get the saw tube a. An inner guide spindle with a harpoon-shaped, cranked front end 7t1, shaft k, detachable handle g and pulling eye o at the rear end, as well as a sleeve that can be slid on the shaft lt and in the saw tube a are required to guide it and give it a counter-hold d with end flanges f in front of.
The sleeve d gives the shaft lt of the guide spindle and the flanges f give the saw tube a the correct guidance; the sleeve can move freely in the pipe a when the body absorbed by the saw pipe presses permasse on the front flanges f.
The harpoon-shaped end hl of the guide spindle has an arrowhead cutting edge i with a pointed barb extension j.
The mode of use and operation of the described embodiment of the veterinary device is as follows in the case of a posterior end of a fruit that is too large: The harpoon-like end 7t1 of the guide spindle is inserted into the posterior part of the spindle after cutting through the skin and muscle parts lying in the way Fruit pierced beneath the pelvic floor, with barbs pointing towards the ventral side j. When the tip has penetrated into the abdominal cavity, the guide spindle is rotated 180, the counter hook j is therefore directed upwards.
By lifting it up, it is then withdrawn so that the barb j attaches itself to the pubic bone or to the front edge of the iliac in front of the joint socket or otherwise to the pelvis. Then, with the handle g of the guide spindle removed, the saw pipe a is pushed over this and its flanges f, while a traction means guided through the bore o is attached to the rear end of the guide spindle. Now the sawing is done by turning the sawing tube a clockwise and propelling it against the counter-hold created by the harpoon-like end 7t1 of the guide spindle.
In this way, by cutting a body mass to a depth of about twenty centimeters, the corresponding parts are loosened all around and taken up from the inside of the saw tube; you can then with. The same pulled out without further ado, since the bony connection with the pelvis is canceled.
The application of the described Ge advises proves to be useful in other cases, where it is important to create a counter-hold and at the same time a directional guidance when driving the saw.
Instead of a single barb, several such hooks can be attached to the harpoon-like end of the guide spindle.
In the example according to FIG. 3, the front end of the guide spindle is designed as a drill: j- which is intended to be drilled into the fetal body in order to provide the guide spindle with the necessary counter-hold.
In the embodiment of the veterinary device shown in FIGS. 4 to G, a displaceable and at the same time rotatable protective sleeve c is pushed onto the front end of the saw tube a, which serves to temporarily, namely when attaching and prior handling the instrument To cover the saw toothing a1, thereby avoiding damage to the dam @.
The protective sleeve e has a helical guide groove it into which a pin v attached to the saw tube a engages. When the protective sleeve e is pushed over the front end of the saw tube, the pin is initially guided in the short, axial slot 2c1 of the sleeve,
whereupon the sleeve rotates to the left and thereby its front edge reaches behind the toothing a1 of the saw tube a (extended position in Fig. 5j. When the saw tube a is turned to the left, the protective sleeve e retained by hand is then inserted into the one shown in FIG The position indicated by dashed lines is advanced so that it covers the saw edge and protects the surroundings from damage.
When the saw tube is rotated in the sawing direction, the sleeve e is automatically pushed back and the saw teeth are exposed.
The shaft 1a forming the guide and counter-holding spindle also has a removable handle 9 and also has a hole o serving as a pulling eye; it is designed to be inserted into the spinal canal of the fetus.
Behind the front end of the guide spindle this carries a hook knife with a slightly bent tip that can be opened around a hinge c. This embodiment is suitable for use in the case where the spine of the fetus together with the all around t -inh ", -end wants to extract body mass.
Before the saw pipe is put in place for use, the veterinarian has to push the guide spindle Ir. 1i 'into the spinal canal of the fetus, which is either the rear side or the head end freely occupied for the operation. This first fixes the directional position of the cylindrical saw cut around the spine. The pushing in of the guide spindle is not prevented by the knife in its folded position (Fig. 1).
The bent tip of the knife forms a twist against being pulled back. After the advance up to the desired limit position has taken place, the knife 7n is directed to when it is withdrawn and forms a resistance in this position (FIG. 5).
After the guide spindle 1a, 1a 'has been pushed in and the handle g has been removed, the saw pipe a is placed on the guide spindle and on the body of the oil and moved forward by means of the handle b. When the '#, Ä.gerrohres is attached, the protective sleeve e first assumes the front position shown in dashed lines in FIG. 5.
The saw toothing becomes free when the saw pipe is turned clockwise and cuts out a cylindrically delimited core around the spine, while the guide spindle h, 1a 'serves as a counterhold, which slides into the inside of the pipe as the saw progresses. The bony processes around the vertebral acid are also cut off.
When the saw has progressed to the desired point and now the detached core mass that surrounds the spine and which is now in the saw pipe a. is taken up, is to be removed with the same, the guide spindle 1z, h 'is rotated so that the erected knife na (Fig. 5) exerts its cutting effect.
As a result, the spine is cut transversely without great effort, and it can be promoted to the outside after the separated cylindrical Kernstücl @ by continuing to tighten the guide spindle h, h 'together with the saw pipe a.
The knife in. Is arranged interchangeably on the pin of the hinge c in order to be able to replace it with a larger or smaller one, according to the pipe size.
