Künstlicher Zahn. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist ein künstlicher Zahn, welcher eine dünne Porzellanfazette besitzt, die mit breiter, im Querschnitt schwalbenschwanzartiger, in der Längsrichtung des Zahnes verlaufender Rille auf der Rückseite versehen und mit einem dieser angepassten und zur Befestigung des künstlichen Zahnes an Kautschukprotesen mit einem schmalen Metallstreifen mit Wi derhaken zur Verankerung im Kautschuk versehenen Metallplättchen verbunden ist, welch letzteres auf der Vorderseite von der Porzellanfazette vollständig verdeckt ist.
Die Anwendung des Erfindungsgegen standes ist in erster Linie für die sogenann ten Schneidezähne gedacht, bei denen wegen ihrer geringen Stärke Stifte zum Befestigen selten benutzt werden können. Da diese Stifte meistens aus Gold oder Platin beste hen, so ist der Erfindungsgegenstand, auch billiger in der Herstellung, da sein Metall plättchen aus unedlem Metall angefertigt sein kann. Dieses wird auf der Vorderseite vollständig von der Porzellanfazette ver deckt, so dass der Eindruck eines natür lichen Zahnes entsteht, um so mehr, als die Rückseite der Fazette oder der Verbindungs kitt jede Färbung erhalten kann, die eine Abweichung des künstlichen- von den vor handenen natürlichen Zähnen nicht erken nen lässt.
Auch die unnatürlich aussehende und wenig widerstandsfähige, aber teure Fassung der Zahnschneide in Metall ist nicht mehr erforderlich, da die besondere Verbindung von Fazette mit Plättchen voll ständig genügt.
