Description

Process for the production of a fuel for explosion engines. Patent No. 10 $ 496 describes a process for the production of a fuel for explosion engines, which is based on the fact that the mineral oil obtainable according to the process of the patent by means of a cracking process carried out in the presence of water vapor is mixed with other engine propellants which otherwise are not easily miscible with low-boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons, for example mixed with alcohol, acetone or benzene.

It has now been shown that this property of miscibility with such propellants occurs quite generally when the process of coking and saturation of high-boiling oils is carried out in the presence of steam.

All low-boiling, low-boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons which have been obtained under the action of water vapor, to which hydrogen can of course also be added, can be used; process into homogeneous fuel mixtures by mixing with other engine propellants.

For the production of the low-boiling hydrocarbons, any process using steam may have been used; So, for example, pressure distillation, and also processes in which the high-boiling products to be processed have been passed through molten metals or salts or via electrical heating wires or through heating tubes, etc. as heating means. The mixture is best made in powerful mixing machines, for example in colloid mills. The qualitative and quantitative composition of the fuel can vary within wide limits.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production of a fuel for explosion engines, characterized in that such low-boiling saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons obtained from high-boiling hydrocarbons, in the production of which water vapor was added by a Krak process, are mixed with other engine propellants.
