Auf der anliegenden Zeichnung ist der Erfindungsgegenstand beispielsweise veran schaulicht; und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 eine schaubildliche Darstellung eines Wärmeaustauschkörpers mit abgenom menem vorderen Eckstück, Fig. 2 eine gleiche Ansicht desselben Körpers im Schnitt ohne Eckstücke, Fig. 3 ein Eckstück in grösserem hIass- stabe, und Fig. 4 die Oberansicht einer Eckverbin- dung;

Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 13 ist a.rf,)er denn Luftventilator noch ein Rauch gasventilator 31 vorgesehen, da in diesem Falle auch die Rauchgase einem Richtungs wechsel von 180 " unterworfen sind, und zwar ist der Ventilator mit dem zugehörigen Unrlenkstutzen kombiniert. Da bekanntlich Zentrifugalgebläse imstande sind, das Medium stets senkrecht zur Saugrichtung z.. befördern, so erfolgt die Umlenkung der Gase an sich verlustlos;
Heat exchange device. The present invention relates to a heat exchange device working according to the cross-flow principle with at least one heat exchange body with parallel plates, which are connected to one another and are at a certain distance from one another, which is characterized in that
that free side parts obtained through corner cut-outs of the panels are bent with their front ends alternately up and down at obtuse angles to the panels and flat against each other and the cover and intermediate panels connected by means of continuous bracing bolts brush through corrugated sheet metal running parallel to each other in the direction of flow are stiffened, which are performed alternately on another side of the bolts.
The subject of the invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, for example; 1 shows a diagrammatic representation of a heat exchange body with the front corner piece removed, FIG. 2 shows a same view of the same body in section without corner pieces, FIG. 3 shows a corner piece on a larger scale, and FIG. 4 shows the top view of a corner connector - manure;
Fig. "O is a partial section through the body with the pressure line pipe attached to the bracing bolts; Fig. 6 is a partial cross-section through a modified embodiment of the heat exchanger body (along line E-I of Fig. 7); Fig. 7 shows an associated perpendicular section along line AB of FIG. 6, FIG. 8 is a partial section along line CD of FIG. 6;
9 is a partial cross-section through a further embodiment of the corner connection; 10 and 11 show in side and front views a multi-body heat exchange device to be assembled;
12 and 13 are side views of air heating systems according to the invention. The heat exchange body ca works according to the cross flow principle and has a cube-shaped shape. It consists mainly of normal, commercially available sheet metal plates, namely a base plate 1, a cover plate 2 and any number of intermediate plates 3, which have angular cutouts 4 at the corners and are arranged parallel to one another.
Each of the intermediate plates 3 is of the two thirds, for example air and combustion gases. Steam or other, washed over in a cross flow and acts as a partition to convey their heat exchange. The front ends 5 and 'D zl of the free sides parts or flaps of the intermediate plates are alternately bent downwards and upwards at an obtuse angle to the plane of the plate against each other and their abutting edges are welded or soldered together if necessary.
This results in air and gas channels 6, 6a, which cross in alternating directions and are flowed through by the agent in question in one direction or the other. All channels are in the corners ge jointly by corner pieces 7 (Fig. 3 and 4) sealed against each other, as well as against the outside air, which place under corresponding tension against the contiguous sealing surface of a corner of the entire panels of the body.
Here are all airways on one side and all gas paths on the other side of the sealing surfaces of the combined plate body. It should also be emphasized that:
) for the purpose of perfect sealing, the Winkelaus sections of the sheet metal plates are shaped according to the shape of the corner pieces, and the turning of the side parts is not exactly in the depth of the corner cutouts to prevent otherwise inevitable cracking. Only the ends of the remaining, flap-like side parts are slightly bent at an obtuse angle and lie against each other with appropriate tension.
The distance between the sheet metal plates, respectively. #. the width of the channels is further secured by loosely corrugated sheet metal strips 8, 8a, which act as spacers and which each run in the direction of flow of the medium and parallel to one another, so that a corresponding subdivision of the air or. Gas flow takes place, which experiences a movement corresponding to the wave surface when passing through,
which results in increased heat dissipation. In each case, the two I 'iul') ei - -en sheet metal strips 8, 8'1 of each channel abut with their front ends against one or the other of the inner surfaces of the corner pieces 7 (Fig. 3 and - 1),
Urid, due to a certain resilience, with appropriately sized larvae, they automatically seal the dead space between the plate ends 5 and 5 "and the channel. These sheet metal strips can of course also be welded into the corner pieces.
The connection of the remaining sheet metal plates is carried out by means of bracing bolts 9, which lead through their bores, together with nuts 10, which press the whole thing tightly together when tightened. As can be seen from Fig. 2, the corrugated iron strips are alternately guided on another side of the bolts,
so that the intersection points of the corrugated iron strips that cross each other for both means lie alternately on the other side of the bolts.
