1 punktiert angedeutet), wodurch zunächst be wirkt wird, dass alle beiden Schalter<I>2</I> und <I>3</I> Strom empfangen und<I>beide</I> Worte "HEIL" <I>und</I> "GUT" ineinandergemischt auf dem Re klameschild 1 aufleuchten.
Switching device for electric neon signs. The subject of the present invention is a switching device for electric neon signs, in which it is made possible by means of at least two switches that are connected to the incandescent lamps of the neon sign, and a changeover switch in operative connection with means consisting of insulation material, which partly release contact, partially prevent a neon sign to arise in the desired order from groups of light bulbs, with two or more representations appear merged into each other, from which a respectively without a previous dark pause. several groups can be made to disappear,
so that in the end only one group is lit.
The subject of the present invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the following drawings, namely: Fig. 1 shows the scheme of the general switchgear, Fig. 2 a part of the switch on a larger scale in a fragment, Fig. 3 the connections of the lower part of the Switch with the lamps on the billboard; 4 and 5 the lower part of a switch together with a perforated insulating template with a cover plate shown in various positions.
The billboard 1 shown in Fig. 1 is provided with a larger number of electric incandescent lamps which are spaced equally from one another. All bulbs are unipolar with switches 2, 3 a related party.
The actual switching apparatus consists of two switches 2 and 3 connected in parallel, as well as a two-stage changeover switch 4, wel = before they are all connected to one and the same pole.
From Fig. 2 the construction of one of these switches can be seen. In a metal plate 15 as many contact pins 20 are resiliently embedded in a suitable manner as the billboard 1 has incandescent lamps.
This metal plate is connected to the conductor 9 and is arranged at hinge 23 rotating bar. In the same way as the current-carrying resilient contact pins 20 are underneath them, exactly beneath the bar, in a fixed base plate 16, which is made of insulating material, non-resilient metallic contacts 17 are arranged in the same number in such a way that
that each of the resilient contact pins? (l a fixed, immovable contact 17, which is connected to its corresponding light bulb on the billboard by a separate wire, while all the light bulbs of the Re:
iI.imC- ta.fel find their ingenious return line through the conductor 12 (Fig. 1 and Fig. 3).
In Fig. 2 an Isolic-r- selihaben 18, as well as the cover plate 19 he is visible. The former consists of a thin plate made of insulating material, in which, in the same arrangement, as incandescent lamps on the billboard 1, suitable holes are to be made to light up: 3? perforated into it.
The cover plate 19 also consists of a thin plate of the same size of some kind of resistant insulating material, but without any perforation.
In Fig. 3 a part of the connections after the incandescent lamps and the switch is shown, while in Fig. 1 the switch 2 with inserted insulating template 18 and M-decl plate 19 is visible in plan.
In Fig. 5, the switch 2 appears in plan, with the cover plate 19 -from the insulated insulating template 18 is removed.
The mode of operation of the present construction is as follows: If the above-mentioned insulating template, such as the cover plate, were removed, for example, and the latte 15 would be pressed onto the base plate 16 of a switch that was held in, then s <iiiiil bulbs on billboard 1 are lit,
If, however, the perforated insulating template is placed between the metal plate 15 and the base plate 16 of a switch beforehand, only those lamps light up for

<tb> Example <SEP> in <SEP>? <SEP> (F <SEP> i_. <SEP> 1), <SEP> inserted <SEP> and <SEP> the same closed.
Since the former is known to only allow those of the numerous contact pins 20 that come into contact with the lower contacts 17 through the holes 22 to be supplied with power, only those incandescent lamps on the advertising sign can accordingly be used which there form the word "HEAL".
If, for example, the word "GOOD" and <I> </I> <I> without prior </I> deactivation, <I> that </I> means without prior dark pause, appear after the word "HEIL", so that the newly appearing word "GOOD" emerges from the already existing word "HEIL", so for this purpose simply an insulating stencil, the holes of which form the word "GOOD", is inserted into the second switch -8 and the switch closed.
The changeover switch 4 is then slowly brought from its current position 6 into the middle position 7 (as indicated in zig. 1 by dotted lines), which initially causes all two switches <I> 2 </I> and <I> 3 < / I> received power and <I> both </I> words "HEIL" <I> and </I> "GUT" mixed together on the advertising sign 1 light up.
Only after the switch 4 has been brought into its end position -8 does the first appearing word "HEIL" disappear inconspicuously, 'while the word "GOOD" is now - without a previous dark pause or light interruption free on the advertising signs 1 and there alone can come into its own.
The present idea can of course also be carried out in other ways, and the present form is only intended to serve as an example.
