Procedure to prevent impermissible voltage conditions in switched-off power supply units. If any switch in the network fails, the voltage in the switched-off power supply usually collapses, since there is no longer enough magnetization energy available to maintain the fields of the machines and devices.
The situation is different if machines and devices generating reactive power are connected to the switched-off power supply unit, because then the voltage is maintained by this reactive power generation, and the switched-off power supply unit remains in operation under the conditions given for it in the active and reactive power balance, This means that the constant, permanent voltage couples all machines and devices and creates a balance between active and reactive power, so that the machines of the switched-off power supply unit usually come to a standstill with a slow decrease in voltage and frequency. This can result in
that when the failed switch leading to the power plant is reinserted, there is still a certain voltage in the switched-off power supply unit and the voltage releases in it have not yet responded. But since the machines are now at a fraction of the synchronous speed. have sunk, .this means putting the power switch back on. a more or less complete short circuit.
Even if the frequency has not decreased significantly or not at all due to the generation of active power in the switched-off power supply unit, for example by an existing larger motor, switching it on again can be dangerous if the connected voltages are in opposite phase positions. The situation becomes even more uncomfortable if the switched-off network part works with excess reactive power at the moment it is switched off and the unused reactive power has to take effect.
that through higher magnetization of all connected machines and devices they produce a considerable increase in voltage in the separate power supply unit. For the safety of the systems it is absolutely necessary to prevent these undesirable processes automatically.
According to the invention, prevention of these inadmissible voltage states in the -switched power supply with reactive power generation is to be achieved in that the reactive power output of the reactive power generator is automatically activated after switching off. closes.
The figures show examples of the invention. In the A11. 1 feeds mains switch 1 to a busbar system to which, in addition to a number of normal consumers 3, a reactive power machine 1, in this case a synchronous motor, is connected.
If the connection with your power station is interrupted by the failure of switch 1, its auxiliary contact 5 () '(- opens. The voltage coil of the contactor 6 is de-energized, and the resistor 7 is automatically activated by the contactor armature dropping out into the excitation circuit of synchronous motor 1 switched.
Its excitation is weakened so much that an increase in voltage in the switched-off power supply unit is no longer to be feared, or even to such an extent that the voltage in the busbars -) drops so much that all voltage releases in the switched-off network respond immediately.
Another example is shown in Fig.?. According to this figure, the Ilocbsli <in 1intigssbusbarsystem 22 is fed via the mains switch 1;
In addition to a number of consumers 3, a transformer 8 is connected to this system, which generates the low voltage required for operation. In the low-voltage consumer circuit there are a number of motor consumers 9 and a lighting system 10;
Furthermore, to compensate for the blind line consumption of the low-voltage motors 9, a capacitor 11 is required.

Since this rule set is coupled with a flywheel 24 and emits reactive power to the network through overexcitation of the Eina.nkerumformers 21, it is particularly suitable for keeping the switched off power supply 2 with all other loads 3 in operation for a longer time if the power switch 1 fails to keep. Since, in any case, a reduction in the speed of the control set 20, 2 2 must occur due to the power requirement of the consumer 3, this speed reduction can be used to destroy the voltage.
The easiest way to do this is by using an Iliehkraftschalter, the switch 23 ejects when the speed falls below a certain speed by operating the voltage coil 25. Since the frequency generated in front of the rule set 20/22 is proportional to this speed, all the positions of the centrifugal switch 26 can also be used by a frequency relay 27,
that measures the frequency of the busbars 2 and when it drops, the shutdown of the rule set 20/22 which generates active and reactive power can be effected with any accuracy. Finally, the changes in the reactive and active power distribution in the switched-off power supply unit, in particular the changes in the direction of the reactive and active power flows, can be used to trigger the restriction of reactive power generation. .
In Fig. 5, two busbar systems 28 and 29 are shown, which are connected to one another via a coupling switch 30. To the busbars 29, a drive motor 31 is connected, which is forced by a three-phase exciter 32 to generate considerable reactive power.
On the same busbars 29 hangs (-in another drive motor 33, which is connected to a flywheel 34 and dureli a three-phase exciter 35 is also brought ge to generate reactive power, but which is much less than that of the machine 31. In part 36 of the busbars 29 designed the power distribution according to the arrows 37. This is because active power (dashed arrow) flows from switch 30 to machine 33 and reactive power (solid arrow) flows from machine 33 to switch 30.
The reactive power output by the machine 33 and the machine 31 via the switch 30 serves to compensate for the consumers 38 connected to the busbars 28. If the clutch switch 30 fails, the flywheel 34 continues to drive the drive 31 because the voltage is switched off Network part is held by the exciter. Since the reactive power generation by the machine 31 is greater than that of the machine 33, the excitation of the motor 33 is partly taken over by the unit 31/32.
So it flows into the line part 36 active and reactive power according to the arrows 39, that is, active and reactive power have the opposite direction as before. In quadrant image 6, the vertical line means the active power, the right one the reactive power. The power vector has rotated from position 40 to position 41. The change in this vector position can limit the reactive power generation of the machines 31 and 33 via suitable relays and thereby prevent an increase in the voltage and mutual feeding of the machines with active power.
If the machine 31 is coupled to a flywheel instead of the machine 33, only the reactive power reverses its direction, and the reactive power vector goes from position 40 to position 42. If machine 33 is coupled to the flywheel and outweighs that from the start If the machine 33 generates reactive power, the power vector moves from position 40 to position 43 at the moment of switching off.
All these changes in the position of the power vector can be recorded using known means; It is only a question of installing the relevant relay at a point in the network in which a change in the power vector can be expected with certainty if the dangerous switch fails.
The registration extends to all machines that generate reactive power, both those that generate active and reactive power at the same time, as well as those that run idle, that is, only have a power consumption as far as they can cover their losses. iiEClien.