The bolts 9 are also designed to be hollow and their interior is through transverse openings 13 (Fig. 5 ) finite the gas channels in connec tion brought to the latter BEZW without disassembling the heat exchange body. During its operation, a pressure medium such as air supplied to the bolt by means of line 14 is used. To be able to clean steam etc.
The securing of the corner pieces 7 is carried out by the same bolts t) with nuts 10, which pass through the extension pieces 11 of the base and cover plate.
The base plate 1 and the cover plate 2 are just like the stubs 7 with angle iron 15 so; fisted together, dit1, the open front sides of the heat exchange body a:
frame-like flanges received that a convenient and optional combination of the individual bodies next to or behind one another, respectively. enable one above the other to form a closed heat exchange device according to the required heating areas. If exhaust steam comes into question as a means for the heat emission, a modified heat exchange body according to Fig. 6-9 is advantageously used.
The same differs from the one just described in that the abutting edges of all the side parts are welded together completely tightly, whereby the abutting edges themselves can be evenly beveled, according to FIG. 7, or can overlap each other as at 16, according to FIG .
The sealing of the channels in the corners is also done here by corner pieces 7 of the type described, but with the interposition of gaskets in the form of similarly designed angle pieces 17 made of soft metal or another against steam ge sufficiently resistant material. The corner pieces and seals are secured by means of angle pieces 18 and pressure screws 19, the latter of which lie against a round compression rod 20 in each corner that is adapted to the curvature of the corner pieces.
In addition, in order to ensure a tight seal between the channels at the points where the bracing bolts pass through, the latter are surrounded by short pipe sections or sleeves 21 within the air channels, which simultaneously act as spacers in connection with the loosely inserted corrugated sheet metal strips 8. The same purpose he fill in the steam channels the rails or sheet metal strips 22, the bores of which are lined with sleeves 23 made of soft material in order to seal from.
Furthermore, in the midst of the free fields of the intermediate plates, two spherical or 'other pressures 24 are found which touch within the steam channels and are intended to counteract the negative pressure occurring in the latter due to condensation, so that no destruction or. The body leaks in. Just as the corrugated sheet metal strips cause increased turbulence in the air in the air ducts, the same effect is exerted on the steam flow by the pressures and thus increased heat dissipation is achieved. At the same time, the spherical surfaces facilitate the separation of the condensation water and its removal against the direction of the steam flow.
In a departure from the securing of the corner pieces 7 illustrated in FIG. 6, the same can also be fastened according to FIG. 9 with the aid of two continuous screw bolts 25 each. A bracing bolt 9 according to the construction of FIG. 1 also ensures a tight fit of the angularly curved central part.
As mentioned, the box-like design of the open channel sides of the individual heat exchange body allows a convenient connection of several such bodies, if it is a question of achieving a sufficiently large heating surface. This is of particular advantage when it comes to installing a new air heater system in an existing boiler system.
In addition to the number of individual bodies or elements, the number of their panels, which determines the height of the bodies, can be selected as desired, so that the available space can be used comfortably. 'The connection of the individual bodies aside or one behind the other, for example, by screwing their flanges together, whereas that of different groups, for example according to FIGS. 10 to 13, by means of deflection or circulation nozzles 26,
during rend special transition nozzle 27 the connection to the flue gas line and the chimney BEZW. convey the air lines or fans. While the flue gases pass through the heat exchange bodies a in the direction of the arrows 28 from the bottom up, the air flows in the direction of the arrow 29 with multiple deflections through the body (Fig. 10 and 11), so that a mixed cross and counter flow principle for the system results. If necessary, the gas and air paths could of course also be interchanged.
When the media pass through such a device, there are losses of their flow velocities with every change of direction, which considerably increase the losses already generated by friction, so that an undesirable slowdown in the flow velocity can occur. This deficiency is resolved, as can be seen from FIGS. 13 and 13,
fix by turning on a fan 30 in a number of ways. With the latter, the air speed can be kept at any desired height, while the gases from, as they are not subject to any change of direction, flow in without significant draft losses through the transition nozzle 27 for the chimney.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 13, a.rf,) he air fan is also provided with a smoke gas fan 31, since in this case the smoke gases are also subjected to a change of direction of 180 ", namely, the fan is combined with the associated Unrlenkstutzen. Since centrifugal fans are known to be able to always convey the medium perpendicular to the suction direction z .., the deflection of the gases takes place without loss;
apart from its efficiency, the fan only has. to compensate for the connection losses and the losses caused by changes in the cross-section of the gas paths.
Flaps are also switched on in the deflecting stubs, which allow cleaning, and the transition stubs are also equipped with appropriate cleaning flaps in order to check the ducts, in particular the flue gas ducts, and, if necessary, to clean them by hand with special aids. to be able to.
