Blade device on axial steam or gas turbines. The invention relates to a blade device on axial steam or gas turbines, in which a cover ring protrudes over the leading edges of the blades of an impeller and seals with its front edge against the turbine housing. In the known turbines of this type, the cover ring is bluntly cut abge at its front edge, as a result of which the steam stream hits the annular end face of the cover ring, which results in significant energy losses.
According to the present invention, the disadvantage of the previously known cover rings of the turbine blades is eliminated in that the part of the cover ring protruding over the inlet edges of the blades of an impeller has a cross section that decreases towards its inlet edge.
The drawing illustrates two embodiments of the invention in a schematic representation.
In the exemplary embodiments shown, the cover ring b leaves the rear part of the blade heads free in order to allow the steam to escape in the radial direction against the exit edges of the blades. For the purpose of a vortex-free transition of the steam as possible into the next stator, the inner surface of the turbine housing g is widened conically behind the cover rings b.
The part c of the cover ring b protruding over the leading edges of the barrel blades la is sharpened like a knife or a cone. In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the outer surface of the cover ring b is cylindrical, while the inner surface is curved against the cutter-like leading edge ge. The gap s formed by the cover ring b with the housing g lies in the direction of flow of the propellant and is kept as narrow as possible regardless of the rivet head n, while it is expanded accordingly in front of the rivet head by unscrewing the housing wall.
The leading edge of the cover ring b is brought as close as possible to the preceding control stage 1 e. In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the front part c of the cover ring b is bent so that it forms a hollow truncated cone which widens against the direction of flow A of the propellant. Corresponding to the bend in the shroud, the part of the housing g surrounding part c is conically cut out, so that the gap s lies in a conical surface which narrows in the direction of flow of the propellant.
The invention avoids the energy losses that occur in the previous blade devices with cover rings as a result of the impact of the propellant against the front annular surfaces of the cover rings. Rather, the propellant is taken from the curved inner surfaces of the protruding deck rings b in the most favorable manner and led into the next guide stage with almost no loss. As a result of the cross-section of the cover rings b decreasing towards the leading edge, their projecting part c is given greater elasticity, so that the gap s is narrowed by the steam pressure.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the gap losses are further reduced by the fact that the bent part c of the cover ring b tries to drive the steam located in the gap s to the point of greatest extent, and therefore the flow direction counteracts. As a result, a congestion occurs at the entry point of the gap, which significantly reduces the gap losses. A further advantage of the invention is that the weight of the parts of the shrouds protruding over the rotor blades and therefore also the eccentric stress on the rotor blades is reduced.
The invention can of course also be used in those blade devices in which the shrouds completely cover the heads of the blades.
