Appareil pour l'entretien des planchers. L'objet de la présente invention est un appareil pour l'entretien des planchers.
Le dessin annexé donne, à titre d'exemple, trois formes d'exécution de l'appareil faisant l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 est une élévation et la fig. 2 est une vue antérieure en bout d'une première forme d'exécution de l'appareil destiné à l'em ploi de la cire à parquets; La fig. 3 est un fragment de section transversale suivant la ligne A de fig.l, et la fig. 4 un fragment de section suivant la ligne B-de fig. 3,_ d'une deuxième forme d'exé cution de l'appareil utilisant l'huile liquide.
Enfin la fig. 5 est une élévation, à une échelle réduite; d'une troisième forme d'exé cution de l'appareil utilisant du savon solide.
Dans la première forme d'exécution repré sentée en fig. 1 et 2, l'appareil comporte un corps central en forme de bloc 1, pourvu d'une douille 2 dans laquelle s'emboîte sous un angle approprié pour la manipulation, un manche 3. Le prolongement de l'axe du manche forme la bissectrice entre les deux bras du bloc 1, dont l'un supporte le récipient 4, contenant la cire à parquets et l'autre bras supporte un tampon 5 destiné à étendre la cire pour en enduire le parquet.
Le récipient 4 est de forme prismatique s'emboîtant sur un fond 6, formant corps avec le bloc 1 et servant en même temps à guider le récipient et à porter les organes du dispositif automatique pour débiter la cire. A cet effet, le récipient 4 est pourvu à sa partie inférieure, sur les quatre côtés, d'un rebord 7. Deux des côtés opposés sont pour vus de tiges de guidage ou glissières 8, fixées au fond 6 et les deux autres côtés sont reliés chacun au fond 6 par deux res sorts 9, dont les extrémités libres appuient sur le rebord 7 du récipient.
En exerçant une pression sur le fond supérieur du réci pient, la tendance de faire glisser ce dernier sur le fond inférieur 6 le long des glissières 8, est modérée par les ressorts croisés 9 qui cèdent proportionnellement à la pression exer cée, en exprimant ainsi la cire renfermée dans le récipient.
Pour bien étendre la cire débitée, le fond supérieur du récipient est pourvu d'une brosse 10 formant couvercle ajouré. Le tampon 5 fixé à l'autre bras du bloc. 1 comporte un bourrage, par exemple en feutre recouvert d'un chiffon oui morceau de drap serti autour du bloc par une bride 11 per mettant le remplacement périodique de ces organes.
Pour mettre l'appareil en fonction, on le retourne avec la brosse 10 vers le parquet à cirer. L'opérateur exerce, pendant le motive- ment de va-et-vient, une pression sur le manche 3, qui a pour effet de comprimer le récipient 4 et les ressorts 9 et de faire pénétrer la cire dans la brosse 10 et de là sur la surface du parquet. La cire ainsi étendue est ensuite frottée au moyen du tampon 5 qu'on applique sur le parquet en renversant simplement l'appareil.
Lorsqu'il s'agit d'employer l'appareil avec de l'huile liquide, par exemple pour nettoyer et entretenir des linoleums, le récipient petit être construit suivant la seconde forme d'exé cution, représentée en fig. 3 et 4. D'après cette exécution, le récipient 12 est fixé d'une manière étanche sur le fond 13 du bloc.
Le fond supérieur du récipient est obturé par un rouleau 14 pourvu de stries longitudinales 15 et supporté à chaque extrémité par un sup port 16 à ressorts 17 qui appuient constaan- ment le rouleau 14 contre l'ouverture srapé- rieure du récipient. Les joints entre le rouleau et les parois du récipient sont assurés par des bords flexibles 18, par exemple par des bandes en caoutchouc.
