Eindampfapparat.

Evaporator. Double-walled apparatus are usually used for evaporation, in which the vessel in which the liquid to be evaporated is located is surrounded by a closed jacket to which the heating steam is fed. Very often the steam jacket is only arranged at the bottom of the evaporation vessel.
These devices have the advantage that the heating surface is a flat surface and consequently any deposits of the evaporating liquid. Crusts that form on the inside of the heating surface are easy to remove.
In contrast, a very significant disadvantage of this design is that the heating surface is necessarily relatively small. This fact is particularly important if the evaporation is to be carried out by means of compressed exhaust steam, because this evaporation process, in order to be economical, has to work with relatively very small temperature differences between heating steam and liquid and, as a result, a large heating surface is required to supply the necessary amount of heat to the liquid.
In addition to a large heating surface, however, it is also important in very many cases that it is easily cleaned, that is, of deposits of the evaporating liquid. can be released. This is the case, for example, with the evaporation of milk and many other liquids containing organic substances.
According to the present invention, a large and at the same time easy to clean heating surface cladupch is achieved that, a BEZW. several heating elements for steam made up of elongated elements can be rotated around an axis at the ends of the heating elements and passing through the steam supply and the condensation water outlet of the heating element,
.that the respectively. the radiators upwards against or. can be swung over the surface of the liquid.
The drawing illustrates several exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention.

One system consists of semicircular tubes, the second of straight tubes. The movement of the systems. when swinging up is shown in Fig.
indicated. The evaporation vessel is closed here and provided with a line for the exhaust steam.
The oscillating radiators according to the definition are important for the conversion of older apparatus equipped with a steam jacket or even operated with live steam for use in compression evaporation. It goes without saying that it can be useful in some cases to connect both heating systems. This is indicated in the drawings. that the bottom of the steam vessel is provided with a steam jacket.
For example, such combined apparatus can be used in the treatment of milk or whey. In an apparatus that is equipped with both movable heating elements and a steam jacket, the entire treatment of the boil can take place in one and the same vessel, for example by pre-evaporation using the compression method using the movable one Radiators and the final evaporation takes place through live steam in the floor jacket.
Or pre-evaporation can also be carried out by means of compression evaporation both in the movable radiators and in the floor jacket, and the final evaporation can be carried out using live steam in the floor jacket. If necessary, live steam can also be used both in the movable radiators and in the floor jacket.
