Method and device for the production of a high-quality gas similar to luminous gas. The invention relates to a method to generate a high quality gas similar to the illuminating gas in a water gas generator system, a smoldering retort and a fixing chamber, the hot-blown gases produced in the generator for desulphurization of coal in a smoldering retort and for fixing the smoldering vapors in the Fixing chamber can be used.
In the so-called complete gasification of coal, a similar goal has been pursued, albeit in vain. Here, a water gas generator was used with a smoldering shaft arranged above it, the latter for receiving the fresh coal, while the generator received the fuel, which was desolated by means of hot water gas. The lower shaft (generator) thus produced water gas with a low calorific value, while carbon gas with a high calorific value was produced in the smoldering shaft above.
The mixture of the two gases showed after removal of the condensable original tar or. Smoldering vapors have a calorific value of around 3200 WE. A higher calorific value of the mixed gas cannot be achieved in such a way if one disregards the utilization of the primordial tar vapors for the gas process, since the ratio between the amount of the water gas generated in the lower shaft and the carbonization gas developed in the smoldering shaft is a is very specific.
However, a gas with a calorific value of 3200 WE cannot be considered a full replacement for the luminous gas with 4-5000 WE '. Attempts have also been made to increase the calorific value of the mixed gas obtained by completely gasifying the coal by withdrawing part of the coke, which is otherwise converted into water gas, from the shaft. This measure changes the ratio between water gas with a low calorific value and carbonisation gas with a high calorific value, in that less coke is available for water gas formation.
The calorific value of the resulting mixed gas is increased when the coke is withdrawn, but the amount of gas that is generated in the same apparatus (generator and smoldering shaft) is reduced because relatively less water gas is produced.
If you want to increase the calorific value of the mixed gas by drawing off coke from a generator system, a relatively larger generator is required to generate the same amount of gas. In addition, drawing off the coke is structurally difficult, so that it is hardly likely to be used in practice.
In addition, due to the reduced production of water gas caused by the removal of the coke (which must provide the degassing heat for the smoldering shaft), the good de-smoldering of the coal is in question.
The present invention enables the calorific value to be increased without reducing the amount of mixed gas while making extensive use of the hot blowing gases that are no longer required when blowing the water gas generator, whereby a high-quality gas similar to coal is produced by being in a gene rator, which has a smoldering shaft, smoldering coal, produces water gas from the resulting coli,
the mixture of carbonization gas and water gas together with carbonization gas generated in a further carbonization retort is fixed in a fixing chamber which is heated by the hot blower gases from the generator and which emits the heat for operating the carbonization sites, with coke being deposited in the carbonization retort forms. In such a way, a luminous gas-like gas with a calorific value of 5000 WE and more can be obtained, depending on the amount of coke removed from the additional smoldering coke.
According to the above, the fixing chamber heated with the hot-blowing gases and the water gas process has the double function of heating the additional smoldering cave and fixing the smoldering vapors.
To increase the economic efficiency of such a system, the combustion gases resulting from the heating of the heat accumulator can be used to generate the steam required for water gas formation in one of the boiler connected to the system. The coke produced in the additional swell retort still has a high level of inherent heat after passing through the part of the retort that is in the heating zone.
To obtain this and at the same time to keep the coke in a cooled state, the retort can be extended downwards and this piece protruding from the fixing chamber can be surrounded with a water jacket. This water jacket, which is connected to the steam boiler, removes its own heat from the coca.
The drawing shows a device suitable for implementing the method according to the invention. It shows a section through (leii water gas generator with Schw (Ischarht, the fixation chamber with additional retort and the waste heat steam boiler.
a denotes the tVasserbasgenerittor filled with coke, b the smoldering retort above it for the fresh fuel, and c a double closure for charging the catfish eye. The C # blower d supplies the wind required for hot blowing the coke column in the generator ca.
When the slide f is open, the nozzle e on the side of the G: _nerator feeds the ice bladder; @ase of the fixation chamber g. Before this takes place through the pipe l. the admixture of secondary air required for combustion.
When the slide 1 is open, the combustion gases are fed through the connection piece to the gas valve and further to the chimney. zugt- @ fiilirt. An additional smoldering retort a is arranged in the fixing chamber g, which protrudes downward beyond the fixing chamber fi. This over-. The protruding part of the smoldering retort is provided with a water jacket o.
At the top the retort has the filling device p and at the bottom end the device line q for drawing off the coke. The smoldering shaft b has at the top di.e gas outlet r and the additional smoldering retort -ii, gas outlet s, both of which are connected to the fixing chamber g through the confluence t.
A shut-off pipe w branches off from the gas discharge lines i and s, from which the smoldering that develops in the smoldering shaft b and the smoldering retort n, when the mouth t is closed, i.e. during the hot-blowing of the C enerator, is branched off.
The useful gases flowing from the @ch -elschacht b and the smoldering retort n after they have been fixed in the fixation chamber are discharged through the nozzle u with .11 locking device. The water jacket o communicates with the waste heat boiler 1 through the connecting line v.
The method according to the invention can be carried out in the device shown as follows: The water gas process is known to break down: borrowed into two periods, namely the about 1 - Z minute lasting fleissblaseperiod, during which wind is blown into the generator and the approximately . five-minute gas period, during which steam is saturated or superheated, is fed to the generator to produce water gas.
The water gas generator a with the smoldering shaft b arranged above it is charged through the double lock c. In generator a there is coke, originating from the coal degassed in smoldering shaft b. The smoldering shaft b itself contains the fresh coal. The water gas generator a is blown hot by the wind blower d. The resulting hot-blown gases, which still contain about 10% carbon oxide, are fed to the fixing chamber rg through the connector e and the open slide f.
Secondary air is added to the blowing gases through the pipe la, so that the hot blowing gases are completely burned in the fixing chamber. The temperature of the hot blower gases, which is about 600 C when leaving the generator, increases to 900 to 1000 C due to the combustion of the carbon dioxide, etc. By passing the bubble gases through and burning them in the fixing chamber g, the stone lattice is located therein , as well as the addition retort n heated.
In the further process, the connecting gases pass through the nozzle i when the. Slide k for waste heat, steam boiler 1, in which the sensible heat of the combustion gases is used to generate steam. Through the Ka min m, the hot-blown gases cooled in the boiler become. Feed water preheater or directly outside. After the water gas generator a has been heated as described above, the slides f and k are closed and steam, saturated or superheated, is introduced into the generator a below.
The resulting water gas flows through the Schwelschacht b, whereby the fresh coal in it is removed. The resulting carbonization gas, mixed with the water gas, leaves the top of the carbonization shaft b through the pipe r. The additional charcoal cake n arranged in the heated fixing chamber g receives fresh coal.
This charcoal is de-smoldered by the external heating of the retort n. The carbonization gases leave the retort through the pipe s and are passed through the heated lattice work of the fixing chamber g together with the mixed gas exiting the mixed coal gas generator through the pipe r.
This fixes the tar and smoldering vapors carried along by the mixed gas and the carbonization gas. The fixed useful gas is fed to the point of use or the cooling apparatus through the nozzle u.
The smoldering gases, which form during the hot-blowing period of the Waeser gas generator a, i.e. when the exhaustion t is closed in the smoldering shaft b and the additional smoldering cave n, are usably discharged through the pipe w.
From time to time coke is withdrawn from the lower end of the retort and fresh coal is poured in through the closure p at the top. The fixation chamber can contain several instead of one smoldering retort. Special devices can be used to ensure that the retort is loaded and emptied continuously.
