Gas thread cutting and parting machine.
The present invention is a gas thread cutting and cutting machine.
The new thing about the machine according to
Invention is that the main spindle intended for carrying the tools as
Hollow body is formed and at the same time executes a rotating cutting movement and a feed movement in the axial direction, while the workpiece is clamped in a vice fixed on the machine.
Thanks to this arrangement, the work piece can be clamped stably, so that a precise and clean thread results, and already bent work pieces, for example gas pipes, can be easily clamped and cut, which is at
Machines with rotating workpiece is not possible.
The machine can be driven either by hand or by motorized power, with the axial advance being able to be done by hand or automatically and automatically.
An example embodiment of the machine is shown in the drawing, namely shows:
Fig. 1 is a side view of the same without the machine frame;

VII-VII in Figure 5;
Fig. 8 shows a larger scale
Front view of the cutting body, and
9 shows a side view of the same in the same axial section with a partial axial section;
10 and 11 show detailed sections of the cutting body on an even larger scale.
I is the machine frame, of which only the uppermost part is drawn, as well as the entire gear, which does not belong to the invention and is unnecessary to explain it, has been omitted. 2 is the headstock fastened to the machine frame, in which the main spindle 3, designed as a hollow cylinder, is rotatably and axially displaceably mounted; at the inner end of the latter sits the Sehneidkorper 4, which is designed in a known manner as a four-jaw head. Opposite the cutting head, the vice 5 is arranged on the spindle stoekplatte so that it can be longitudinally displaced and clamped.
To drive the main spindle 3, a shaft 6 is mounted transversely to this in the headstock 9, which shaft drives a worm shaft 9 mounted parallel to the former via spur gears 7 and 8.
The screw 10 firmly wedged on this engages a worm wheel 11 which is longitudinally displaceable on the main spindle and which is screwed to the wedge 14 sliding in the groove 13 of the main spindle 3 and thus rotates with the main spindle. The axial pressure of the screw is absorbed by ball bearings, and the gearbox runs in an oil bath. The shaft 6 is normally driven by a motor through a clutch and speed change gear (not shown), but it can also be done manually by means of the adjustable hand crank 15 detachably attached to the front end.
To Be actuate the Axialvorsdiubes the main spindle 3 by hand, a shaft 16 is mounted transversely to this in the headstock, on which two upstanding arms 17 are wedged, at the free ends of which engage jaws 18 in an annular groove 19 of the main spindle 3. On the protruding free end of the shaft 16, an adjusting lever 20 is placed, by pivoting the main spindle can be moved axially.
By means of an adjusting screw 31 passing through a circular slot of the adjusting lever 20, the latter, and with it the main spindle 3 for parting, can be fixed in a specific axial position. For the automatic execution of the axial feed, a bracket 22 is attached to the end face of the headstock 2, in which a vertically displaceable bolt 23 is mounted secured against rotation.
The upper end of the bolt 3 is formed into a threaded jaw 24 which, in the position shown, engages with its thread in the threads of a threaded cartridge 28 attached to the main spindle 3 with the same pitch as the thread to be cut. An eccentric shaft 25 mounted transversely to the same in the bracket 22 passes through the lower end of the bolt 23, on one end of which an adjusting lever 26 is placed, which can be locked in two end positions by means of an adjusting pin 27 that snaps into notches.
When the adjusting lever 26 is pivoted upwards from the position shown in FIG. 1, the bolt 23 lowers and the threaded jaw 24 disengages from the threaded cartridge 28, so that. the main spindle can be freely moved axially again.
The cutting head 4 is designed in a known manner in that, as shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, four cutting jaws 29 are mounted on one another in a four-cornered cavity of the round cutting head housing with inclined planes, in this way. that when moving a single jaw by turning the spindle 30 with a square end, which is mounted in the housing and engages a butter fixed on the respective jaw, all jaws are shifted so that they approach the center depending on the direction of rotation or remove from it. A non-threaded steel 33 (FIGS. 8 and 11) is fastened to the inner edge of each jaw by means of screws 31 and clamping strip 32. For thread cutting the jaws are respectively.
Cutting steels adjusted by means of a key placed on the square of the spindle 30. For parting off, two thread cutting tools are removed and two parting tools 34 are fastened to the jaws in the same way as the thread cutting tools for parting off pipes of smaller diameter (with such a large diameter a single steel is sufficient) (Fig .
10). In order to generate the cutting feed of the stall, a ratchet wheel 35 is placed on the square of the spindle 30, which when the axial setting is correct
Main spindle 3 on a pin 36 attached to the Maschinenge alternately comes across (Fig. L and 5), and with each revolution of the main spindle is switched to a tooth, where by the BEZW. advance the parting tools accordingly; after parting is complete, the same are turned back by hand.
The vice 5, which is on the