En renversant l'appareil, de soi-te que l'orifice du récipient touche le plancher, l'opé rateur, en appuyant sur le manche dans son mouvement de va-et-vient, comprime le rou leau 14 et ses ressorts 17 vers l'intérieur du récipient et distribue l'huile en lames fines transportées par chaque strie 15 en contact avec le plancher pendant la rotation du rou leau 14. On retourne ensuite l'appareil avec le tampon vers le bas et on frotte l'huile pour l'étendre sur le plancher. L'appareil petit servir également à écuyer le plancher. Dans ce cas, il peut avoir la forme d'exécution représentée en fi;. 5.
Le récipient 19 fixé sur l'un des bras dit bloc 1 est aménagé. pour recevoir un ou plusieurs morceaux de savon 20, pressés vers l'orifice supérieur du récipient par un ressort 21 à tension réglable par les vis à papillon 22. L'autre bras du bloc est pourvu d'une brosse 23. On savonne au préalable, en appliquant l'ori fice du récipient 19 sur le plancher et on re tourne l'appareil pour écuyer avec la brosse 23.

In the first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 and 2, the apparatus comprises a central block-shaped body 1, provided with a socket 2 in which fits at an appropriate angle for handling, a handle 3. The extension of the axis of the handle forms the bisecting between the two arms of the block 1, one of which supports the container 4, containing the parquet wax and the other arm supports a pad 5 intended to spread the wax to coat the parquet.
The container 4 is of prismatic shape which fits onto a base 6, forming a body with the block 1 and serving at the same time to guide the container and to carry the members of the automatic device for dispensing the wax. For this purpose, the container 4 is provided at its lower part, on all four sides, with a flange 7. Two of the opposite sides are seen with guide rods or slides 8, fixed to the bottom 6 and the other two sides are seen. each connected to the bottom 6 by two res spells 9, the free ends of which bear on the rim 7 of the container.
By exerting pressure on the upper base of the receptacle, the tendency to slide the latter on the lower base 6 along the guides 8 is moderated by the crossed springs 9 which yield in proportion to the pressure exerted, thus expressing the wax enclosed in the container.
To properly spread the wax delivered, the upper bottom of the container is provided with a brush 10 forming a perforated cover. The pad 5 attached to the other arm of the block. 1 comprises a stuffing, for example felt covered with a cloth or piece of cloth crimped around the block by a flange 11 allowing the periodic replacement of these members.
To put the device into operation, it is returned with the brush 10 towards the waxing floor. The operator exerts, during the back-and-forth motivation, a pressure on the handle 3, which has the effect of compressing the container 4 and the springs 9 and of making the wax penetrate into the brush 10 and from there on the surface of the parquet. The wax thus spread is then rubbed by means of the pad 5 which is applied to the parquet by simply overturning the apparatus.
When it comes to using the apparatus with liquid oil, for example to clean and maintain linoleums, the receptacle can be constructed according to the second embodiment, shown in fig. 3 and 4. According to this embodiment, the container 12 is fixed in a sealed manner on the bottom 13 of the block.
The upper bottom of the container is closed by a roller 14 provided with longitudinal ridges 15 and supported at each end by a support 16 with springs 17 which constantly press the roller 14 against the deep opening of the container. The joints between the roller and the walls of the container are provided by flexible edges 18, for example by rubber bands.
By overturning the apparatus, so that the opening of the receptacle touches the floor, the operator, by pressing the handle in its back and forth movement, compresses the roller 14 and its springs 17 towards inside the container and distributes the oil in fine blades transported by each groove 15 in contact with the floor during the rotation of the roller 14. The apparatus is then turned upside down with the pad down and the oil is rubbed to lay it on the floor. The small appliance can also be used to squirt the floor. In this case, it may have the embodiment shown at fi ;. 5.
The container 19 fixed on one of the arms called block 1 is fitted. to receive one or more pieces of soap 20, pressed towards the upper opening of the container by a spring 21 with adjustable tension by the butterfly screws 22. The other arm of the block is provided with a brush 23. Soaping beforehand , by applying the opening of the receptacle 19 on the floor and turning the appliance over to wipe with the brush 23.
